  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Blasts homer in win

Torres went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Marlins. Torres was the offensive difference-maker, as his two-run homer in the second inning was all the scoring the Cardinals needed to avoid the series sweep. The 28-year-old is hitting .234/.308/.468 with three homers, seven RBI, seven runs and a stolen base across 53 plate appearances this season. With the St. Louis outfield back to full health, Torres has primarily been relegated to a reserve role since June 11.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Scratched from Wednesday's lineup

Torres was scratched from Wednesday's matchup against the Diamondbacks. Torres was slated to bat eighth and start at second base for Wednesday's affair against Arizona before being scratched. However, with Masyn Winn (thumb) being a late insert into the lineup, Torres will begin the contest on the bench.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Losing out on playing time

Torres is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets. Torres will hit the bench for the second game in a row and looks like he may have to settle for a fourth-outfielder role along with a backup gig at second base following the recent returns of Lars Nootbaar and Nathan Church from the injured list. Like Nootbaar and Church, Torres bats from the left side of the plate, so he won't make for a viable platoon partner for either outfielder.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Hitting bench against lefty

Torres is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs. The left-handed-hitting Torres will retreat to the bench for the second time in the series, with both of his absences coming against left-handed starters. Nelson Velazquez will step in as the Cardinals' starting left fielder in place of Torres, who has gone 6-for-22 with a home run, three RBI and a 2:3 BB:K through his first six big-league games since being called up from Triple-A Memphis on May 22.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Fifth straight start in left field

Torres will start in left field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Brewers. The left-handed-hitting Torres will make his fifth consecutive start in left field since being summoned from Triple-A Memphis. He's gone 5-for-15 with one home run and a 2:2 BB:K in his first four big-league contests. Torres should continue to receive regular playing time for now, though he's likely to head to the bench when Lars Nootbaar (heels) returns next week.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Homers in debut

Torres went 3-for-8 with a home run, two walks and two RBI across both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Reds. Making his major-league debut at 28 years old in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, Torres launched a two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning. He slashed .336/.454/.477 with two homers, 16 RBI, 24 runs scored and 10 steals across 166 plate appearances at Triple-A Memphis this season and should see consistent playing time with Nathan Church (shoulder) on the injured list.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Promotion coming Friday

The Cardinals are expected to call up Torres from Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports. Torres will join the major-league roster for the first time in his career, helping fill the void of Nathan Church (lower body), who is set to be placed on the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's series opener in Cincinnati. Torres has posted a .336 average with two home runs, 16 RBI, 24 runs scored and 10 stolen bases over 128 at-bats in 36 contests with Memphis so far this year.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Headed to Memphis

The Cardinals optioned Torres to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Torres enjoyed a breakout campaign at Triple-A last season, slashing .326/.441/.456 across 414 plate appearances with the Redbirds. However, he followed it up with a 2-for-10 performance in the Grapefruit League and will fall short in his pursuit of an Opening Day roster spot.

  • Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Added to 40-man roster

The Cardinals selected Torees' contract Thursday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports. The move ensures Torres won't become a minor-league free agent. The outfielder, who turns 29 in July, hasn't made his MLB debut yet. He slashed .326/.441/.456 with nine homers and 28 stolen bases in 2025 for Triple-A Memphis.
