  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Starting light baseball activities

Raleigh (oblique) is slated for light catch play Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

It marks Raleigh's first baseball activity since being placed on the 10-day injured list in mid-May due to a right oblique strain. He'll continue his rehab program in Arizona, and the Mariners should have a better sense of Raleigh's recovery timeline once he progresses to other activities such as swinging a bat.

  • Tyrone Taylor LF | CHC

Mets' Tyrone Taylor: Expected to hit IL

Taylor (hip) will be sent for an MRI, but the team expects that he'll require a stint on the injured list, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

Taylor was pulled from Monday's game against Cincinnati after suffering a right hip injury, and the team has yet to reveal the severity of the issue. Assuming he does land on the injured list over the next day or so, A.J. Ewing and Bretty Baty could pick up a few extra at-bats.

  • Bailey Falter RP | ATL

Royals' Bailey Falter: Drawing start Tuesday

Falter will serve as the Royals' starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Falter will be making his second straight turn through the rotation, though he's likely to be in line for a limited workload once again after tossing two innings and 39 pitches in a start last Tuesday in a 7-1 loss to the Red Sox. Luinder Avila covered three innings behind Falter in that game and could be called upon in bulk relief versus the Yankees.

  • Denzel Clarke CF | ATH

Athletics' Denzel Clarke: Receiving PRP injection

Clarke (hamstring) will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection Tuesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Clarke went on the 10-day injured list in late April with a foot injury but suffered a high-grade left hamstring strain last week while on a rehab assignment. He will remain shut down from activities following the PRP injection and is expected to be sidelined until well after the All-Star break.

  • Max Muncy 3B | ATH

Athletics' Max Muncy: Taking BP on field

Muncy (hand) has been cleared to take batting practice on the field and also go through infield drills, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Muncy has been out since late April with a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand, He is taking some big steps forward with his recovery, but the Athletics are refraining from offering a timetable for the infielder's return to the active roster. Because he's missed so much time, Muncy is undoubtedly going to require a rehab assignment before returning.

  • Anthony Nunez RP | BAL

Orioles' Anthony Nunez: Saddled with blown save Monday

Nunez was charged with a blown save Monday against the Rays, allowing one run on two hits and no walks in the eighth inning.

Summoned to protect a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning, Nunez gave up a double to Yandy Diaz and then a single to Richie Palacios to lose the lead. Nunez is working in tandem with Rico Garcia as Baltimore's top closers until Ryan Helsley (elbow) is able to come off the injured list, but he hasn't been particularly reliable so far. Through 24.2 innings, Nunez has a 5.11 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 28:8 K:BB while converting only half of his six save opportunities.

  • Edwin Diaz RP | LAD

Dodgers' Edwin Diaz: Slated to start throwing

Diaz (elbow) is expected to start a throwing progression Tuesday or Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Diaz underwent surgery in late April to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. He's progressed enough in his recovery to start a throwing program, but the expectation is that he will be sidelined until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Diaz's exact activation date from the IL will be more clear as he continues to move through his rehab program.

  • Jacob Wilson SS | ATH

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Resumes baseball activities

Wilson (shoulder) has begun a hitting progression and also resumed playing catch, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

He will also begin fielding grounders this week. It's a big step forward for Wilson as he works his way back from a left shoulder subluxation, but there remains no timetable for his return to the active roster. With Wilson sidelined, Darell Hernaiz has been holding down shortstop for the Athletics.

  • Tyrone Taylor LF | CHC

Mets' Tyrone Taylor: Leaves with hip injury

Taylor was removed from Monday's game versus the Reds after the sixth inning with right hip discomfort, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

He limped off the field and into the clubhouse after grounding out in the bottom of the sixth inning, and MJ Melendez entered the game in Taylor's place in the top of the seventh. Taylor went 0-for-2 with a strikeout in his two plate appearances before exiting. The Mets should have more after the game regarding the outfielder's future availability.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Starting rehab assignment Tuesday

Edman (ankle) will start his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Edman has been slowly progressing in his recovery from right ankle surgery that he underwent in the offseason. The 31-year-old is ready to take the next step by embarking on a rehab assignment and will spend at least the next three weeks with Oklahoma City, where he's expected to see the majority of his opportunities at second base, according to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. If all goes to plan, Edman could be back with the Dodgers by mid-June, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.
