Ezequiel Duran 2B | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Covers second base
Duran started at second base for the injured Josh Smith (glute) and went 3-for-4 with a walk, a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Yankees.
Duran, a versatile fill-in at various positions, should see regular turns at second base with Smith landing on the 10-day injured list. Even before the injury, Duran had eaten into Smith's hold on second base. The Rangers also called up Justin Foscue to help at the keystone, but Duran is likely the preferred option, having slashed .301/.370/.452 with eight extra-base hits, three steals, nine RBI and 11 runs over 82 plate appearances.

Nate Lowe DH | CIN
Reds' Nathaniel Lowe: Goes deep again
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Cubs.
Lowe gave the Reds a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning with a solo homer, his sixth in the last 11 games. He's swallowed up many of the starts at designated hitter since Eugenio Suarez (oblique) landed on the 10-day injured list; however, the injured infielder/DH began baseball activities this week. Suarez has fielded grounders and began hitting in an indoor cage. A rehab assignment should follow, which means Lowe's window could be closing within the next week.

Tony Santillan RP | CIN
Reds' Tony Santillan: Could replace injured closer
Santillan is the likely candidate to replace injured closer Emilio Pagan (hamstring), who was removed from Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Cubs, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Santillan has been the preferred eighth-inning arm for manager Terry Francona and has produced nine holds thus far in 2026. Although he didn't fare well Tuesday -- the right-hander was taken deep by Michael Busch -- Santillan is a logical choice to serve as the closer in Pagan's absence. Santillan a trusted late-game arm, sporting a 2.87 ERA over 15.2 innings this season, and his 12 career saves are more than any other relievers in line to get save opportunities for the Reds.

Andres Munoz RP | SEA
Mariners' Andres Munoz: Takes loss Tuesday
Munoz (3-3) took the loss Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing a run on one hit and a walk in one inning. He struck out two.
Entering with the game tied 2-2 in the ninth inning, Munoz promptly gave up a leadoff, go-ahead homer to Matt Olson. It's already the third long ball surrendered by Munoz this season after he gave up just two in 62.1 innings last year. It's been a shaky start to the campaign for Munoz, who sports a 6.00 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP and 25:7 K:BB across 15 innings while converting seven of his nine save chances.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Astros' Christian Walker: Launches ninth homer
Walker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers.
Walker opened the scoring in the second inning with a 305-foot blast off Shohei Ohtani, his ninth homer of the year and the first given up by Ohtani this season. Walker has been red hot at the plate to start the year -- he's gone 21-for-54 (.389) with five homers and a 1.153 OPS in his last 14 games, boosting his slash line to .308/.384/.579 through 151 plate appearances this season.

Santana (thigh) is continuing to rehab at Triple-A Reno and will be evaluated by the end of the week, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Jordan Lawlar SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Doing baseball activities
Lawlar is doing as much baseball activity as possible without using his fractured right wrist, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo indicated the plan is to have a bat in Lawlar's hands in about two weeks. Lawlar is currently on the 60-day injured list and can return June 3 at the earliest.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Homers against Texas
Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rangers.
Goldschmidt connected for his second homer of the season and first since April 1, taking Tyler Alexander deep for a solo shot in the eighth inning to extend the lead. The blast was also the 374th home run of his career, moving him into 82nd place on the all-time leaderboard. The veteran has started to show signs of life at the plate, reaching base safely in five straight games. Goldschmidt is currently slashing .209/.306/.442 with four doubles, seven RBI and 10 runs scored in 49 trips to the plate.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Yankees' Ryan McMahon: Blasts third homer Tuesday
McMahon went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rangers.
McMahon provided an early spark, launching a two-run homer off Jacob deGrom in the second inning -- his third of the year. The veteran infielder has quietly started to turn things around at the plate after a slow start to the season, entering Tuesday batting .286 with a 120 wRC+ over his previous 16 games. McMahon is now slashing .216/.296/.341 with two doubles, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored across 98 plate appearances.
