Reese McGuire C | CHC
Reese McGuire: Non-tendered by Cubs
The Cubs non-tendered McGuire on Friday, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
McGuire joined the Cubs in January on a minor-league contract, but he spent most of the season with the big club to provide depth behind the plate for Carson Kelly and Miguel Amaya. McGuire appeared in 45 regular-season games in 2025 and posted a .689 OPS with 17 runs scored, nine home runs and 24 RBI over 140 plate appearances. The 30-year-old backstop will enter free agency and look to join a team ahead of spring training.

Joey Lucchesi RP | SF
Joey Lucchesi: Non-tendered by San Francisco
The Giants non-tendered Lucchesi on Friday, making him a free agent, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
The left-hander was a solid middle reliever for the Giants last year with a 3.76 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB over 38.1 innings, but the organization elected not to tender him a contract for 2026. Lucchesi should be able to secure another contract this winter but may not be guaranteed a big-league deal.

Daniel Robert RP | PHI
Daniel Robert: Non-tendered by Phillies
The Phillies non-tendered Robert (forearm) on Friday.
Robert made 15 regular-season appearances for the Phillies in 2025 and posted a 4.15 ERA and 1.62 WHIP across 13 innings before ending the year on the IL with a strained right forearm. The 31-year-old righty also turned in a 2.67 ERA over 30.1 minor-league frames, which should be more than enough to attract at least a minor-league deal this winter.
-
Michael Mercado RP | PHI
Michael Mercado: Non-tendered by Philly
The Phillies non-tendered Mercado on Friday.
Mercado's time in the Phillies organization will come to an end after giving up 21 earned runs across just 16 innings in the majors. He finished 2025 with a more respectable 4.68 ERA and 1.60 WHIP across 48 frames at Triple-A and will now likely seek out a minor-league deal during the offseason.

Felix Bautista RP | BAL
Orioles' Felix Bautista: Staying in Baltimore
Bautista and the Orioles avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.25 million contract Friday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Bautista is not expected to be available until late next season after undergoing surgery in August to repair a torn labrum and torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. Prior to the injury, Bautista appeared in 35 games for the Orioles, converting 19 of 20 save opportunities while posting a 2.60 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 50:23 K:BB across 34.2 innings.

Rafael Marchan C | PHI
Phillies' Rafael Marchan: Gets deal for 2026
Marchan signed a one-year, $860,000 contract with the Phillies on Friday.
Marchan posted just a .587 OPS across 118 plate appearances with the Phillies in 2025, but the team will opt to keep him around for another year. He will likely have to compete for a place on the big-league roster during spring training.
-
Roddery Munoz RP | STL
Roddery Munoz: Let go by Cincinnati
The Reds did not tender Munoz a contract for 2026 on Friday, making him a free agent.
The right-hander was claimed off waivers by the Reds in early November, but the organization won't retain him through Friday's non-tender deadline. Munoz pitched in eight games for the Cardinals last year and had an 8.18 ERA and 14:9 K:BB over 11 innings.

J.J. Bleday CF | ATH
JJ Bleday: Enters free agency
The Athletics non-tendered Bleday on Friday.
Bleday lost his spot on the 40-man roster Tuesday, and he'll now depart the organization as a whole after not receiving a contract offer for the 2026 season. The 28-year-old outfielder slashed .212/.294/.404 with 14 homers, 39 RBI and 48 runs scored in 98 games with the A's in 2025 and should be able to at least land a minor-league deal this winter.

Ken Waldichuk SP | ATH
Athletics' Ken Waldichuk: Staying with Athletics
Waldichuk and the Athletics avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Friday.
Waldichuk spent the first half of the 2025 regular season rehabbing from Tommy John surgery that he underwent in May of 2024. He was activated from the 60-day IL in mid-July and spent the rest of the year in the minors with Triple-A Las Vegas, where he posted a 2-6 record across 16 games (15 starts) with an 8.65 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 64:42 K:BB across 51 innings. Waldichuk last saw major-league action in 2023 with the Athletics, and he'll look to impress the team enough during spring training to earn a spot on the Opening Day roster for 2026.

Luis Medina SP | ATH
Athletics' Luis Medina: Settles with Athletics
Medina (elbow) agreed a one-year contract with the Athletics on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Medina missed the entire 2025 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but he began facing hitters in the batting cage by late September and should be back to full health by the time spring training starts. However, the 26-year-old righty owns a 5.35 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in his MLB career, so his place on the Athletics' Opening Day roster is far from guaranteed.
