Brasier will start Friday's game against the Rockies, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

The Dodgers will be relying on their bullpen to get them through Friday's contest at Coors Field, and they'll entrust Brasier with at least the first three batters as the opener. The 37-year-old owns a 3.33 ERA and 0.93 WHIP through 27 frames on the year, though his outing Friday will almost certainly be brief, as only two of his 28 appearances have lasted more than one inning.

The Nationals recalled Rutledge on Friday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

The move gives the Nationals a long-relief option out of the bullpen for the final series of the season against the Phillies. Rutledge last pitched for the Nats on July 12, when he allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over 4.2 innings. He's spent most of the season with Triple-A Rochester, where he's posted a 4-9 record over 27 starts with a 6.40 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 128:77 K:BB across 122.1 innings. To make room on the 28-man roster for Rutledge, Washington optioned DJ Herz to the Florida Complex League.

Lopez (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Thursday and manager Brian Snitker said Friday that Lopez felt great and is ready to go when needed, Grant McAuley of 92.9 The Game Atlanta reports.

Atlanta's starters for Saturday and Sunday have yet to be determined, but Lopez appears to be firmly in the mix to take the mound on either day, or perhaps during Monday's doubleheader against the Mets. Per McAuley, Snitker also mentioned that Lopez wouldn't be under any major pitch count limitations if he were to start. Atlanta is one of three teams competing for the final two National League wild-card slots.

Gallo is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

It's southpaw Ranger Suarez on the bump for the Phillies, so the lefty-hitting Gallo will begin the festivities on the bench. Juan Yepez is playing first base for the Nationals while Stone Garrett gets a start at designated hitter.

Tena is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

It's a day off for the left-handed-hitting Tena with the Phillies starting southpaw Ranger Suarez. Ildemaro Vargas will start at third base and bat seventh.

The Marlins activated Baumann from the paternity list Friday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Baumann missed the series against the Twins earlier this week while welcoming a new addition to the family, but he will be back in the bullpen for the Marlins' final games of the season in Toronto. He has allowed 10 runs with a 17:4 K:BB over 12.1 innings during his time with Miami.

The Marlins placed Cronin on the 15-day injured list Friday with left knee tendinitis, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Cronin dealt with an undisclosed injury a few weeks ago, but it's unclear whether that was related to his current issue. The reliever's season will end with him having posted a 4.35 ERA and 72:25 K:BB over 70.1 innings covering 56 appearances.

Lindor (back) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Friday's game in Milwaukee, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Lindor had been slated to return to action Wednesday in Atlanta before that game got rained out. Instead, his eight-game absence will end Friday as the Mets open a series against the Brewers.

Marte is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.

After making four straight starts, Marte will take a seat for Friday's series opener in Milwaukee. Jesse Winker will fill right field while J.D. Martinez plays DH.

Triolo is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.

Triolo will yield to Connor Joe at first base Friday against Carlos Rodon and the Yankees. Since the start of September, Triolo is 20-for-76 (.263) with two homers, nine runs and eight RBI.
