Chapman earned the save in Friday's 2-0 win over the Rays, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

Chapman was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning and slammed the door on 18 pitches. The 38-year-old has been flawless in back-to-back appearances and has now held opponents scoreless in nine straight outings. For the year, he's converted all eight of his save chances while posting a 0.71 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB across 12.2 innings.

Varland pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Friday's 2-0 win over the Angels.

Varland was called upon to finish off a team shutout in the ninth inning and did so on just 11 pitches. The 28-year-old has now converted all five of his save chances, solidifying himself as the clear favorite for save chances in Toronto. He's been stellar this season, allowing just one earned run while posting a 1.07 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 19.2 innings.

Lockridge was removed from Friday's game against the Yankees with an apparent right leg/knee injury, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Lockridge crashed hard into the wall while trying to make a sliding catch in foul territory, and he wasn't able to put any weight on his right leg after being helped to his feet. He had to leave the game on a cart, and the Brewers will almost certainly send him in for imaging to determine whether he suffered a fracture. If the 29-year-old needs to spend time on the IL, Blake Perkins would be a candidate to return to the majors and get at-bats against left-handed starters.

The Dodgers recalled Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

After posting a 3.65 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 12.1 innings in Triple-A, Gervase will get the call to return to Los Angeles as the roster replacement for Tyler Glasnow (back). Gervase surrendered four earned runs in 8.1 big-league innings between Tampa Bay and Los Angeles last season, and he'll likely be limited to middle-relief duties while with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers placed Glasnow on the 15-day injured list Friday with lower-back spasms.

Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that MRI results on Glasnow's back didn't reveal anything significant, per Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, but the Dodgers will send him to the injured list to be safe. Paul Gervase was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move to give Los Angeles some extra bullpen depth, and Roki Sasaki figures to stick in the Dodgers' six-man rotation for the foreseeable future even with Blake Snell (shoulder) returning this weekend.

Marte was scratched from the lineup for Friday's game against the Mets due to an illness, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Ildemaro Vargas will shift to second base with Marte out of the lineup, and Jose Fernandez will enter the starting nine to fill the opening at first.

Davis isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Friday will mark the fourth time in Pittsburgh's last five games that Joey Bart has started over Davis at catcher, which suggests that Davis has fallen on the depth chart. It's an understandable choice, as Davis has slashed just .156/.253/.273 across 88 plate appearances to begin the season.

The Pirates recalled Yorke from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.

Yorke was sent down to Triple-A on Saturday, but he'll now return to Pittsburgh to make up for the loss of Jake Mangum (hamstring) to the injured list. Yorke has slashed .221/.308/.309 across 78 plate appearances in the majors this season and has experience at nearly every position.

The Pirates placed Mangum on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Friday, retroactive to Wednesday.

Mangum was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup due to a hamstring issue, and additional testing later revealed his injury to be a strain. He'll now be held out of action until at least May 16, and Nick Yorke will come up from Triple-A Indianapolis to replenish Pittsburgh's bench depth.

Harvey was diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right triceps Friday, Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Harvey had progressed to throwing off a mound while working his way back from ticeps inflammation, but he reported soreness after Thursday's session. An MRI revealed a stress reaction, which will keep the 31-year-old shut down for the next month. A clearer timeline for his return may begin to emerge once he's cleared to restart his throwing program.
