Donovan (undisclosed) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Donovan was scratched from Saturday's lineup due to what the Mariners labeled a "load-management decision," and he finds himself on the bench for a second straight game Sunday. The 29-year-old has gone 6-for-28 with two extra-base hits in seven contests since coming back from a groin strain in early May. According to Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times, manager Dan Wilson said Donovan could be available off the bench Sunday, depending how he is feeling during his pregame work.

Pirates general manager Ben Cherington said Sunday that O'Hearn's right quadriceps strain is considered "moderate" and will likely keep him on the injured list for around four weeks, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

The 32-year-old sustained the injury during Saturday's 6-0 loss to the Phillies and is poised to be sidelined into mid-June. The quad strain is a tough break for O'Hearn, who has been enjoying a strong season as an everyday player with seven home runs, 29 RBI, 27 runs and a .289/.368/.459 slash line through 44 games.

The Dodgers recalled Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Gervase was up with the Dodgers for a couple days earlier in May and allowed one run with five strikeouts over three innings before returning to Triple-A. He's now back in the majors and is likely to fill a low-leverage role out of the bullpen.

The Dodgers recalled McDermott from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

The former Oriole joined the taxi squad Saturday and is now on the Dodgers' active roster. Between two Triple-A affiliates this year, McDermott has a 5.27 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 25:14 K:BB over 13.2 innings.

The Dodgers optioned Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

The left-hander was called up Friday and will return to Triple-A after delivering a scoreless frame in two appearances. Barnes has a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB across 26.2 innings for Oklahoma City this year.

The Dodgers placed Dreyer on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to left shoulder discomfort.

According to Sonja Chen of MLB.com, Dreyer felt something in his shoulder while warming up Saturday, but medical imaging revealed nothing more than inflammation. The left-hander could be ready to rejoin the Dodgers bullpen after spending the 15-day minimum on the shelf. Dreyer has been a reliable bullpen piece for manager Dave Roberts with three holds and a 2.08 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 24:6 K:BB across 21.2 innings.

The Rockies optioned Agnos to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Agnos was expected to operate as a high-leverage reliever for the Rockies this season and is tied for third on the team with two saves, but he's ended up filling more of a multi-inning role and has a 5.59 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB over 29 innings. The right-hander has been scored upon in eight of his 13 appearances this season and gave up multiple runs in each of those contests.

The Rockies recalled Castano from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

The right-hander was up with the Rockies for a doubleheader in late April but returned to Triple-A without appearing in a game. Castano has been very effective at Albuquerque this year with just two runs allowed and a 12:7 K:BB across 16.1 innings.

Tovar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Tovar received a couple of days off in early May amid a prolonged slump, and he's responded with a .333/.368/.389 slash line while starting the past six games. Willi Castro is shifting at shortstop while Brett Sullivan enters the lineup at catcher for Colorado in Sunday's series finale.

The Padres optioned Jacob to Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

Jacob was called up by San Diego on Friday and will return to El Paso after giving up two runs without recording an out in Saturday's contest. Sunday's starting pitcher Lucas Giolito was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
