Alexander didn't factor in the decision against Colorado on Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 3.2 innings.

Alexander was handed a 5-0 lead through three frames, but he wasn't able to go deep enough to qualify for the victory. The southpaw didn't allow Colorado to catch up, though he yielded constant traffic on the basepaths -- the Rockies put multiple runners on base in each of the four frames in which Alexander pitched. After impressing with 5.2 scoreless innings his previous trip to the mound, this was a bit of a disappointing step back for Alexander, though it was far from a disastrous outing since Milwaukee ended up winning in a 17-2 rout. There's a good chance Alexander will stick in the rotation, at least in the short term, given the Brewers have already been decimated by injuries to starting pitchers.

Riley went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday.

Riley accounted for Atlanta's only extra-base hit of the contest with his solo shot to left field in the seventh inning. The 417-foot homer tied the score at 3-3, but Philadelphia ultimately pulled out the win on the strength of a Trea Turner ninth-inning long ball. Riley's home run was his first since Opening Day, but he seems to be heating up after a tepid start to the campaign, as he's collected three multi-hit performances and racked up four RBI over his past four games.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in a 4-3 victory versus Atlanta on Wednesday.

Turner broke a 3-3 tie with his solo blast to left-center field in the ninth inning, and that run held up as the decisive margin of victory for the Phillies. It was a much-needed big hit for the veteran shortstop, as he entered play Wednesday with just one extra-base knock and one RBI through 33 plate appearances. Turner is off to a somewhat slow start to the campaign, but he has been impactful on the bases with four steals, and he holds a solid .395 OBP so far.

Harper went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks Wednesday in a 4-3 win against Atlanta.

Harper came up big for the Phillies in the seventh inning, crushing a two-run homer to center field to give the team a one-run lead. The star first baseman reached base three total times in the contest, and he's been able to get on base safely in all but one of his 11 games so far this season. Harper's long ball Wednesday was just his second this season, but he's been relatively productive with a .279/.380/.465 slash line, five RBI and seven runs.

Holmes completed four scoreless innings against Philadelphia on Wednesday, allowing three hits and issuing four walks while striking out six batters in a no-decision.

There were definitely positives to take away from Holmes' performance, as he notched 12 whiffs en route to six punchouts while holding the Phillies scoreless. However, the right-hander was very inefficient -- he needed 104 pitches to get through four innings due in part to issuing four free passes. Holmes has struggled with his control early in the campaign, handing out eight walks across his first nine innings, though he's also racked up 11 strikeouts in that span. His inability to complete more than four innings in his first two starts (he also has a one-inning relief appearance) isn't promising, but Holmes will likely stick in the rotation even when Spencer Strider (elbow) returns to the big-league club, given Reynaldo Lopez is set for an extended absence after undergoing shoulder surgery Tuesday.

Walker tossed 4.2 scoreless innings against Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing five hits and three walks while striking out five batters in a no-decision.

Walker followed his six-inning scoreless outing in his first start of the campaign with another no-run effort Wednesday. This time around, though, he wasn't as sharp, as he needed 94 pitches (only 53 of which were strikes) to get through 4.2 frames. Walker departed with two outs in the fifth after loading the bases on a single and two walks, but reliever Jose Ruiz was able to continue the shutout bid by getting Austin Riley to pop out. Walker has hurled 10.2 frames without yielding a run across his first two starts, and he'll look to extend the scoreless-inning streak his next time out, which lines up to be a home matchup against the Giants early next week.

Flores went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 extra-inning win over the Reds.

After lining an RBI single in the sixth frame, Flores tied the game at 6-6 with a solo homer off Reds right-hander Tony Santillan in the eighth inning. The veteran infielder is searching for a bounce-back campaign in 2025, and he's off to a fast start by batting .273 with five long balls, 14 RBI and seven runs scored over 44 at-bats (12 games) to open the season.

De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 8-6 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

De La Cruz's highlight of the day came on a two-run double to put the Reds in front 3-0 in the third inning. Wednesday marked the first multi-hit effort of the month for the dynamic infielder, who is slashing just .250/.291/.423 with two homers and three doubles over 55 plate appearances but has already piled up 12 RBI, eight runs scored and two stolen bases in 13 outings.

Abrams went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Abrams drove a high fastball by Landon Knack into right field and out of the yard to put the Nationals on the board in the first inning. The speedy shortstop has gone deep in four of his last seven outings, during which he's batting .296 with two doubles, six RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases over 27 at-bats.

Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Nationals.

Hernandez finished off a four-run first inning by the Dodgers with a two-run blast off Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin. Through 53 at-bats to open the campaign, the veteran slugger is batting .283 with five homers, 16 RBI, eight runs scored and two stolen bases in Los Angeles' loaded lineup.
