  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Makes most of two Week 3 targets

Kelce caught both of his targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Dolphins. Kelce notched a 48-yard gain on the game's opening play and added an 11-yard touchdown catch with 2:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. Despite Kelce's lack of involvement as a pass catcher in between those two plays, he finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Rashee Rice, who turned nine targets into 88 yards. Heading into a Week 4 road game against the Raiders, Kelce has compiled 14 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns on 18 targets.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: TEs to start

Kelce is off to a great start with 12 catches for 172 yards and a touchdown on 16 targets against Denver and Indianapolis. He should stay hot against the Dolphins, who struggled to defense George Kittle in Week 2 after he had four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown on four targets. We don't know how long Kelce, 36, will continue to produce at this level, but Fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to start him in Week 3.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Signature showing in OT win

Kelce secured nine of 11 targets for 101 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' 33-30 overtime win over the Colts on Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes was in vintage form Sunday night, and Kelce unsurprisingly was a big reason why. The legendary duo was in sync throughout the night, and it helped Kelce to team-high figures in receptions, receiving yards and targets. The veteran tight end has posted a combined 12-172-1 line on 16 targets over his first two games, making him a top option at his position in all formats as a tantalizing Week 3 road matchup against the Dolphins approaches next Sunday.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Game-long catch in Week 1 win

Kelce brought in three of five targets for 71 yards in the Chiefs' 31-10 win over the Broncos on Monday night. Kelce comfortably paced the Chiefs in receiving yards while tying for the team lead in receptions and finishing as the runner-up in targets. The legendary tight end's night would have been unremarkable without his game-long 59-yard catch, which came on a third-down play just before the six-minute mark of the third quarter and brought the ball down to the Broncos' four-yard line. Kelce's chemistry with Patrick Mahomes is unquestioned, and with the prolific quarterback looking to be at close to full health already Monday night, fantasy-friendly performances should continue to be the norm between the two as the season unfolds.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Looking to bounce back in 2026

Kelce said Wednesday that he wants to "prove to myself that I can play at a better level than I did last year" this upcoming season, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports. "That's probably the biggest thing for me, is making sure I'm accountable to the guys in this [locker] room and every single play that I'm out there," Kelce continued. "[Just] being more accountable when the ball is in the air. There were a few games last year that I felt like I put on myself. In the blocking world, being able to get my guy so we can spring guys for bigger gains. And just being a better leader." Kelce led the Chiefs in receiving last season, but his 50.1 yards per game were his fewest in the last 12 years. He did average 11.2 yards per catch, though, which was a big jump from his 8.5 yards-per-catch average in 2024. Kelce is turning 37 years old in less than two months and doesn't move like he used to, but he still knows how to get open and has undeniable chemistry with Patrick Mahomes. Kelce should remain a big factor on third downs and in the red zone for Kansas City, but he's no longer one of fantasy's top tight ends.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Looks sharp to begin training camp

Kelce was one of Kansas City's standout performers on the first day of training camp, Jesse Newell of The Athletic reports. "He looked pretty good," head coach Andy Reid said of Kelce. "He stayed in shape." Kelce had an eventful offseason ahead of his 14th NFL seasons, as he married Taylor Swift on July 3. The 36-year-old tight end recorded at least 823 regular-season receiving yards in each of the previous 12 campaigns.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Officially re-signs with Chiefs

Kelce signed a three-year, $54.74 million contract with Kansas City on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Kelce agreed to terms on a new contract with the Chiefs in early March and now officially re-ups with Kansas City, where he has spent his entire career since being selected by the team in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. The 36-year-old tight end has seen his production dip in recent years but nonetheless remains productive, having surpassed 800 receiving yards in both 2024 and 2025. His contract had previously been reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN as a one-year, $12 million deal worth up to $15 million, but Kelce and the Chiefs have instead negotiated a multi-year pact. As such, as long as Kelce opts to continue his playing career, he will be positioned to operate as a key cog on offense for QB Patrick Mahomes (knee).

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Looks set to re-up with Chiefs

Kelce is expected to re-sign with the Chiefs for a 14th season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Kelce weighed retirement this offseason but is now expected not only to continue his playing career for a 14th season in the NFL, but to do so while remaining with the team that selected him in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. The four-time All-Pro has seen his receiving production decline over the past two seasons, across which he's averaged just over 800 receiving yards and four touchdowns, but he remains a key component of Kansas City's passing game and will provide stability for an offense in need of reliability, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) recovering from ACL and LCL tears suffered last December. Per Albert Breer of SI.com, Kelce's deal to re-sign with the Chiefs is not yet official but is actively in the works.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Expected to continue career in 2026

Kelce appears set to return for the 2026 campaign, and the Chiefs are in the mix to re-sign him, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports. Kelce is an impending free agent and has been considering whether to continue his career or retire this offseason. The four-time All-Pro spent the first 13 seasons of his career with the Chiefs, but it's unclear if he'll stay in Kansas City for his 14th season. Kelce racked up seven straight 1,000-yard seasons from 2016 to 2022, and he's totaled 1,674 yards and eight touchdowns while missing just one regular-season game over the last two years. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is recovering from surgery undergone in mid-December to repair ACL and LCL tears, so Kelce will likely be catching passes from someone else Week 1 if he remains with Kansas City in 2026.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Wanted back in Kansas City

The Chiefs have remained in touch with Kelce during the offseason and are hopeful to re-sign him for the 2026 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. For the second offseason in a row, the 36-year-old tight end is taking some time to ponder his playing future before he comes to a decision on whether to continue his career or head into retirement. If the impending free agent elects to keep playing in 2026, Kelce's preference would almost certainly be to return to Kansas City for a 13th season, and the Chiefs are seemingly willing to keep a roster spot open for him. Though the Chiefs finished a disappointing 6-11 in 2025 and played without star quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) for their final three contests, Kelce still enjoyed a bounce-back season in terms of efficiency. He played the full 17-game slate and recorded 76 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns on 108 targets, with his 7.9 yards per target representing a big uptick from his 2024 mark of 6.2.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Hits more milestones

Kelce recorded three receptions on six targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 14-12 loss to the Raiders. The Chiefs predictably struggled to move the ball with the combination of Chris Oladokun and Shane Buechele leading the offense. Kelce still managed to hit a few milestones to add to his storied career, becoming the third tight end to 13,000 receiving yards in his career while also recording at least 75 receptions for the 10th straight season. Retirement rumors will now become prevalent until Kelce makes a decision about his playing future, and this could prove to be his final game in the NFL.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Top DFS Play

There is not a tight end on the Christmas slate I want to play, but Kelce's price has fallen far enough that I'm choosing him in what could be his last game at Arrowhead Stadium. I am not sure the Chiefs third string QB can get the ball to him consistently, but I expect him to try. Kelce had his best game of the season against this defense, catching nine passes for 91 yards and a touchdown in Week 11.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Misses Mahomes in Week 16 loss

Kelce caught one of four targets for six yards in Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Titans. With Patrick Mahomes (knee) lost for the season and Gardner Minshew (knee) not even making it to halftime before going down as well, Kelce was left with third-string QB Chris Oladokun under center, and the duo showed very little chemistry en route to the veteran tight end's worst numbers of 2025. Minshew may have suffered a torn ACL, so a week of first-team reps together could improve that connection, but Kelce -- along with the rest of the Kansas City passing attack -- will be a very shaky fantasy option in Week 17 against the Broncos.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Paces pass catchers in loss

Kelce brought in seven of nine targets for 70 yards in the Chiefs' 16-13 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. Kelce paced the Chiefs in receiving yards while tying Rashee Rice for the team lead in receptions as well during a loss that officially eliminated Kansas City from playoff contention. The perennial Pro Bowler was the intended receiver on Gardner Minshew's game-ending interception, with the veteran backup quarterback in the game due to Patrick Mahomes having suffered a potentially serious knee injury on the first play after the two-minute warning. Kelce should remain a key part of the offense for the final three games, although how much run head coach Andy Reid will give a veteran player such as the talented tight end remains to be seen, particularly if Mahomes is sidelined the rest of the way.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Sets franchise record in loss

Kelce caught nine of 13 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Broncos. With his 21-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter, the veteran tight end became Kansas City's all-time franchise leader in touchdowns with 84 for his career, passing Priest Holmes. Kelce has produced more than 90 yards with a touchdown in two of the last three games, and on the season he sports a 50-631-4 line on 66 targets through 10 contests, keeping him on pace to deliver his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2022. Kelce will look to keep rolling in Week 12 against the Colts.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Gains 66 yards Sunday

Kelce finished with four receptions on five targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to Buffalo. Kelce finished right around the single-game averages of 4.6 receptions and 59.3 yards that he entered Sunday's contest with, highlighting the consistent production the aging superstar has provided in fantasy this season. The 35-year-old enters Kansas City's Week 10 bye with a solid 41-540-3 receiving line through nine starts, putting him on pace to finish with his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2022. It is worth noting that Kelce was evaluated for a concussion at halftime, but he was cleared for the second half and finished without any reported setbacks. Kelce and the Chiefs will attempt to get back into the win column in a road tilt against the Broncos on Nov. 16.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Vintage performance on MNF

Kelce finished with six receptions (on eight targets) for 99 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 28-7 win over the Commanders. Kelce turned back the clock with a vintage stat line while leading his club in receiving in a one-sided victory. It also was the most yards the star tight end has recorded in a game through eight starts in 2025. The return of top wideout Rashee Rice in Week 7 has not cut into Kelce's production, with the latter averaging 4.5 receptions and 76.5 yards in the two games QB Patrick Mahomes' top targets have been active together this year. Look for Kelce to remain involved against the Bills in a matchup between AFC contenders Sunday.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Makes one big catch

Kelce recorded three receptions on three targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders. Kelce looked to be in for a big game, as he made two catches for 51 yards on the Chiefs' first offensive possession, highlighted by a long reception of 44 yards. However, he essentially went silent from there, with the offense instead running through Rashee Rice and several other different pass catchers. Nevertheless, Kelce has over 50 receiving yards in three consecutive games.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Saves best for MNF

Kelce finished with seven receptions (on eight targets) for 61 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 31-28 loss to the Jaguars. Kelce finally put it all together for his managers Week 5, producing his best fantasy score through five starts. The 35-year-old finished with a season-high seven receptions while scoring his second touchdown of the campaign. Even with his slow start to the season, Kelce is providing enough of a floor for fantasy managers with a 22-243-2 receiving line in 2025. Up next for the Chiefs will be a home tilt against a hot Lions squad on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.

  • Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Confirms return for 13th season

Kelce confirmed via social media that he will play in 2025. Kelce had stated after the Super Bowl loss to the Eagles that he hadn't yet decided whether he'd continue his playing career for a 13th pro season, but Chiefs GM Brett Veach said at the NFL Scouting Combine this week that he expected the veteran tight end to return for another year. Kelce has now confirmed it and will formally announce it on his New Heights podcast this week. Kelce will turn 36 years old in October and is certainly slowing down at this stage of his career, but he's ready to give it another run with Kansas City. It will be interesting to see what his role looks like in 2025, especially with Rashee Rice (knee) due back to full health as the Chiefs' power slot receiver and the anticipated leap of Xavier Worthy in his second season following a big stretch run and postseason. Kelce's days as an elite fantasy tight end are likely over.
