  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Logs season-low seven touches

Edmonds turned four carries into 46 yards and three catches (on four targets) into four yards during Sunday's 37-14 win at Cleveland.

Edmonds' first touch of the game was a 40-yard run on the Cardinals' initial possession. Thereafter, his opportunities were sporadic, with none of his other six touches coming after halftime. Part of that was due to game flow, with Arizona sporting a double-digit lead from the 4:30 mark of the first quarter onward. As such, the team went with a grinder in James Conner to eat clock. On top of that, Edmonds has dealt with a shoulder injury for the past two weeks, so it's no surprise he was held to a season-low snap share (36 percent) and touch count. Assuming he's healthier this weekend, he should take on the larger share of offensive plays over Conner on Sunday against the Texans.

  • Mike Boone RB | MIA

Broncos' Mike Boone: Limited role in season debut

Boone caught his only target for three yards while failing to record a single rushing attempt in Sunday's 34-24 loss to the Raiders.

Boone made his season debut Sunday, but he only saw six of the team's 81 offensive snaps. The running back did, however, play on 61 percent of Denver's special teams plays. Boone is buried on the Broncos' depth chart behind both Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams, as the two are splitting time almost evenly. Boone will likely continue to see limited snaps on offense barring an injury to either Gordon or Williams. Nonetheless, he will have a chance to see the field in some capacity again when the Broncos visit the Browns on Thursday night.

  • Zack Moss RB | CIN

Bills' Zack Moss: Garners 10 touches

Moss rushed eight times for 24 yards and caught two of four targets for 15 yards in Monday night's 34-31 loss to the Titans.

Moss matched running mate Devin Singletary's total of 10 touches, but neither tailback was particularly productive, as Singletary finished with 43 scrimmage yards compared to Moss's39. Overall, it was Moss's worst output since he made his season debut against the Dolphins in Week 2, but he at least scored twice on that occasion. Conveniently, Moss will get an opportunity to rebound while facing Miami when Buffalo returns in Week 8 from its bye.

  • Bills' Devin Singletary: Gets 10 touches

Singletary rushed five times for 27 yards and caught all five of his targets for 16 yards in Monday night's 34-31 loss to the Titans.

Singletary ripped off a 14-yard run on Buffalo's opening drive, but he wasn't featured much on the ground afterward, with both quarterback Josh Allen (nine carries) and fellow tailback Zack Moss (eight) rushing more often. Although Singletary actually still led the Bills in rushing yards and pitched in with a handful of catches, his overall production wasn't anything special. After rushing for at least 70 yards in three of his first four games this season, Singletary has now failed to top 30 yards in his latest three of four. That dip in production coincides with just 11 carries over his past two outings, leaving room for improvement as he now enters the Bills' bye week.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Beast in Monday night's win

Henry rushed 20 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns in Monday night's 34-31 win over the Bills. He also caught two of three targets for 13 yards.

Henry exploded 76 yards up the middle for the first touchdown of the game in the second quarter, then powered in a pair of red-zone rushing scores in the second half, including the game-winner with just over three minutes remaining. In doing so, Henry found the end zone three times for the second straight game, and he's now remarkably accomplished that feat three times through six contests this season. With five consecutive outings of at least 110 yards on the ground as well, Henry is off to a monstrous start to the campaign. He'll strive to keep his substantial momentum going in Week 7 versus Kansas City's soft run defense.

  • Jake Funk RB | JAC

Rams' Jake Funk: Shut down for season

Funk has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2021 season due to a torn hamstring that may require surgery, J.B. Long of the Los Angeles Rams Radio Network reports.

Funk has been lost for the season after picking up a hamstring injury in Sunday's matchup against the Giants. He appeared in six contests, rushing once for six yards while accruing 88 yards on kick returns.

  • Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Dealing with ankle injury

McNichols (ankle) is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Bills, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Derrick Henry had both carries for the team on its first possession, and McNichols likely wasn't going to see many touches anyway. He only managed one limited practice during Week 6 prep due to an ankle issue, so he may have aggravated the injury during pregame warmups. Aside from Henry, Tennessee only has fullbacks Khari Blasingame and Tory Carter available out of the backfield.

  • Trayveon Williams: Reverts to practice squad

Williams reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Samaje Perine (COVID-19) was unavailable for Sunday's contest, so Williams was elevated from the practice squad and carried six times for 13 yards behind Joe Mixon. Williams could be promoted again Week 7 if Perine remains sidelined, though Chris Evans would likely continue to work as Cincinnati's top backup at tailback.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

Bills' Matt Breida: Not suiting up Monday

Breida (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's game at Tennessee.

Breida will be a healthy scratch for the fourth straight game heading into Buffalo's Week 7 bye. Taiwan Jones will be the reserve backfield option behind Zack Moss and Devin Singletary.

  • Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Suiting up Monday

McNichols (ankle) is active for Monday's game against the Bills.

McNichols was considered questionable due to the ankle injury but is ready to play on Monday Night Football. The 25-year-old has seven carries for 38 yards and 17 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown this season, and he should have a minor role in the Titans backfield with Derrick Henry healthy.
