Myers will start Friday's contest on the mound versus the Marlins, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Myers will make his second start of the season, but he likely isn't stretched out enough to serve as anything more than a glorified opener. He hasn't thrown more than 25 pitches in an appearance since May 2 and has maxed out at three innings on the season. Sean Manaea, who hasn't pitched since Sunday, is available to handle multiple frames out of the bullpen, but it's not clear if the Mets intend to use him in tandem with Myers or if manager Carlos Mendoza will see how many innings he can get out of Myers before deciding how to deploy his relief options.

Stowers went 2-for-4 with a two solo home runs in Thursday's 9-3 loss to Atlanta.

Stowers registered the sixth multi-homer game of his career Thursday and his first of the year after accomplishing the feat five times in 2025. After breaking out with a career-high .912 OPS over 399 regular-season at-bats a year ago, the 28-year-old slugger is stumbling out of the gates in 2026 following a stay on the injured list to begin the campaign. Stowers is hitting a weak .228 with three big flies, five doubles, eight RBI and one stolen base across 101 at-bats, but he does have 13 walks already.

Harris went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Thursday's 9-3 win over Miami.

Harris recorded the eighth multi-homer game of his career Thursday and his second of the season already. After turning in a career-low .677 OPS across 611 regular-season at-bats in 2025, the center fielder is enjoying a resurgent campaign in 2026. Harris is batting a strong .298 with 11 long balls, five doubles, 29 RBI and three stolen bases through 48 games.

Alcantara (3-3) took the loss Thursday against Atlanta, allowing six runs on nine hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out three.

The Atlanta bats peppered Alcantara on Thursday, as the hurler was scored upon in four of his six frames. Although the right-hander has been a workhorse for the Marlins this year, covering at least six innings in nine of his 11 starts, he's already up to three outings with at least six runs allowed. Alcantara will be seeking some consistency his next time out in Toronto, where he'll bring a 4.00 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 48:20 K:BB across 69.2 frames.

Strider (2-0) earned the win Thursday against the Marlins, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out nine.

Strider delivered his longest outing since coming off the injured list in early May while also logging his second quality start of the year. The hard-throwing right-hander induced an impressive 15 whiffs en route to fanning a season-high nine, but he's now walked multiple hitters in all four of his appearances. Strider will carry a strong 3.00 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB across 21 innings into his next scheduled start against the Red Sox.

Acuna suffered a bone bruise on his left thumb in Thursday's 9-3 win over Miami, Barrett Sallee of 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.

Acuna left the game in the sixth inning, finishing his day 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored. The 28-year-old told Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com that he expects to play Friday against the Nationals and that the thumb swelled up after he was hit in a bad spot while catching a flyball earlier in the contest. Manager Walt Weiss explained after the game that he wasn't sure when exactly the injury happened, but that he thinks that Acuna is "going to be fine." The outfielder can be considered day-to-day ahead of Friday's series opener.

Acuna underwent X-rays on his left thumb, which came back negative, after exiting Thursday's contest against the Marlins in the sixth inning, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.

Acuna appears to have avoided any significant damage to his left thumb after his early departure from the series finale in Miami. The outfielder is considered day-to-day ahead of Atlanta's three-game home series against the Nationals that begins Friday.

Acuna was removed from Thursday night's contest against the Marlins in the sixth inning with left thumb pain.

Acuna was replaced in right field by Eli White ahead of the bottom of the sixth frame, bringing his night to a premature end after he went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored. The team described the decision to pull Acuna as a precautionary move, so fantasy managers can momentarily breathe a sigh of relief. More information on his status will likely be provided in the near future.

Church (lower body) is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Church was scratched from the lineup Thursday against the Pirates because he was "just a little beat up," according to manager Oliver Marmol. The outfielder appears to be dealing with something significant enough to require him to be sidelined moving forward, but it's currently unclear what exactly he's being hampered by. Outfielder Bryan Torres is expected to be called up from Triple-A Memphis on Friday in a corresponding move.

The Cardinals are expected to call up Torres from Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Torres will join the major-league roster for the first time in his career, helping fill the void of Nathan Church (lower body), who is set to be placed on the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's series opener in Cincinnati. Torres has posted a .336 average with two home runs, 16 RBI, 24 runs scored and 10 stolen bases over 128 at-bats in 36 contests with Memphis so far this year.
