Michael Harris II CF | ATL
Braves' Michael Harris: Exits game with quad tightness
Harris was removed from Thursday's game against the Nationals in the seventh inning due to left quad tightness.
Harris doubled in a run in the top of the seventh inning but was then seen stretching out his left leg after advancing to third base on a single. He was removed from the game before the bottom of the frame. Atlanta is saying Harris' exit was precautionary, and the outfielder said after the game that he expects to play Friday versus the Phillies, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com. Harris finished Thursday's tilt having gone 3-for-4 with two RBI, and he's batting .447 with five home runs across his last 11 games. If Harris misses some time, Eli White would receive an uptick in playing time.

Blake Snell SP | LAD
Dodgers' Blake Snell: Tosses 32 pitches in rehab start
Snell (shoulder) threw one-plus inning in a rehab outing with Single-A Ontario on Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and one walk. He didn't strike out any batters.
Snell didn't log any game action during spring training and showed plenty of rust in his first rehab appearance, needing 32 pitches to retire three batters. He got through the first inning without a run on his ledger but allowed all four batters he faced to reach base before he was pulled in the second, though there were two errors committed behind him. Snell said Thursday that he came out of the appearance well, per Katie Woo of The Athletic, and the hurler is expected to make another rehab start sometime next week. The goal is for him to work up to five innings or 75 pitches before he's activated from the injured list.

Chris Murphy RP | CHW
White Sox's Chris Murphy: Cleared for rehab assignment
Murphy (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday, Brooke Fletcher of the Chicago Sports Network reports.
Murphy gave up seven runs over his first six innings out of the White Sox' bullpen this season before going down with a left elbow impingement. He has been sidelined for just over two weeks, so Murphy's rehab assignment shouldn't take long if all goes well.

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Rare day off Thursday
Bellinger is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Red Sox.
It's the second day off this season for Bellinger, who had a nine-game hitting streak come to an end in Wednesday's contest. The Yankees will have an outfield trio of Randal Grichuk, Trent Grisham and Aaron Judge as they try to complete a series sweep.

Twins' Eric Wagaman: DFA'd by Minnesota
The Twins designated Wagaman for assignment Thursday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Eduardo Rivera SP | BOS
Red Sox's Eduardo Rivera: Optioned back to minors
The Red Sox optioned Rivera to Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Rivera made his major-league debut out of the bullpen Wednesday versus the Yankees and was impressive, fanning three over 3.1 shutout innings while yielding just one hit. Despite the good first impression, the plan was always to send Rivera back to the minors so that he can stay stretched out as a starting pitcher. The lefty could get another look later this season when a need arises.

Payton Tolle SP | BOS
Red Sox's Payton Tolle: Officially recalled ahead of start
The Red Sox recalled Tolle from Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The left-hander has logged a 3.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB across 15 innings in his first three starts for Worcester this season. There's a good chance Tolle will get an additional start or two for the Red Sox while Gray recuperates.
