Harrison saw his season ERA drop from 3.47 to 2.99 on Monday, after a scoring change from his Aug. 11 start in San Diego resulted in five earned runs coming off his ledger.

In the second inning of the game, Harrison allowed a pair of base hits to open the frame before inducing a weak grounder to third off the bat of Padres catcher Luis Campusano. David Hamilton stepped on third base to record the first out, but Ji Hwan Bae was unable to corral the throw to second base to complete a double play. The Padres went on to score five runs that inning, but all of those will go down as unearned runs for Harrison after the Major League Baseball retroactively charged Bae with an error, negating the previous ruling of a fielder's choice.

Moniak is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

The Rockies will give the left-handed-hitting Moniak a night off while southpaw Blake Snell toes the rubber for the Dodgers. Moniak had started in each of the Rockies' last seven games, going 3-for-24 (.125 average) with five RBI and one run during that stretch.

The Diamondbacks placed Marte on the restricted list Monday.

The team has yet to provide an explanation behind the transaction, nor is it clear how long Marte might be away from the Diamondbacks. Ildemaro Vargas will draw the start at second base in Monday's series opener in Boston in Marte's stead.

Fernandez was recalled from Triple-A Reno ahead of Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Fernandez will take the roster spot of Ketel Marte, who was placed on the restricted list prior to first pitch. Fernandez is penciled into the starting nine at the hot corner and will bat seventh against Boston on Monday, though he's also seen playing time at first base (17 games), shortstop (five games) and as the designated hitter (19 games) so far this season with Arizona.

Arenado (chest) is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup against the Red Sox on Monday.

Manager Torey Lovullo said that an MRI showed a "small signal" in Arenado's left intercostal, per Jody Jackson of DBacks.tv. However, Arenado will be available off the bench Monday, and the expecation is that he will avoid the injured list. Jose Fernandez -- who was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Monday after Ketel Marte (not injury related) was placed on the restricted list -- will start at third base and bat seventh.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Smith (neck) will begin a rehab assignment next week if the catcher's workouts go well this week, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Smith has turned a corner in his recovery from a neck injury and is nearly ready to test things out in a game setting. Considering he last played in a game June 5, the catcher will likely need several rehab games before rejoining the Dodgers' active roster. Smith collected a .720 OPS with six home runs in 52 contests before getting hurt.

Baty is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

Though he'll take a seat against righty Walker Buehler in the series opener, Baty has maintained a strong-side platoon role for much of August. Baty doesn't have a home at any one position, but his ability to play multiple spots on the diamond and in the outfield had helped him pick up starts in each of the Mets' previous eight matchups with righties.

The Pirates designated Rodriguez for assignment Monday.

A spot on the 40-man roster was needed for Oneil Cruz's return from the 60-day injured list. Rodriguez was acquired via trade three weeks ago and has yet to appear in a game for the Pirates. He's hit just .177/.288/.301 over parts of three major-league seasons.

Bender (shin) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.

Bender has been shelved since late June with a stress reaction in his right shin. Because he's missed so much time, he's likely to require a handful of rehab appearances before rejoining the Marlins' bullpen.

Stowers (hamstring) is in the middle of a return-to-play running progression, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.

Stowers suffered a left hamstring strain just over a week ago, so it's a good sign that he's already running again to test out his injured leg. He will be eligible for activation Friday, and while it seems unlikely Stowers will be ready to go on that day, he shouldn't have any trouble being reinstated from the 10-day injured list before the end of August.
