Taillon took a no-decision Wednesday against the Pirates, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out four.

Although Taillon got enough run support to keep him out of the loss column, he wasn't particularly effective on the bump Wednesday. The 34-year-old right-hander continues to get stung by the long ball on a regular basis, serving up multiple home runs six times already this year -- including two Wednesday -- and allowing at least one homer in nine of his 11 starts. Having given up at least four runs in three straight outings, Taillon will be tough to trust when he takes a 5.37 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 51:20 K:BB over 60.1 innings into his next scheduled start against the Athletics.

Sandlin (1-0) got the win Wednesday against the Twins, allowing one run on one hit and no walks with four strikeouts across six innings.

Sandlin stunned in his professional baseball debut as he retired every batter he faced (18 straight) after giving up a leadoff home run to Byron Buxton. The rookie took the rotation spot of Noah Schultz (knee) after the latter was placed on the 15-day injured list and was highly efficient, needing only 61 pitches (41 strikes) to get through six innings. Sandlin did not cover more than four innings in any of his last four Triple-A starts, but he was able to notch a quality start Wednesday. The 25-year-old is projected to next take the mound in a rematch against the Twins next week.

Soriano (6-4) took the loss Wednesday against Detroit, allowing three runs on seven hits and four walks in five innings. He struck out four.

Soriano labored Wednesday, needing 105 pitches (61 strikes) to complete five frames while walking at least a trio of batters for the seventh time this season. The 27-year-old right-hander has come crashing back to earth quite a bit following an amazing start to the year that saw him post a 0.24 ERA through six outings, as Soriano has a 5.35 ERA and 1.51 WHIP across his last 33.2 innings (six starts). He's set to bring what's still an impressive 2.65 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 78:31 K:BB over 71.1 frames overall into a favorable home matchup against the Rockies.

Gausman didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Marlins, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Miami tried to bolster its offense by running wild on the basepaths, and while the visitors went 3-for-3 on steal attempts while Gausman was on the mound, their final 5-for-9 showing on the afternoon had a hand in the narrow loss. The veteran right-hander was lifted after 95 pitches (56 strikes) and has allowed one run or fewer in three straight trips to the mound. He'll take a 3.13 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 66:12 K:BB through 69 innings on the season into his next start, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Atlanta.

Edwards went 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Blue Jays.

The 26-year-old infielder continues racking up hits. Edwards has produced six multi-hit performances in the last 15 games, a stretch in which he's batting .322 (19-for-59) with two home runs, four steals, five RBI and 13 runs.

Rafaela went 3-for-5 with two RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-0 win over Atlanta.

The 25-year-old center fielder posted his fourth three-hit effort of the campaign Wednesday as well as his 11th multi-hit showing. Rafaela has hit safely in 17 of his 23 outings in the month of May, now slashing a healthy .285/.350/.441 with 16 extra-base hits, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored and four stolen bases across 197 plate appearances overall in 2026.

Lopez went 4-for-4 with an RBI and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Blue Jays.

Facing the team he made his big-league debut with in 2021, Lopez tied his career high for hits in a game while swiping multiple bags for the second time in the last 11 contests. The 27-year-old shortstop boosted his batting average to an MLB-leading .342 with the performance, and through 56 games he also sports four homers, 10 steals, 23 RBI and 31 runs.

Elder (4-3) took the loss Wednesday against Boston, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits and one walk in 3.1 innings. He struck out one.

Elder danced around constant trouble throughout the evening but couldn't escape the fourth inning, when the Red Sox shelled him for six runs. The 27-year-old right-hander gave up a season-worst nine hits and five earned runs in his shortest outing of the year, also fanning a season-low one. Elder will be aiming to flush Wednesday's dud in his next scheduled appearance against the Blue Jays, still holding a strong 2.50 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 61:22 K:BB over 72 frames.

Early (5-2) notched the win Wednesday against Atlanta, allowing no runs on four hits and three walks in seven innings. He struck out seven.

The 24-year-old left-hander had his entire pitch mix working Wednesday, filling the zone for 65 strikes (97 pitches) in a scoreless gem. It was the second time during the month of May that Early spun seven shutout frames, and he also registered his fifth quality start in his last eight outings. Early, who has given up more than three runs just once this year, will carry a strong 2.95 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 57:22 K:BB over 61 innings into his next scheduled appearance against the division-rival Orioles.

The Blue Jays are expected to select McAdoo's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

McAdoo has spent the entire season up to this point at Buffalo, slashing .250/.356/.436 with eight home runs, 27 RBI, 31 runs scored and six steals through 202 plate appearances. The 24-year-old primarily operates as a corner infielder but can also cover second base in a pinch, so he'll give Toronto infield depth while presumably serving as a bench piece. His first appearance with the Jays will mark his MLB debut.
