Jayden Daniels QB | WAS
Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Return to practice on deck
Daniels (elbow) will resume practicing Week 13 but he's not expected to return to the starting lineup in time for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Even if Daniels remains unlikely to retake the field Week 13, it will be encouraging to see him back at practice as at least a limited participant. The second-year quarterback suffered a dislocation to his non-throwing elbow Week 9 versus Seattle and has not played since, with it being reported that Washington would re-evaluate his health after the team's Week 12 bye. As such, the extent of Daniels' activity at practice this week may play a significant role in determining his availability, or lack thereof, for the rest of the season. At 3-8 the Commanders have effectively been removed from playoff contention, which could lead the team to simply continue rolling with Marcus Mariota under center rather than risk any further injury to Daniels.

C.J. Stroud QB | HOU
Texans' C.J. Stroud: Remains in concussion protocol
Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that Stroud remains in the league's concussion protocol, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Stroud was concussed 22 days ago against the Broncos, so he's been dealing with symptoms for three-plus weeks, an unusually lengthy amount of time, though concussions aren't the same for every player. Ryans said Stroud will start once he clears the five-stage protocol, but it appears as if Davis Mills could get yet another start under center for Houston next Sunday in a very important game on the road against the Colts. Mills is 3-0 in three starts since stepping in for Stroud and has averaged 206.3 passing yards per game with five touchdowns and one interception in that span.

Max Brosmer QB | MIN
Vikings' Max Brosmer: May draw Week 13 start
Brosmer will take first-team reps at practice to open Week 13 with J.J. McCarthy having been placed in the concussion protocol, Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Brosmer will be in position to start on the road against Seattle on Sunday if McCarthy is not able to fully clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in time to play Week 13. In that scenario, John Wolford would stand to be elevated from the practice squad to operate as Brosmer's backup. The undrafted rookie out of Minnesota has logged four regular-season appearances so far, in which span he's completed five of eight pass attempts for 42 yards.

J.J. McCarthy QB | MIN
Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: In concussion protocol
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that McCarthy has been placed in the concussion protocol due to symptoms that manifested after Sunday's loss to the Packers, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
McCarthy's status for Week 13 must now be considered uncertain, as he won't be eligible to retake the field until he's gained full clearance from the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, including from an independent neurologist. O'Connell confirmed that undrafted rookie Max Brosmer will take first-team reps to begin Week 13 preparations, per Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune, and start versus the Seahawks on Sunday if McCarthy is unavailable.

Shedeur Sanders QB | CLE
Browns' Shedeur Sanders: Officially named Week 13 starter
Coach Kevin Stefanski named Sanders as the Browns' starting quarterback for next Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Even though Dillon Gabriel cleared concussion protocol Monday, Sanders will get the nod against San Francisco after he helped guide the Browns to a 24-10 win over the Raiders on Sunday. Sanders completed 11 of 20 passes (55 percent) for 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception against Las Vegas, showing some deep-ball touch on a 52-yard shot to Isaiah Bond down to the two-yard line in the process. Sanders' matchup against the Niners will be favorable on paper, as San Francisco is dealing with a boat load of injuries on the defensive side of the ball, but it's fair to question if Sanders has enough of a floor-ceiling combo to warrant consideration for fantasy lineups.

Dillon Gabriel QB | CLE
Browns' Dillon Gabriel: Clears concussion protocol
Gabriel cleared the concussion protocol Monday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
However, Gabriel is expected to lose his starting job to Shedeur Sanders, who is likely to be named the Browns' QB1 for next Sunday's Week 13 game versus San Francisco, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Gabriel showed very little in his time under center, refusing to challenge defenses deep or away from the line of scrimmage, resulting in a 5.1 yards per pass attempt. Across eight games this season, including six starts, Gabriel has completed just 59.2 percent of his 184 pass attempts for 937 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions. He's averaged just 117.1 passing yards per game. The Browns will now take a longer look at Sanders to see if either one of the rookies is a viable long-term solution headed into 2026.

Shedeur Sanders QB | CLE
Browns' Shedeur Sanders: Likely to be named Week 13 starter
Sanders will be named the Browns' starting quarterback for Week 13 against the 49ers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Even with Dillon Gabriel clearing the concussion protocol, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, coach Kevin Stefanski is expected to name Sanders as the Browns' starter against San Francisco. Sanders made his first career start in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Raiders, completing just 11 of 20 passes (55 percent) for 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception. His 52-yard deep shot to Isaiah Bond was easily Sanders' most impressive throw of the day, as Dylan Sampson did all the work after the catch on a 66-yard touchdown that came on a dump-off at the line of scrimmage. Sanders will have a chance to build on his performance against a depleted and injury-riddled 49ers defense next Sunday. Sanders carries extremely minimal fantasy value.

Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Coach anticipates Week 13 return
Coach Zac Taylor said Monday that he anticipates Burrow (toe) will play Thursday night against the Ravens, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.
Taylor admitted the Bengals will work through the week, and he's not willing to declare anything concrete as of Monday, but it does sound like Burrow has a legitimate chance to be under center versus Baltimore on Thanksgiving night. Burrow's 21-day window for activation from injured reserve was opened 14 days ago. If he does play Thursday night, it will be Burrow's first action since he was injured 21 snaps into Week 2 against Jacksonville. His return would obviously provide a big boost to the Cincinnati offense as a whole for the final six weeks of the season.

Dillon Gabriel QB | CLE
Browns' Dillon Gabriel: Coach won't yet name QB for Week 13
Following Sunday's win over the Raiders, coach Kevin Stefanski was noncommittal on a starting quarterback for next Sunday's Week 13 game against the 49ers, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
With Dillon Gabriel sidelined against Las Vegas due to a concussion suffered the previous week, Shedeur Sanders got the starting nod under center and was okay, completing just 11 of 20 passes (55 percent) for 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the 24-10 victory. His highlight throw was a 52-yard deep shot to Isaiah Bond down to the two-yard line. Sanders' touchdown was a dump-off to Dylan Sampson, which Sampson then took 66 yards to the end zone. Sanders' completion percentage left a lot to be desired, but there's no denying helping steer the ship to a win was meaningful for the rookie. However, Stefanski has said previously that Gabriel will remain the starter when healthy. Expect Stefanski to divulge more information on the topic later in the week.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: May have AC joint sprain
The Buccaneers believe Mayfield (shoulder) to have suffered a sprained AC joint during Sunday night's loss to the Rams, though the results of the quarterback's MRI on Monday will confirm the nature of his injury, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Mayfield injured his left shoulder during Sunday's loss to Los Angeles and was deemed doubtful to return at halftime, then quickly ruled out. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Tampa Bay has not yet ruled Mayfield out to play Week 13 against the Cardinals, but the team will certainly reevaluate all options upon reviewing the results of his MRI. Teddy Bridgewater will lead the Buccaneers' offense if Mayfield misses any time.
