Moniak went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an RBI double in Tuesday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Moniak has been swinging the bat fairly well since the All-Star break, going 9-for-31 (.290) with two homers and eight RBI over his last eight games. While he's still filling a platoon role, Moniak has had little trouble finding success against right-handed pitchers. He's batting .279 with an .890 OPS overall this season, and those marks rise to .292 and .951 against righties. Moniak has added 17 homers, 12 doubles, three triples, 46 RBI, 36 runs scored and one stolen base over 260 plate appearances.

Castro went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and a second run scored in Tuesday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

Castro was initially scheduled for a day off, but he ended up starting at third base when Kyle Karros (biceps) got scratched. This was Castro's second game in a row with a homer, and he's up to 11 long balls on the year, including five in July. He's hitting .259 with a .738 OPS, 45 RBI, seven stolen bases, 47 runs scored and 15 doubles over 92 contests in a utility role.

Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Angels.

Walker put Houston in front by taking Reid Detmers deep for a solo shot in the fourth inning, his 21st home run of the season. The blast snapped a 14-game homer drought for the veteran first baseman. Walker has started the second half batting 6-for-28 (.214) over nine games. For the season, he's slashing .235/.311/.455 with 21 home runs, 20 doubles, one triple, 62 RBI and 52 runs scored across 105 games.

Lorenzen allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out two over four-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Tuesday.

Lorenzen wasn't very efficient, throwing 61 of 93 pitches for strikes in this outing. He was able to benefit from the road environment, giving up no home runs for the second start in a row away from Colorado. The veteran right-hander is still a risky fantasy option regardless of location, as he's struggled to limit damage more often than not. Lorenzen has a 6.54 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 80:40 K:BB through 104.2 innings over 23 appearances (22 starts) this season. He is tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Rays.

Machado went 3-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Rockies.

Machado has six multi-hit efforts over his last eight games, going 14-for-36 (.389) with six extra-base hits and eight RBI in that span. The third baseman struggled mightily at the beginning of the season but has put together a strong July with seven homers, 18 RBI and a .310 average this month. Overall, he's batting .216 with a .744 OPS, 23 homers, 64 RBI, 55 runs scored, 18 doubles and two stolen bases over 104 contests.

Serven went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox.

Serven broke the game open in the seventh inning, taking Jake Bennett deep for a two-run homer. It was his first home run as a member of the Athletics and his first major-league homer since 2022. The veteran backstop has logged just seven plate appearances at the major-league level this season, collecting two hits including Tuesday's long ball. With Shea Langeliers sidelined by a torn meniscus, Serven could receive an extended chance in the majors this time around. He slashed .308/.401/.538 across 61 games at Triple-A Las Vegas and is expected to serve as the backup catcher behind fill-in starter Jonah Heim.

Merrill went 3-for-5 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Rockies.

Merrill has gone 16-for-35 (.457) with five home runs, nine RBI and two steals over his last nine games. This was his sixth multi-hit effort in that span. The outfielder has had some struggles this season, but he's hit .315 in July to lift his average to .235 for the season. He's added a .681 OPS, 15 homers, 47 RBI, 51 runs scored, 17 doubles, one triple and 21 steals over 104 contests.

Tatis went 5-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Rockies.

Tatis made up for his weekend slump, in which he went 0-for-13 with four strikeouts against the Marlins. All five of his hits Tuesday were singles, but he was able to set the tone from the leadoff spot in his fourth multi-hit effort over his last 11 games. For the season, he's batting .285 with a .753 OPS, eight home runs, 49 RBI, 54 runs scored, 25 stolen bases, 20 doubles and two triples over 106 contests.

King gave up four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Three of the four runs on his line came on a pair of home runs, making this the first time King has allowed multiple homers in a game since June 10 versus the Reds. He ended up allowing just nine runs over 29 innings with a 26:11 K:BB across his five starts in July. The right-hander has a 3.38 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 109:50 K:BB through 125.1 innings over 22 starts this season. King is tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Giants, though he is a trade candidate.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Angels.

Alvarez wasted little time making an impact, taking Reid Detmers deep as the second batter of the game for his MLB-leading 35th home run of the season. He came through again in the ninth inning, lining a two-out RBI single to drive in the winning run. The slugger has been on an incredible tear over his last 14 games, batting .429 with seven multi-hit performances, six home runs, four doubles and 13 RBI. Barring injury, Alvarez is on pace to shatter several career highs and has firmly established himself as the American League MVP favorite.
