  • C.J. Anderson RB | LAR

    C.J. Anderson ready to roll

Broncos running back C.J. Anderson was not limited by a knee injury in practice, and is officially probable for Week 3 against the Raiders Monday.

  • Brandon Bolden, Leon Washington questionable for Week 3

Patriots running backs Brandon Bolden (knee) and Leon Washington (thigh) both practiced on a limited basis Friday and were ruled questionable for Week 3 at home against the Buccaneers. Washington had one carry for one yard last week and Bolden  has yet to play this season.

  • LaMichael James might not make debut

49ers running back LaMichael James is officially questionable for Sunday against the Colts in Week 3, after returning to practice for the first time since the preseason Thursday. He is likely to be a game-time decision, if he plays at all.

  • Foot no issue for Daryl Richardson for Week 3

Rams running back Daryl Richardson (foot) was a full participant in practice yet again Friday, after sitting out Wednesday's session. He is officially considered probable for Week 3 against the Cowboys, and is not expected to be limited Sunday.

  • Panthers rule out three for Week 3

The Panthers have a lengthy injury report for Week 3 against the Giants, but only three players were ruled out Friday. They are running back Kenjon Barner (foot) and defensive backs Quintin Mikell (ankle) and D.J. Moore (knee). None of them were able to practice throughout the week due to their injuries.

  • Knile Davis RB | PIT

Knile Davis sees a few carries

Chiefs reserve running back Knile Davis saw his most extensive playing time Thursday against the Eagles in Week 3, as he helped run the clock out on a 26-16 win.

David rushed for a career-high 25 yards on six carries, with a long carry of 12 yards. He did not factor into the game otherwise.

The Chiefs face the Giants in Week 4.

  • Jacquizz Rodgers hoping to provide spark in Week 3

With Steven Jackson down with a thigh injury, Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers will be looking to provide a spark heading into Week 3 at Miami.

Rodgers is expected to be used more in passing downs while Jason Snelling will be used in running downs and in short-yardage situations. Rodgers rushed for 17 yards on 11 carries (1.5 yards per carry) and caught four passes for 41 yards last week against the Rams. He'll face a Miami defense that allowed 133 yards on the ground against the Colts last week. Running backs have scored 13.0 Fantasy points per game thus far against the Dolphins.

At this point, it's safe to say that both Rodgers and Snelling are too big of a risk for any Fantasy owner this week. Both should be viewed as a low-end flex option for desperate Fantasy owners heading into Week 3.

  • LaMichael James finally returns to practice

49ers running back LaMichael James was able to practice on a limited basis Thursday, the first time he has done so since suffering a sprained knee in the preseason. Despite his apparent progress, James is not expected to make his debut in Week 3 against the Colts, according to the San Jose Mercury News

  • Cordarrelle Patterson no Fantasy option against Browns

The Vikings haven't exactly been the picture of depth offensively in 2013. Greg Jennings and Jerome Simpson have snagged 18 of the 22 passes completed to their wide receivers. Three of the other four receptions have wound up in the hands of Cordarrelle Patterson.

That does not warrant inclusion in the lineups of Fantasy owners. Patterson might receive a few more opportunities against a Cleveland secondary with one good cornerback in Joe Haden. He will likely find himself covered by one of their weaker corners. But there are better options than Patterson, who has gained a mere 24 yards and no touchdowns receiving this season.

  • Daryl Richardson returns to practice

Rams running back Daryl Richardson was a full participant in practice Thursday, after sitting out Wednesday with a foot injury. He appears to be on track for Sunday's game against the Cowboys in Week 3.
