Rangers' Corey Seager: Activated from injured list
The Rangers reinstated Seager from the 10-day injured list Friday.
Seager landed on the IL on July 1 with a back injury and will return to action exactly 30 days later after being activated Friday. The 32-year-old has slashed a career-worst .182/.292/.374 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI in 219 plate appearances this season. Texas optioned Josh Smith to Triple-A to make room for Seager on the active roster.

Phillies' Kyle Schwarber: Back in lineup Friday
Schwarber (illness) is in the lineup for Friday's matchup against the Orioles.
After missing the final two games of the series against Miami due to a gastrointestinal issue, Schwarber is back for the Phillies for Friday's series opener against Baltimore. The 33-year-old will act as the designated hitter and bat second for Philadelphia.

Pirates' Antwone Kelly: Recalled from Triple-A
The Pirates recalled Kelly from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday, Jason Mackey of MLB.com reports.
Kelly has made a pair of relief appearances for the Pirates this season, giving up five runs with a 1:2 K:BB over 4.1 frames. The right-hander threw five shutout innings in his last relief outing at Indianapolis last Saturday, so he's prepared to provide length out of the Pittsburgh bullpen, if needed.

Phillies' Brian Keller: Sent to Lehigh Valley
The Phillies optioned Keller to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.
After making just one appearance with the Phillies on June 25, Keller will re-join the Triple-A club. The 32-year-old allowed just one run on two hits while striking out three in three innings during his lone appearance. Philadelphia elevated Andrew Painter from Lehigh Valley to replace Keller on the 26-man roster.

Pirates' Hunter Barco: Sent back to Indianapolis
The Pirates optioned Barco to Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday, Jason Mackey of MLB.com reports.
Barco gave up two runs on five hits and three walks in three innings as a bulk reliever Thursday versus the Reds. He was not going to be available to pitch for at least a day or two, so the Pirates will replace him in the bullpen with a fresh arm.

Phillies' Andrew Painter: Called up to majors
The Phillies recalled Painter from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Painter will appear in Friday's series opener against Baltimore in some fashion. Painter will be making his first appearance with the big-league club since June 17. In 65 innings, the right-hander has struggled, posting a 7.06 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 53:24 K:BB this season. To make room on the 26-man roster for the 23-year-old, Philadelphia optioned Brian Keller to Triple-A.

Blue Jays' Braydon Fisher: Reinstated from bereavement list
The Blue Jays activated Fisher from the bereavement list Friday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Fisher was away for the series against the Nationals earlier this week but is back in time for the start of a homestand Friday. He's logged a 4.15 ERA and 52:26 K:BB over 52 frames for Toronto in 2026.

The Blue Jays optioned Pinango to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.
As Jesus Sanchez (ankle) returns from the injured list after missing over a month of action, Pinango will make his way down to the Triple-A squad. In 180 plate appearances this season, the 24-year-old has slashed .260/.306/.396 with five homers and 20 RBI.
