Luis Arraez 2B | SF
Giants' Luis Arraez: X-ray on foot comes back clean
Giants manager Tony Vitello said after Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Athletics that X-rays on Arraez's right foot came back clean, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Arraez appears to have avoided a fracture after fouling a ball off his foot in his first at-bat of the night before exiting in the fifth inning, but Vitello acknowledged that the 29-year-old infielder is "a little sore." The Giants will re-examine Arraez when he reports to the ballpark Wednesday, but if he's still dealing with swelling on the foot, he'll likely be held out of the starting nine for at least one game.

Trammell extended Houston's lead to 4-0 in the fourth inning with his 421-foot blast off Shane Bieber, his first homer this season. Trammell had gone just 2-for-14 in his previous 10 games entering Tuesday and had been relegated to a bench role since Joey Loperfido was recalled from Triple-A in early June. Chris Murphy RP | CHW
White Sox's Chris Murphy: Working as opener Wednesday
Murphy will serve as Chicago's opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Right-hander Erick Fedde is on turn in the rotation and is expected to cover the bulk of the innings for the White Sox out of the bullpen once Murphy exits the contest, likely after covering the first frame or two. The White Sox are banking on the left-handed Murphy neutralizing the top half of the Cleveland lineup, which typically features two left-handed hitters in Travis Bazzana and Kyle Manzardo.

Mitch Keller SP | PIT
Pirates' Mitch Keller: Hurt by long ball Tuesday
Keller (5-5) took the loss Tuesday as the Pirates were downed 3-2 by the Mariners, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over six-plus innings. He struck out four.
The veteran right-hander did come away with his eighth quality start of the season, but home runs by Cal Raleigh in the fourth inning and Cole Young in the seventh cost Keller his first win since May 24. It marks the first time in 2026 that he's been taken deep multiple times, but over his last five starts, Keller's served up five homers in 24 innings while going 0-3 with an 8.25 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 23:13 K:BB. He'll try to get back on track in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Reds.

Mariners' Cole Young: Blasts go-ahead homer
Young went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.
The seventh-inning homer, Young's seventh of the year, proved to be the decisive blow in Seattle's one-run victory. After a hot start to the month, Young had cooled off at the plate coming into Tuesday's matchup -- he'd gone just 3-for-20 in his previous six games. Overall, the second baseman is slashing .253/.319/.372 with 34 runs scored, 37 RBI and two stolen bases across 321 plate appearances this season.

Erick Fedde SP | CHW
White Sox's Erick Fedde: Working behind opener Wednesday
Fedde is slated to pitch in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Chris Murphy in Wednesday's game against the Guardians, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Fedde remains part of the rotation, but the White Sox have taken a liking to deploying him behind an opener in recent weeks. He'll work out of the bullpen for the sixth time in his last seven appearances, likely entering the contest in the second or third inning once Murphy departs.

Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Prior to Tuesday, Raleigh had gone just 3-for-18 with no extra-base hits in six games since returning from a month-long stint on the IL. It's been a disappointing season overall for Raleigh after his breakout 2025 campaign -- he's now slashing .164/.258/.317 with 21 RBI and 18 runs scored over 209 plate appearances.
