Bart is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Bart will grab a breather Wednesday after starting at catcher in both of the past two games. Yasmani Grandal will replace Bart behind the dish.

The Cardinals recalled Roycroft from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday.

He's taking the roster spot vacated by JoJo Romero (forearm), who landed on the 15-day injured list. Roycroft has compiled a 4.01 ERA and 33:15 K:BB across 33.2 innings this season during his time in the Cardinals bullpen.

The Cardinals placed Romero on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with left forearm flexor inflammation.

Romero doesn't appear to be dealing with any structural damage to his pitching arm, but the injury will prematurely end his 2024 campaign. The setup man enjoyed a successful season, finishing with a 3.36 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 51:16 K:BB over 59 innings. He scooped up seven wins and was credited with 30 holds and one save.

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

D'Arnaud started the series opener Tuesday, but he'll begin Wednesday's contest on the bench. Sean Murphy will start at catcher for Atlanta and will bat eighth.

Lindor (back) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Hurricane Helene could put Wednesday's contest at risk of postponement as the storm makes its way to the Gulf Coast, but if the game is played, the Mets will have their star shortstop back in the fold after an eight-game absence. Lindor appeared in the on-deck circle in Tuesday's 5-1 loss, but he ultimately went unused after the Mets failed to put a runner on base in the top of the ninth inning. The Mets are apparently comfortable enough with how Lindor responded to a recent injection in his back to not only deploy him atop the batting order, but at his usual spot in the field. Assuming he steers clear of any setbacks Wednesday, Lindor will likely be in the lineup for each of the remaining four games of the season as the Mets look to secure a wild-card spot.

India (head) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

India was lifted from Tuesday's 6-1 loss after being hit in the helmet by a pitch a couple innings after his final plate appearance of the night and is being evaluated under the concussion protocol. The Reds haven't confirmed that India has been diagnosed with a concussion, so while he'll step out of the lineup Wednesday, he can be considered day-to-day heading into the club's season-ending series with the Cubs this weekend. Santiago Espinal will check in for India at second base in the series finale in Cleveland.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Rojas had started in each of the Phillies' last five games, but he may fade into more of a fourth-outfielder role heading into the postseason after Austin Hays returned from the injured list Tuesday. Hays, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos will likely represent the Phillies' preferred outfield trio against right-handed pitching, though Rojas could replace the left-handed-hitting Marsh in the lineup when Philadelphia opposes lefties.

Bohm is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Bohm appears to be receiving a routine day off after he had started each of the Phillies' last seven games following his return from the 10-day injured list Sept. 15. Kody Clemens will fill in for Bohm at third base Wednesday.

Yepez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Andres Chaparro (personal) is away on paternity leave, but Luis Garcia will get another start at designated hitter, which leaves no room in the lineup for Yepez. Yepez had started seven of the previous eight contests, although he's seen his playing time drop in September on the whole.

Ruiz is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Ruiz is getting a breather after starting each of the previous five contests (four at catcher, one at designated hitter). Drew Millas will catch and bat seventh for the Nationals.
