Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said he would review film from Monday's 29-19 loss to the Chiefs before determining if Siemian would remain the starting quarterback for Denver's Week 9 matchup with the Eagles, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports. "I'm not sure," Joseph said, regarding who would start at quarterback against Philadephia. "But [after] losing three games in a row and having five turnovers [Monday], anything's possible."

Though Siemian had turned the ball over six times while Denver had dropped three of its last four games entering Monday, Joseph remained steadfast in his commitment to the signal caller, who had previously thrown for six touchdowns in the team's first two contests of the season. However, with the Broncos suffering their third consecutive loss Monday while Siemian sunk to a new low by throwing three interceptions -- including one on an ill-advised, across-the-field throw that was particularly reckless -- it wouldn't be surprising if Joseph decided to go with a different option behind center in Week 9. Brock Osweiler dressed as the backup quarterback against the Chiefs, but given the team's greater long-term investment in Paxton Lynch, who was inactive Monday while having recently recovered from a shoulder injury, it's conceivable that the 2016 first-round pick would be first in line to replace Siemian. Regardless of whether Joseph decides to stick with Siemian as his starter or give Osweiler or Lynch a look, expect the coach to announce his plans when the Broncos reconvene for practice Wednesday.

Siemian completed 19 of 36 passes for 198 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Monday night's 29-19 loss to the Chiefs. He also rushed twice for 20 yards.

Siemian struggled mightily against a ball-hawking Kansas City defense, throwing a season-high three picks while posting a season-low 5.5 yards per attempt. Although the quarterback had a would-be touchdown dropped early in the second half, and Siemian did throw an 11-yard score during the fourth quarter, his efforts proved too little, too late. Following back-to-back poor offensive performances, Siemian and company now must prepare for the NFC-leading Eagles.

Hoyer was released by the 49ers on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Hoyer's release comes in the wake of San Francisco trading for ex-Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo earlier Monday evening. Since New England is now in need of a backup signal caller, it's certainly possible Hoyer could resurface with the team he started his career with back in 2009.

The Patriots traded Garoppolo to the 49ers on Monday in exchange for a 2018 second-round draft pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Garoppolo was thought to be the eventual successor to Tom Brady whenever the future Hall of Famer decided to hang up the cleats. New England's decision to trade him either signals the team's confidence that Brady will stick around for a few more years, the team's lack of confidence that they'd be able to re-sign Garappolo at a reasonable price when the 2014 second-rounder hits free agency at the end of the season, or both. Now in San Francisco, Garoppolo is an instant upgrade over rookie C.J. Beathard, but he may have a breaking-in period before he actually gets to start. We'd expect coach Kyle Shanahan to comment on the matter sooner than later.

Lynch is inactive for Monday's game against the Chiefs, The Denver Post reports.

Starter Trevor Siemian and backup Brock Osweiler will serve as the team's QBs on Monday, but Lynch is nearing a return to availability after being listed as a full practice participant both Friday and Saturday.

Titans coach Mike Mularkey said Mariota (hamstring) is back to 100 percent as the team comes out of its Week 8 bye, Jason Wolf of The Tennessean reports.

Mariota didn't quite look like his usual self in a 12-9 win over the Browns in Week 7, failing to throw for a touchdown while taking just one carry for eight yards. His running ability should once again be a major factor, though he'll jump back in with a tough matchup Sunday against the Ravens. It's unclear if Corey Davis (hamstring) and Delanie Walker (ankle) will be available.

Head coach Dirk Koetter hinted that Winston aggravated his injured right shoulder during Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Panthers, ESPN.com's Jenna Laine reports. "Jameis did take a shot early in the fourth quarter and he was hurting a little bit after that," Koetter said. "I thought he might have to come out, but he stayed in. It was on the first play of a drive and he stayed in and we kept doing and the game flow went. I haven't talked to him since about that."

Winston was unable to finish out a Week 6 loss to the Cardinals after spraining the AC joint in his throwing shoulder, but he bounced back Week 7 to throw for 384 yards and three scores in a 30-27 loss to the Bills. Coming off his worst performance of the season Sunday against Carolina, the third-year quarterback presumably will show up on the injury report as the Bucs prepare for Sunday's game in New Orleans.

Cousins completed 26 of 39 pass attempts for 263 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-19 loss to the Cowboys. He also threw an interception and lost a fumble.

Rain was a huge factor in this game, as the two teams combined for five fumbles. Despite many short-range attempts, Cousins finally got some production out of his wide receivers in this one. Fourteen of his completions went to Jamison Crowder and Ryan Grant for 161 yards, including two completions of over 25 yards. It will be much tougher to repeat that performance in Week 9, as the Redskins travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks.

Stafford completed 27 of 45 passes for 423 yards during Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Steelers. He added 11 rushing yards on his lone carry.

Stafford's day went smoother than expected thanks to an impressive performance from his injury-depleted offensive line that was going against one of the best defenses in the league. However, he was seemingly reliant on big plays the entire evening and failed to find paydirt despite having numerous chances in the red zone. While this was only his first zero-touchdown performance of the season, Stafford was blanked on six occasions last season (including playoffs), which shows the downside of captaining the Lions' one-dimensional offense.

Prescott completed 14 of 22 pass attempts for 143 yards and no touchdowns in Sunday's 33-19 win over the Redskins. He also rushed three times for 16 yards.

Fantasy owners need not fear, as the Cowboys opted to let Ezekiel Elliott handle the bulk of the work due to the heavy rain falling during most of the contest. The Dallas defense also recovered two fumbles and blocked a field-goal try that gave the offense several gifts with a short field. With the weather making it hard to sustain longer drives, they settled for five field-goal attempts. Prescott will be back to his usual self in Week 9 when Dallas returns home to face Kansas City.
