Yelich is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Philadelphia.

Yelich cranked his 12th home run of the season in Wednesday's win over the Phillies, but he'll take a seat during Thursday's series finale. William Contreras is slotting in at designated hitter for the Brewers, while Gary Sanchez will do the catching.

Chourio is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest in Philadelphia.

It's the first day off this month for Chourio, who is slashing .295/.344/.477 with four home runs thus far in September. Sal Frelick is getting a start in left field while Chourio rests.

Luzardo (shoulder) threw a successful 30-pitch bullpen session Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Luzardo is barely over a week removed from being placed on the 15-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation, but he's bounced back quickly from the injury. The left-hander could face hitters this weekend and remains in play to be included on the Phillies' National League Wild Card Series roster, either as a starter or reliever. Luzardo went 14-5 with a 2.87 ERA and 221:52 K:BB over 178.2 innings covering 29 regular-season starts in 2026.

The Giants transferred Tidwell (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Tidwell is likely to require Tommy John surgery after suffering a high-grade UCL sprain during his last outing Monday, so the Giants will stash him away on the 60-day IL for the rest of the season. His 40-man roster spot will go to Camilo Doval, who was claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh on Thursday.

The Rays selected Woodford's contract from Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Woodford will provide some bullpen protection after the Rays' relief corps was needed for 4.1 innings in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees. He's collected a 7.18 ERA and 1.78 WHIP with 23 strikeouts across 26.1 innings in the big leagues this season between stops with the Brewers and Cubs.

The Rays optioned Englert to Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Englert was knocked around for eight runs over 3.2 innings in a spot start Wednesday against the Yankees. He's being scrubbed from the active roster in order to make space for Jake Woodford, who will provide the Rays with a fresh bullpen arm.

Rafaela (hamstring) will start in center field and bat sixth Thursday against the Guardians, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Rafaela made an early exit from Wednesday's contest due to right hamstring tightness. He underwent imaging Thursday that came back negative for a significant injury, and he's seemingly feeling well enough to return to the lineup without missing a start. The 26-year-old went 1-for-1 before leaving Wednesday's game and is batting .277 since the beginning of August.

Anthony is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Guardians.

It's Anthony's first day off since he returned from the 60-day injured list in late August. The 22-year-old is slashing .242/.294/.432 with four home runs across 22 contests since being activated. Jarren Duran will be in left field for the Red Sox on Thursday, and Mickey Gasper will serve as Boston's designated hitter.

Contreras (hand) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Guardians.

It marks the sixth straight absence for Contreras, who is working his way back from a bruised right hand. The Red Sox are considering the slugger day-to-day. Nick Sogard will slot in at first base in Contreras' stead on Thursday.

The White Sox placed Castillo on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a right shoulder impingement.

Castillo posted a 7.52 ERA in six starts and then a 13.50 ERA in three relief outings after being demoted to the Chicago bullpen. The veteran right-hander will be eligible for activation during the ALDS, but considering how he's pitched, there's a good chance Castillo's season is over even if he's healthy.
