The Pirates recalled Barco from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

Barco will be up with the Pirates for the fourth time this season and owns a 7.36 ERA and 2.11 WHIP in 14.2 innings over six appearances with the big club. The left-hander most recently tossed a six-inning shutout for Indianapolis last weekend and could be called upon to cover multiple innings of relief during Sunday's game against the Red Sox. Lake Bachar will be making a spot start Sunday, but he's expected to be in line for a restricted workload after making his first four appearances with Pittsburgh as a reliever.

McAdoo will start at first base and bat second in Sunday's game against the Yankees.

McAdoo will remain in the lineup for the sixth time in seven games, covering first base for the second day in a row after splitting time between third base and left field in his prior four starts. With the Blue Jays placing Vladimir Guerrero (concussion) on the 7-day injured list Saturday, McAdoo could have an extended runway at first base, though Kazuma Okamoto could also move across the diamond to help fill in. Since being recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, McAdoo has gone 5-for-16 with a home run, a double, three walks and four RBI.

The Rangers could bring Leiter (ankle) back from the 60-day injured list during the upcoming week if Jacob deGrom (triceps) is unavailable to make his next scheduled start Wednesday versus the Nationals, Theo DeRosa of MLB.com reports.

Imaging on deGrom's injured right triceps confirmed revealed nothing concerning, but the right-hander's availability for his next turn through the rotation is still in doubt. Leiter -- who has been on the shelf June 21 while recovering from surgery to remove a loose body from his right ankle -- was able to make his first rehab start this past Thursday for Triple-A Round Rock, during which he covered 2.2 scoreless innings and 48 pitches. The Rangers had initially placed for Leiter to make at least one more rehab start and build up his pitch count before coming back from the IL, but the banged-up state of the big-league rotation -- both deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) are recovering from injuries -- could accelerate Leiter's timeline to return.

Toronto reinstated Little from the paternity list Sunday.

Little missed the maximum of three days while welcoming the birth of his new child. The 29-year-old will provide a fresh arm to an exhausted Blue Jays staff that utilized seven different pitchers during Saturday's bullpen game. The left-hander will replace Ricky Tiedemann on the active roster.

Dubon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Dubon will get a breather after making five straight starts, three in left field and two at shortstop. Mike Yastrzemski will get the nod Sunday in left, while Jim Jarvis forms a double-play tandem with second baseman Ozzie Albies.

Toronto optioned Tiedemann to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

After striking out two batters and allowing one run in 1.2 innings of relief in his major-league debut during Saturday's 4-1 win over the Yankees, Tiedemann will head right back to Buffalo. He'll give up his spot on the active roster to reliever Brendon Little, who was reinstated from the paternity list. Tiedemann is likely to continue working out of the bullpen for the remainder of the season, but the Blue Jays could revisit developing the left-hander as a starter next spring.

Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said that imaging on deGrom's injured right triceps Saturday revealed encouraging news, but the right-hander may not make his next scheduled start, Theo DeRosa of MLB.com reports.

The imaging revealed nothing concerning, validating deGrom's original diagnosis of right triceps fatigue, which forced him out early in his most recent start Thursday against the Angels. While deGrom appears to have avoided any sort of major setback, the Rangers aren't yet ready to commit to him being ready to go for his next turn through the rotation, which is expected to come up Wednesday against the Nationals in Arlington. Options to replace deGrom next Wednesday would include Jack Leiter (ankle), Jordan Montgomery and Cal Quantrill.

Nunez is absent from Washington's lineup against the Mets on Sunday.

Nunez will ride the pine Sunday despite picking up at least one hit in four of his last five games. CJ Abrams will slide back to shortstop as the Nationals break him in gradually to his new assignment at the keystone, while Jorbit Vivas covers second base.

Turner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins while he contends with a bruised right knee and ankle, MLB.com reports.

Turner will head to the bench for the series finale in Minnesota after he was forced out of Saturday's 9-1 win in the eighth inning when he fouled a ball off his right leg and fell awkwardly to the ground. ">Edmundo Sosa will fill in at shortstop in place of Turner, who downplayed his injury following Saturday's contest and didn't seem concerned about requiring a trip to the injured list.

Pecko was scratched ahead of his scheduled start with Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday, potentially signaling that the Astros are planning to call him up, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

No injury was behind the decision to scratch Pecko, who has yet to make an appearance in the big leagues. The Astros seemingly have a spot available in the rotation for Pecko, as Ronel Blanco was used in long relief during Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Mariners and has submitted a 7.71 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in five appearances (four starts) since returning from the injured list in late July. Regarded as one of the organization's top pitching prospects, the 23-year-old Pecko has submitted a 4.94 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 71:28 K:BB over 74.2 innings this season in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League.
