  • White Sox's Colson Montgomery: Included in Tuesday's lineup

Montgomery (shin) will start at shortstop and bat cleanup in Tuesday's game against the Rangers.

Montgomery had to be lifted from Monday's series opener after fouling a ball off his right shin. However, he escaped with merely a contusion and is feeling well enough to give it a go Tuesday.

  • Rays' Hunter Feduccia: Sitting against righty

Feduccia is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto.

It's the second straight day that the left-handed-hitting Feduccia is not starting against a righty hurler (in this case, Kevin Gausman). Nick Fortes will get another start after going 2-for-4 with a homer in Monday's series opener.

  • Rays' Victor Mesa: Absent from lineup

Mesa is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto.

Mesa had homered in three straight contests -- including in Monday's series opener -- but he'll grab a seat Tuesday. Jonny DeLuca will handle right field for the Rays.

  • Jake Bauers 1B | MIL

Brewers' Jake Bauers: Exiting starting lineup

Bauers is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

The left-handed-hitting Bauers often plays against lefty hurlers, but he will begin Tuesday's game on the bench as the Mets send rookie southpaw Zac Thornton to the bump. Luis Lara will patrol right field for the Brewers, and Andrew Vaughn will play first base.

  • Brewers' Christian Yelich: Taking seat Tuesday

Yelich is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

The Mets are starting a left-hander in Zac Thornton, offering the Brewers a chance to get the lefty-swinging Yelich off his feet for a day. William Contreras will be used in the designated hitter spot, and Gary Sanchez will do the catching.

  • Yainer Diaz C | HOU

Astros' Yainer Diaz: Taking seat Tuesday

Diaz is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Marlins.

Diaz started at catcher the last three games but will begin Tuesday's festivities on the bench. Christian Vazquez will take over behind the plate for Houston.

  • Cam Smith RF | HOU

Astros' Cam Smith: Out of lineup again Tuesday

Smith is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Marlins.

Smith will head to the bench for a second straight game. The 23-year-old -- who is currently in a 1-for-28 slide at the plate -- will again yield right field to Taylor Trammell.

  • Astros' Christian Walker: Returning to Houston lineup

Walker (hip) will start at first base and bat sixth in Tuesday's game versus the Marlins.

Walker missed the last two starts with a right hip injury, but he was used in a pinch-hitting capacity Monday and is back in the lineup Tuesday. The 35-year-old is slashing just .171/.292/.317 so far in July.

  • Dominic Smith DH | ATL

Braves' Dominic Smith: Not in Tuesday's lineup

Smith is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

The veteran unsurprisingly remained on the bench Monday with lefty JP Sears taking the mound for San Diego, but Smith's absence Tuesday is coming against righty Walker Buehler. Mike Yastrzemski (elbow) is serving as the designated hitter in his return from the injured list.

  • Giants' Daniel Susac: Out of San Francisco lineup

Susac is not in the lineup for Tuesday's tilt in Kansas City.

The Giants have eased Susac back into things following his return from the injured list last week, as this is the third time he's been on the bench in five games. It will be Jesus Rodriguez's turn behind the plate Tuesday.
