Diaz went 2-for-4 with a run scored during the Rays' 10-5 loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Diaz extended his hitting streak to nine games Tuesday, during which he's logged six multi-hit games while going 18-for-40 (.450) with three home runs, six RBI and 10 runs scored. He ranks third in the majors with 145 hits, and his .306 batting average is seventh best among qualified hitters.

Soriano (10-6) picked up the win against the Rays on Tuesday, allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out two across 5.2 innings. He did not issue a walk.

The nine hits Soriano gave up Tuesday were his most of the season. However, the damage was limited to three runs thanks to double plays that the Blue Jays turned in both the third and fifth innings, the former of which came when the Rays had the bases loaded. Through three starts with Toronto, Soriano has a 2.76 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over 16.1 innings, and his next start lines up for this weekend on the road against the Yankees.

Adell was removed from Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Giants in the top of the eighth inning due to left knee pain, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Manager Stephen Vogt said Adell had "pretty good pain" in his left knee and will undergo further testing. Adell initially injured the knee when he fouled a pitch off it in the first inning. It didn't affect Adell the rest of the night at the plate, as he went on to go 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI and one run scored before being replaced by Petey Halpin in the outfield.

Smith went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer during the Blue Jays' 10-5 win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Smith got the Blue Jays to double-digit runs with a two-run homer in the seventh inning. He hit just one home run over 45 games for Texas before being traded to Toronto, where he has two long balls over 13 games with his new team while going 6-for-25 (.240).

Okamoto went 1-for-5 with a solo home run during the Blue Jays' 10-5 win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Okamoto extended the Blue Jays' lead to 7-3 with a solo homer off Steven Matz in the fifth inning. It was the 25th long ball of the season for Okamoto, setting the Blue Jays' rookie home run record. He's provided a much-needed boost to Toronto's offense this season, especially with Addison Barger (elbow) missing most of the year and Vladimir Guerrero's (concussion) power struggles. Okamoto has a .731 OPS with one steal, 72 RBI and 43 extra-base hits across 498 plate appearances.

Kirk went 3-for-6 with a double, a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored during the Blue Jays' 10-5 win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Kirk extended his hitting streak to seven games with a double in the first inning. He proceeded to extend the Blue Jays' lead to 4-0 with a two-run homer in the third -- his sixth long ball of the year -- before driving in another run in the fourth, en route to setting a season high in RBI. Through 15 games in August, Kirk has gone 20-for-51 (.392) with three home runs and 13 RBI.

Gausman was removed from Tuesday's start against the White Sox in the top of the fifth inning with an apparent left hand injury, Jared Wyllys of AllCHGO.com reports.

Gausman had to have his left, non-pitching hand, particularly his thumb, examined in the top of the fourth frame, and it appeared to be cramping up on the right-hander. After allowing an infield single to Miguel Vargas, Gausman was removed from the game after yielding three runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts across 4.1 innings. He threw 86 pitches. It's unclear if Gausman will be ready to make his next scheduled start.

Eldridge went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during the Giants' 8-1 loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

The Giants' hitters didn't have much of an answer for Guardians southpaw Foster Griffin, but Eldridge got his team on the board with a solo long ball in the second inning. It was the 14th home run of the season for Eldridge, three of which have come over his last six games. He has a .788 OPS with one steal, 33 RBI and 29 extra-base hits over 335 plate appearances this season.

Whisenhunt (3-4) took the loss against the Guardians on Tuesday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks while striking out one batter across four innings.

Whisenhunt put the Giants on the back foot early by yielding a three-run homer to Jo Adell in the first inning. Whisenhunt proceeded to give up two runs in both the second and fourth frames, ending his start with 80 pitches (47 strikes) and only five whiffs. He's allowed at least four earned runs in four of his last five starts, and the six earned runs he gave up Tuesday matched a season high that he set July 31 against the Padres. Things won't get easier for Whisenhunt, as he'll take a 7.03 ERA and 1.84 WHIP over 32 innings into his next start, which lines up for this weekend against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Manager Kevin Cash said Mesa aggravated his left hamstring injury Tuesday and could require a trip to the 10-day injured list, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Mesa was back in the lineup Tuesday after missing the previous three contests. He was hit by a pitch in the second inning against Toronto and was lifted for a pinch hitter ahead of his second plate appearance in the fourth. Mesa is slashing .214/.288/.447 across 179 trips to the plate this season and has three multi-hit games this month.
