  • Bucky Irving RB | TB

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Sits out Wednesday

Irving (back/hip) missed Wednesday's walk-through practice, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Irving exited late in the first half of this past Sunday's win against the Raiders due to a back injury, which head coach Todd Bowles clarified as tightness one day later, per Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site. Irving will have two more chances to prove his health before the team potentially makes a ruling on his status for Sunday's contest at the Chargers. Rachaad White would stand to benefit if Irving is available in only a limited capacity or inactive this weekend, while Sean Tucker would bump up a spot in the backfield pecking order for Tampa Bay.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Remains limited at practice

Mostert (hip) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Mostert was a limited participant in practice throughout last week before he was inactive for Sunday's overtime win over the Jets. With that in mind, he'll likely need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday in order to approach this weekend's game against the Texans without an injury designation. If Mostert remains sidelined, however, added snaps out of the backfield would be available to reserve backs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson.

  • Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ

Jets' Kene Nwangwu: Estimated as DNP

Nwangwu (hand) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimation, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

The Iowa State product played 18 total snaps (one offensive and 17 on special teams) without recording a stat in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, seemingly sustaining a hand injury in the process. Wednesday's practice was just a walkthrough, however, if Nwangwu cannot upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday, Xavier Gipson likely will serve as the Jets' top kick returner in the Week 15 matchup against the Jaguars.

  • Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Demercado (back) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.

For a second time in three weeks, Demercado is being listed with a back injury on Arizona's practice report. During Week 13 prep, Demercado was able to practice in a limited fashion all three days, so his lack of activity Wednesday is somewhat concerning. As such, Demercado's status is one to monitor as the week goes on to see if fellow reserve back Trey Benson may be in line for a bigger role behind starter James Conner on Sunday versus the Patriots.

  • Tony Pollard RB | TEN

Titans' Tony Pollard: Bothered by ankle

Pollard missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

The Titans listed him with a foot injury at the end of October and for much of November, but Pollard hasn't missed a game this season and didn't show any obvious signs of being hurt during a 10-6 loss to the Jaguars this past Sunday. An absence for the Titans' upcoming game against Cincinnati on Sunday would leave Tyjae Spears as the likely lead back for Tennessee, although Julius Chestnut might get some carries between the tackles and in short-yardage situations.

  • Falcons' Carlos Washington: Joins active roster

The Falcons signed Washington to their active roster Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

Washington's signing to the active roster likely comes in response to the Falcons' placing rookie running back Jase McClellan (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday. Expect Washington to serve as a depth piece in Atlanta's backfield for the remainder of the season, playing behind Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier and Avery Williams.

  • Falcons' Jase McClellan: Shifts to IR

McClellan (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

The 2024 sixth-round pick from Alabama missed two consecutive games with a knee injury before being placed on injured reserve Wednesday. McClellan will now be sidelined for the remainder of the season, having appeared in two games throughout his rookie campaign, recording 32 rushing yards on 13 carries.

  • 49ers' Isaac Guerendo: Status in question for Thursday

Guerendo (foot) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Rams, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Despite operating on a short week between games, the 49ers are keeping the door open for Guerendo to suit up Week 15 following the foot sprain that forced him out of the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's win against the Bears. He was listed as a non-participant on the 49ers' first two practice reports of Week 15, both Monday and Tuesday, but he upgraded to limited participation during Wednesday's walk-through session. If he's unable to go Thursday, Guerendo will be replaced by Patrick Taylor as the 49ers' lead back, with Israel Abanikanda and practice-squad member Ke'Shawn Vaughn available as depth options behind Taylor.

  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: No practice, still bothered by knee

Hall (knee) didn't participate in the Jets' walk-through practice Wednesday, with interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich noting that the running back is "struggling a bit" with his injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

The Jets reportedly don't want to shut Hall down for the season, but they don't sound especially optimistic about his chances of avoiding a multi-game absence. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis had a near-even split of the backfield with Hall inactive for last Sunday's 32-26 loss to Miami, both topping 50 percent snap shares while getting 16 opportunities (11 carries and five targets for Allen, 10 carries and six targets for Davis). A similar approach is likely if Hall is out again this Sunday against the Jaguars.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Dealing with illness

Kamara didn't practice Wednesday due to an illness, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

It's unclear if Kamara's ailment is something that may place him in danger of missing time, but his activity level Thursday and Friday likely will be telling for his potential to suit up Sunday against the Commanders. In two games since the Saints' Week 12 bye, he's tallied 49 touches for 198 yards from scrimmage and no touchdowns, so there would be plenty of work for Kendre Miller and Jamaal Williams if Kamara is inhibited or sidelined this weekend.
