  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Sent to injured reserve

The Colts placed Richardson (orbital) on injured reserve Monday.

Richardson will miss at least the next four games with his orbital fracture, putting him first available to return to the lineup in Week 12 against the Chiefs. The Colts have sixth-round rookie Riley Leonard as an option to serve as Daniel Jones' backup in the meantime, but Indianapolis could also look outside the organization for a veteran QB2.

  • J.J. McCarthy QB | MIN

Vikings' J.J. McCarthy: Will practice this week

Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that McCarthy (ankle) will practice in some capacity ahead of the team's Week 7 matchup against Philadelphia on Sunday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

McCarthy reportedly took notable step forward in his recovery during Minnesota's bye in Week 6, but it remains to be seen whether the second-year pro will be healthy enough that his mobility isn't impeded for Week 7, which is a benchmark O'Connell has mentioned he will need to pass before being cleared for a return to the lineup. Previously, O'Connell had indicated that the Vikings want McCarthy to log a full week of practice before he returns to action. Per Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune, O'Connell declined to name a starter for Week 7 on Monday but confirmed that veteran Carson Wentz is still recovering from the injury to his non-throwing shoulder he suffered Week 5.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Expected to miss multiple weeks

Richardson (eye) is expected to mis multiple weeks after sustaining an orbital fracture ahead of Sunday's win over the Cardinals, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.

Richardson was hospitalized after being hit in the eye by a piece of workout equipment in pregame warmups Sunday. He's dealing with significant swelling around the eye, impairing his vision, though there isn't believed to be any damage to his actual eye. With Richardson out for the immediate future, the Colts could look outside the organization for a veteran backup behind Daniel Jones. Sixth-round rookie Riley Leonard is another option for QB2 duties.

  • Justin Fields QB | NYJ

Jets' Justin Fields: Will remain starting quarterback

Fields will remain the Jets' starting quarterback for Sunday's Week 7 game against the Panthers, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Coach Aaron Glenn admitted Monday that Fields, who completed just nine of 17 pass attempts for 45 yards while absorbing nine sacks, "took a step back" in Sunday's 13-11 loss to the Broncos in London, but the current plan is to stick with the 26-year-old under center. Behind Fields on the depth chart are 36-year-old Tyrod Taylor, who is a known commodity as a reliable veteran backup at this stage of his career, and undrafted rookie Brady Cook on the practice squad. Taylor isn't a long-term answer, and Cook likely isn't ready for regular-season NFL action. Things could change if Fields doesn't rebound and show signs of improvement.

  • Browns' Shedeur Sanders: Never considered in Week 6 loss

Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski never considered replacing starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel with Sanders during Sunday's 23-9 loss to the Steelers in Week 6, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

The Browns were unable to create much offensively, but that did not fall solely on Gabriel, who was sacked six times and absorbed another 16 hits. Injuries along the offensive line also limited the rushing attack, and Cleveland's pass-catchers dropped multiple passes. It's unlikely Sanders could have changed the trajectory of the game, but Stefanski could only list the things to fix on a broken offense (13.67 ppg) with no easy solution. The organization will still likely need to see what it has in Sanders before entering the offseason, but Gabriel appears set for a long look in the starting role before that happens.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Replaces Rush in loss

Huntley completed 10 of 15 passes for 68 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams. He added three rushes for 39 yards.

Huntley took over for the benched Cooper Rush early in the fourth quarter and led a pair of lengthy drives, each of which stalled deep in Rams territory. While he was far from efficient, Huntley took care of the ball and also showcased some mobility, both of which could give him an advantage to serve as Lamar Jackson's (hamstring) backup in Week 8.

  • Cooper Rush QB | BAL

Ravens' Cooper Rush: Benched in loss to Rams

Rush completed 11 of 19 passes for 72 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams. He also had one rush for zero yards while losing a fumble.

Rush drew his second straight start in the absence of Lamar Jackson (hamstring). He ran a decent first possession that resulted in a field goal, completing both of his passes for 12 yards while also scrambling for seven. However, he was intercepted on Baltimore's following drive and the team had several additional miscues before Rush was finally pulled after losing a fumble deep in Rams territory late in the third quarter. Jackson is expected back in Week 8 following Baltimore's bye, and Rush could be in danger of being demoted to the third-string quarterback.

  • Joe Flacco QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Flacco: Two touchdowns in Cincy debut

Flacco completed 29 of 45 passes for 219 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 27-18 loss to the Packers.

Flacco had a quick turnaround after being traded to Cincinnati on Tuesday. Given that and a tough road matchup, he performed relatively well. He led three scoring drives in the second half, highlighted by a two-yard touchdown pass to Tanner Hudson and a 19-yard scoring toss to Ja'Marr Chase. This marked Flacco's first multi-touchdown performance across five starts in 2025, and he should be able to put up respectable numbers with the help of Chase and Tee Higgins.

  • Dillon Gabriel QB | CLE

Browns' Dillon Gabriel: Can't get going in Pittsburgh

Gabriel completed 29 of 52 passes for 221 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 23-9 loss to the Steelers.

Gabriel was constantly under pressure, taking six sacks while averaging only 4.25 yards per attempt. Positively, he did continue to show a connection with fellow rookie tight end Harold Fannin, as the duo connected for a 25-yard gain -- the longest of the day for both Gabriel and the team. Gabriel should have the chance to put together a better performance in Week 7 when the Browns host the Dolphins.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Falls short at Arrowhead

Goff completed 23 of 29 passes for 203 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Chiefs. He added one rush for seven yards.

Goff had an interesting start to the game, as he had a touchdown catch nullified by a penalty on Detroit's opening possession. He was out-dueled by Patrick Mahomes from there, but he still turned in a decent performance, highlighted by three completions at least 20 yards -- including a 22-yard touchdown connection with Jameson Williams. Goff now has multiple scores in each of his last three games.
