Young went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and two stolen bases in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.

Young has logged three steals over his last three games. He continues to fill a part-time role in the Nationals' outfield, though he has gone 6-for-20 (.300) at the plate over his seven games in July. Overall, he's batting .225 with a .654 OPS, eight home runs, 11 steals, 32 RBI and 36 runs scored over 298 plate appearances.

Vasquez was credited with a hold while striking out two and allowing three hits and no walks over three scoreless innings of relief in Sunday's 19-2 win over the Royals.

After the Padres reinstated Vasquez from the 15-day injured list prior to Sunday's contest, the right-hander headed to the bullpen for the series finale in Kansas City in what marked just his second relief appearance in 18 outings on the season. The Padres essentially deployed Vasquez in tandem with starter German Marquez, who was lifted after tossing 59 pitches and allowing two earned runs over three innings. Beyond Michael King, the Padres have been unable to generate quality results from any of their rotation members this season, so it wouldn't be surprising if Vasquez's move to the bullpen ends up being short-lived. Even if he doesn't displace Marquez in the rotation the next time a fifth starter is needed Friday in Miami, Vasquez could still end up being used in a tandem arrangement with Marquez once again.

Nunez went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.

Nunez is up to 37 steals on the season, including three during the three-game set in Sacramento. The infielder is getting the bulk of the playing time at second base for the Nationals and continues to make an impact with his speed. The batting has been just passable -- he's hitting .246 with a .623 OPS, one home run, 28 RBI, 42 runs scored, four doubles and three triples over 92 contests this season.

Crews went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second run scored in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.

Crews had gone just 1-for-19 over his previous five games, and he'd gone eight contests without a homer. The outfielder went back-to-back with CJ Abrams in the fifth inning as the Nationals built up their lead. Crews is hitting .210 with a .634 OPS, seven homers, 20 RBI, 29 runs scored, six doubles and six stolen bases over 50 contests this season. He continues to see fairly steady playing time around Washington's outfield.

Abrams went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and a walk in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.

Abrams is up to a career-high 21 homers on the season, including four over his last 13 games. He has gone 15-for-52 (.288) with 11 RBI and two stolen bases in that span. Overall, the shortstop is batting .277 with an .869 OPS, 70 RBI, 58 runs scored, 19 doubles, two triples and 15 steals over 96 contests.

Paredes struck out four and allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk across two innings of relief in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Cubs.

Paredes had started in each of his final five appearances of the first half, but the Twins elected to shift him to the bullpen coming out of the All-Star break. Minnesota still has an opening in its rotation while Connor Prielipp (finger) remains on the injured list, but the team looks as though it will go in a different direction when the fifth spot comes up again Tuesday in Cleveland. Paredes went 0-2 and turned in a 4.50 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 11:7 K:BB in 22 innings over his five starts.

Prielipp (finger) struck out three and allowed no hits and one walk over three scoreless innings Sunday in a rehab start with Triple-A St. Paul.

Prielipp was lifted after tossing 32 pitches (20 strikes) in the rehab appearance, his first since he landed on the shelf July 9 due to a blister on his left middle finger. The southpaw will be eligible for activation July 26, but it's possible that the Twins will have him build up his pitch count over one more start in the minors before breaking him back into the big-league rotation.

Hall (pectoral) struck out a batter and allowed one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning Sunday in a rehab start with High-A Wisconsin.

After making it through a 20-pitch live batting practice session Thursday without incident, Hall was cleared to kick off a rehab assignment. The southpaw has been on the shelf since June 5 due to a pectoral strain, so he may require another tune-up outing or two in the minors before settling back into the Milwaukee bullpen.

Carroll suffered a hyperextended right elbow during Sunday's 8-7 extra-inning win over the Cardinals, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.

Carroll sustained the injury in the seventh inning when he struck out swinging in what would be his final at-bat of the contest. The outfielder is considered to be day-to-day according to manager Torey Lovullo, and Carroll will not require any additional imaging. He has a chance to play Monday against the Athletics. Fantasy managers everywhere can perhaps all breathe a collective sigh of relief.

Williams (elbow) struck out three and allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks across 3.1 innings in a rehab start Sunday with High-A Wilmington.

Williams has now made five rehab starts across stops at five different affiliates, compiling a 4.09 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB in 11 innings. The 3.1 innings and 60 pitches Williams handled Sunday marked the highest totals of his rehab assignment, as the Nationals are seemingly having him build up slowly in his return from internal brace surgery. Given the unremarkable results he's submitted thus far during his time in the minors in addition to rehabbing starter Jake Irvin (shoulder) also closing in on a return from the 60-day injured list, Williams may not be in line for a spot in the Washington rotation once he's activated.
