Espino recorded two strikeouts over one perfect inning against the Brewers on Wednesday.

Espino came in to relieve Gavin Williams in the sixth inning and struck out Garrett Mitchell and Cooper Pratt before inducing a flyout for a clean MLB debut. The 2019 first-round pick, who was once one of the top prospects in baseball before injuries took a toll, had a 5.30 ERA and a 29:15 K:BB in 22 appearances (18.2 innings) for Triple-A Columbus this year prior to being promoted last week.

Schneemann went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's loss to the Brewers.

The Guardians' only runs of the game came off Schneemann's blast to right field off Brandon Sproat in the fourth inning for his second homer in the past three contests. Schneemann started the game at third base, filling in for the injured Jose Ramirez (hand). The 29-year-old Schneemann figures to see plenty of action at the hot corner going forward with Ramirez out but will likely continue to be utilized across the diamond.

Rodriguez was removed from Wednesday's game against the Orioles with an apparent injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a run scored and two strikeouts before leaving the game in the seventh inning. The details of his injury remain unknown, but the Mariners should provide some clarity in the near future.

Varland secured the save Wednesday against the Red Sox, striking out the side.

Varland made quick work of the scuffling Boston bats Wednesday, throwing all but one of his 10 pitches for strikes. After taking over closing duties from Jeff Hoffman earlier this year, Varland is running away with the job as 2026 has progressed. Through 40 innings, the 28-year-old right-hander boasts a 0.90 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 55:11 K:BB while going 14-for-14 in save situations.

Pratt went 2-for-4 with an RBI, run scored and stolen base in the 9-4 win over the Guardians on Wednesday.

Pratt achieved his first ever hit in the second inning against Gavin Williams with a single to right in his first at-bat of the game. The rookie then lined a ball to right to drive a run home in the eighth to bring the score to 9-4. The 21-year-old has started at shortstop and batted eighth in the batting order his first two game with the ball club.

Woods Richardson (1-7) notched the win Wednesday against the Red Sox, allowing no runs on three hits and three walks in three innings. He struck out one.

Woods Richardson landed only 28 of his 55 offerings for strikes, but he still managed to keep Boston off the board en route to getting into the win column for the first time this year. After being jettisoned by the Twins earlier this season, the 25-year-old right-hander is up to seven scoreless frames covering two outings in bulk relief with the Blue Jays. Even so, Woods Richardson has a 6.75 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 30:28 K:BB over 54.2 innings on the campaign and could be relegated to mop-up duties more frequently once Shane Bieber (elbow) is ready to make his season debut.

Chourio went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 9-4 win over the Guardians.

Chourio extended the Brewers lead to 7-4 in the fourth inning with a homer off of Gavin Williams just over the right-field fence. Fresh off of winning NL Co-Player of the Week with teammate Jacob Misiorowski, Chourio hit his eighth blast of June on Wednesday and has a slash line of .385/.431/.815 with 20 RBI and 17 runs through 15 games this month.

Manager Pat Murphy said after Wednesday's win over Cleveland that Sproat's hamstring cramps are minor and won't impact his next scheduled start, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Sproat's hamstring began to give him trouble during the fourth inning of Wednesday's contest, forcing him out of the game after he'd given up four earned runs in 3.2 innings. He won't have to worry about missing any additional starts, however, which puts him on track to take the mound next week on the road against the Reds.

Swanson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Rockies. He also stole a base.

Swanson has been in a miserable funk at the plate, but he showed some signs of life with his eighth home run of the season Wednesday. It was the shortstop's first long ball since May 18, a span of 24 games. In the time between homers, Swanson batted just .135 with a .414 OPS and a lone RBI. It will take a few more good games for fantasy managers to begin to trust that the veteran is out of his slump.

Bennett (1-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing two runs on three hits and no walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

Bennett fared well Wednesday, keeping the ball in the yard while firing 55 of his 79 pitches for strikes. The 25-year-old left-hander also gave up a season-low three knocks, fanned a season-high five and even issued no free passes for the first time in four starts this year. Bennett has a 4.79 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB over 20.2 innings and should maintain a rotation spot while Garrett Crochet (shoulder/lat) is sidelined, but a difficult assignment in Colorado awaits Bennett in his next scheduled outing.
