  • Bills' Mike Gillislee: Hamstring could keep him out Sunday

Coach Rex Ryan said Thursday that Gillislee's injured hamstring is "a real concern," ESPN's Mike Rodak reports, while his availability for Sunday against Jacksonville is in jeopardy.

The LeSean McCoy-Gillislee script has certainly flipped in the last few days, as it looked like McCoy could have been the one in jeopardy after dislocating his thumb last week, which would have left Gillislee with a barrel full of carries against a weak opponent. Now Shady is practicing on a full basis, and Gillislee might not even play this week. Still, if Gillislee can get back out there in some fashion Friday, the Bills would definitely prefer to use him as McCoy's chief backup ahead of the other less qualified options.

  • Bills' Mike Gillislee: Not at practice Thursday

Gillislee (hamstring) was not at practice Thursday, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.

Gillislee left Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury, which clouds his availability for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. On the plus side from the Bills' perspective is that fellow RB LeSean McCoy is trending in the right direction for the contest.

  • Vikings' Cordarrelle Patterson: Starting Thursday

Patterson is starting for Stefon Diggs (knee) in Thursday's game at Detroit, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Patterson has garnered his fair share of snaps in each of the last seven games, meaning he may not benefit much with the uptick in usage. Indeed, he managed four catches for 39 yards during Diggs' other DNP this season, but one of those doubled as Patterson's first touchdown of the season. He'll attempt to do the same against a Lions defense that has yielded 11 touchdowns to wideouts in 10 games.

  • Texans' Jonathan Grimes: Practicing fully

Grimes returned to a full practice Wednesday after missing Houston's last two games with an undisclosed illness, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Grimes, who missed four games earlier this season with a cracked fibula, thus appears on track to be available Sunday against the Chargers, but the running back is off the fantasy radar in his reserve role behind starter Lamar Miller.

  • Raiders' Latavius Murray: Limited at practice Wednesday

Murray (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Murray played through his ankle issue Monday, and with no reported setbacks in the Raiders' win over the Texans, we expect him to be fine for Sunday's game against Carolina. Against Houston, Murray turned his 29 snaps on offense into 12 carries for 33 yards and five catches for 59 yards.

  • Thomas Rawls RB | JAC

Seahawks' Thomas Rawls: Not on injury report Wednesday

Rawls avoided Wednesday's injury report, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.

According to head coach Pete Carroll on Monday, Rawls was "pretty banged up" due to his first in-game exertion since Week 2. Rawls' ability to handle every practice rep just two days later speaks to his relative health and keeps him embedded at the top of the running back depth chart. Expect him to receive most of the touches moving forward due to C.J. Prosise's broken scapula and Troymaine Pope's high-ankle sprain.

  • Ravens' Lorenzo Taliaferro: Does not practice Wednesday

Taliaferro (thigh) did not practice Wednesday.

Taliaferro spent a majority of the season on the PUP list with a foot injury, and got injured soon after returning to game action. Once Taliaferro is able to return, he will sit behind Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon on the Ravens' running back depth chart and likely won't see many snaps, barring an injury to the aforementioned players.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Limited participant at Wednesday's practice

Drake was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury.

There was no indication prior to Wednesday's injury report that Drake was injured, suggesting that his limited participation in practice is precautionary rather than anything serious. Whether Drake is able to play Sunday or not, he won't likely receive many snaps, except in the return game, given Jay Ajayi's near-monopolistic share of running back touches.

  • Buccaneers' Jacquizz Rodgers: Limited practice Wednesday

Rodgers (foot) was limited in practice Wednesday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

On Monday, head coach Dirk Koetter noted Rodgers may be a participant in practice this week because he viewed the running back working outside with the training staff. Recovering from a sprained foot, Rodgers may take it slow in order to avoid a setback. As a result, he could enter the weekend as something akin to a game-time decision. If active Sunday against the Seahawks, he would act as Doug Martin's backup, capping his potential.

  • Matt Jones RB | WAS

Redskins' Matt Jones: Expected to be inactive Thursday

Jones is poised to be a healthy scratch yet again Thursday in Dallas.

There's been no indication that the Redskins intend to turn away from Rob Kelley, who as a workhorse has received 20 or more carries in three consecutive games. With Chris Thompson serving as the pass-catching back and Mack Brown manning special teams -- the latter isn't part of Jones' repertoire -- Jones should be included on Washington's inactive list for a third straight week.
