Young went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Monday's 2-1 win over the Yankees.

Young opened the scoring Monday with a two-out single off Ryan Weathers in the second inning, tallying his fourth RBI through five games this year. Young has carried over his strong spring training performance into the regular season -- he's now 6-for-18 (including 3-for-6 against left-handed pitching) with a home run as he's settled into an everyday role at second base.

Winn earned a hold and struck out three in a scoreless inning during Monday's 3-2 win over the Padres.

Winn worked the eighth inning in a setup role and struck out the side while throwing nine of his 13 pitches for strikes. The right-hander relied heavily on his splitter, throwing it 10 times and generating five whiffs. The 28-year-old has yet to allow a run through three outings, giving up one walk while striking out six in three innings.

Bader went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win over the Padres.

Bader launched a 408-foot shot to left-center field in the third inning, accounting for San Francisco's first home run of the season. The veteran outfielder was 1-for-10 with four strikeouts entering Monday's contest, and he's now slashing .143/.143/.357 across 14 plate appearances. He has recorded a hit in back-to-back games and will look to put a rough opening series behind him.

Florentino is sidelined with a left ankle injury.

He suffered the injury in February and has resumed baseball activities, but Florentino is expected to be sidelined into April. Once healthy, the 19-year-old Florentino could get assigned to High-A Greensboro after he logged a 143 wRC+ in 54 games at Single-A to close 2025.

Sloan is opening the season with Double-A Arkansas, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Few prospects generated more rave reviews this spring than Sloan, whose already plus fastball jumped a couple ticks and now sits around 97 mph. Sloan, who could be the game's top pitching prospect in a couple months, only made three starts at High-A last year, so this is a big vote of confidence. Per the report, the initial plan was to assign Sloan to High-A Everett, but the calculus changed after he made such a strong impression this spring. The less volatile weather conditions in Arkansas compared to the Pacific Northwest in April also factored into the decision. What makes the assignment even more notable is that the Mariners have a track record of jumping their best pitching prospects from Double-A to the majors, bypassing the Pacific Coast League. Kade Anderson, the Mariners' other premium pitching prospect, is also opening the year at Double-A.

Lile went 2-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI in Monday's win over the Phillies.

The Nats ran away with a 13-2 victory, and Lile got the rout started with an RBI on a fielder's choice in the first inning. The 23-year-old has hits in four straight games to begin the season, going 6-for-18 with two doubles, three RBI, five runs and a 2:3 BB:K as he gets an early jump on demonstrating his 2025 breakout was no fluke.

Henry gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning during Monday's win over the Phillies. He struck out one.

The right-hander entered the game with the Nationals cruising to a 13-2 rout. Henry's made two appearances so far, and both came in blowouts -- he also delivered a scoreless inning in Saturday's 10-2 loss to the Cubs. Henry was viewed as potentially part of the closing picture coming into the season alongside Clayton Beeter, but his early usage suggests he's a long way from a high-leverage role.

Soto went went 1-for-3 with two walks and an RBI in Monday's win over the Cardinals.

The 27-year-old superstar is still looking for his first homer of 2026, but as customary, Soto's been an on-base machine to kick off the campaign. Through four games, he's gone 6-for-17 with a double, a run scored, four RBI and a 3:3 BB:K, giving him a .450 OBP.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that Volpe (shoulder) will take live batting practice Wednesday.

It's a significant step for Volpe, who is working his way back from October 2025 surgery to repair the labrum in his left shoulder. Boone added that, if all goes well, Volpe should be ready to begin a rehab assignment in two weeks. That should put Volpe on pace to return around May 1, which has been the approximate timeline. Jose Caballero has been handling shortstop for the Yankees while Volpe recuperates.
