Murakami went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Cubs.

Murakami has three homers over his last five games, going 4-for-18 with a 6:8 BB:K in that span. His long ball Tuesday was his 29th of the season. The rookie infielder is also batting .234 with a .917 OPS, 58 RBI, 67 runs scored, 13 doubles and a stolen base over 90 contests. His power has been as advertised in his first big-league season.

Foscue went 1-for-1 with a home run, a walk and two RBI in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Nationals.

Foscue took Jackson Kent deep for a 400-foot solo homer in the second inning, giving him eight long balls on the season. He added another RBI in his next plate appearance, drawing a bases-loaded walk. The 27-year-old was replaced by Joc Pederson with a right-handed reliever on the mound in the fifth inning. Foscue was excellent before the All-Star break, slashing .286/.356/.908 across 46 games, but his production has fallen off considerably since then. He's hit just .191 with two extra-base hits, including Tuesday's homer, across 24 second-half contests.

Fedde allowed three hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Tuesday.

Fedde worked in bulk relief behind opener Bryan Hudson, who allowed two runs in the first inning. This was an encouraging performance for Fedde, though he threw just 45 of 78 pitches for strikes. The veteran right-hander has a 4.33 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 82:42 K:BB through 114.1 innings over 27 games (12 starts) this season. Fedde's role moving forward isn't entirely clear, but he should get at least one more turn through the rotation, either as a starter or bulk reliever at home against the Mets over the weekend.

Busch went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the White Sox.

Busch ended a 12-game power drought with the first-inning long ball. He's still gone seven contests without a multi-hit effort. On the year, the first baseman is batting .244 with a .740 OPS, 15 homers, 64 RBI, 53 runs scored, 20 doubles, two triples and two stolen bases over 125 games.

Crow-Armstrong went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the White Sox.

Crow-Armstrong walked off the South Siders with a homer Monday, and he led off the bottom of the first with another long ball to open the scoring Tuesday. The star outfielder is up to 31 homers this season, including seven over 17 contests in August. He's hitting .282 with a .936 OPS, 79 RBI, 90 runs scored, 25 doubles, seven triples and 31 stolen bases over 126 contests as he is well on his way to a career year in most areas.

Kent (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Rangers, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three over 3.2 innings.

Kent struggled to settle in Tuesday, allowing a run in the first inning before Justin Foscue took him deep for a solo homer in the second. Things unraveled in the third, when Kent surrendered three more runs, including one on a bases-loaded walk. The 23-year-old left-hander has now allowed eight runs with a 9:8 K:BB across 7.2 innings through his first two major-league starts after posting a 4.38 ERA and 1.25 WHIP across 63.2 innings in 13 starts at Triple-A Rochester. He's lined up to face the Marlins on the road Sunday in his next start.

Estevez (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment this week, MLB.com reports.

Estevez has been progressing in his recovery from a right rotator cuff strain, throwing bullpen sessions that have him on the verge of embarking on a rehab assignment. Given the right-hander's lengthy layoff, the Royals are likely to give him extended time to find his footing in the minor leagues before returning him to the big-league roster. The 33-year-old has been out since April 1, initially due to a left foot contusion before he suffered the shoulder injury in a rehab outing May 6.

McArthur (elbow) began a throwing progression during the second half of the season and is on a bullpen schedule, per MLB.com.

McArthur missed the entire 2025 season while recovering from surgery to repair a fractured right elbow before suffering a setback during spring training. The right-hander ultimately underwent another procedure in late May due to recurring soreness and inflammation in the same elbow. It's a positive sign that McArthur has progressed to a throwing program, though he is running out of time to return to big-league action in 2026.

McCarthy went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Dodgers.

McCarthy had gone seven games without a multi-hit effort, batting just 3-for-26 (.115) in that span. The outfielder is up to 22 steals in 27 attempts this season, and he needs just five more thefts to set a career high. He's batting .295 with an .826 OPS, 13 home runs, 68 RBI, 61 runs scored, 26 doubles and seven triples over 111 contests. McCarthy's done well out of the leadoff spot for the bulk of the year, so he should have a chance to set some more personal bests before all is said and done.

Castro went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks, two total RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Dodgers.

Castro had gone 10 games without a homer prior to this contest, though nine of those contests were on the road. The utility man is batting .298 (17-for-57) over 15 games in August. For the season, he's hitting .265 with a .762 OPS, 14 homers, 52 RBI, 60 runs scored, 18 doubles, one triple and nine stolen bases over 108 games.
