De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 8-6 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

De La Cruz's highlight of the day came on a two-run double to put the Reds in front 3-0 in the third inning. Wednesday marked the first multi-hit effort of the month for the dynamic infielder, who is slashing just .250/.291/.423 with two homers and three doubles over 55 plate appearances but has already piled up 12 RBI, eight runs scored and two stolen bases in 13 outings.

Abrams went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Abrams drove a high fastball by Landon Knack into right field and out of the yard to put the Nationals on the board in the first inning. The speedy shortstop has gone deep in four of his last seven outings, during which he's batting .296 with two doubles, six RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases over 27 at-bats.

Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Nationals.

Hernandez finished off a four-run first inning by the Dodgers with a two-run blast off Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin. Through 53 at-bats to open the campaign, the veteran slugger is batting .283 with five homers, 16 RBI, eight runs scored and two stolen bases in Los Angeles' loaded lineup.

Manager Derek Shelton said after Wednesday's game against St. Louis that Cruz wasn't in the lineup due to finger soreness.

Cruz took a pitch off his finger in the seventh inning of Tuesday's contest, and he was pinch hit for when his spot in the batting order came around again in the ninth. Shelton noted that the 26-year-old was still available to pinch run or act as a defensive sub Wednesday, but the team wanted to make sure he didn't hit as a precaution. The Pirates' off day Thursday will give Cruz an extra 24 hours to recover, and he'll look to return to the starting nine in Friday's series opener in Cincinnati.

Pagan (0-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Giants after giving up a two-run home run in the 10th inning.

Pagan came on to pitch the 10th inning in a 6-6 game, promptly allowing a two-run home run to Mike Yastrzemski after just two pitches as the Giants walked it off. The journeyman right-hander still holds a sharp 1.69 ERA, 0.59 WHIP and 3:1 K:BB with two saves over 5.1 innings this season, and he should continue sharing ninth-inning work alongside Tony Santillan as long as Alexis Diaz (hamstring) remains on the injured list.

Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers.

Suzuki collected half of Chicago's four hits as he continued a streak of strong performances. The outfielder now has three straight multi-hit games, and he's gone 7-for-11 overall during the hot stretch. For the season, Suzuki is now batting an even .300 to go along with a stellar .970 OPS, giving him plenty of fantasy appeal.

Alcantara will be reinstated from the paternity list Friday and is penciled in to make his next start Saturday against the Nationals, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Alcantara was originally set to start Sunday against Atlanta, but that game got rained out, and the right-hander went on the paternity list the next day. He'll get another day to rest after he returns to the active roster Friday, which will make Saturday's outing his first appearance in 12 days. He'll be welcomed back by a Washington offense that currently ranks 10th in the majors with a .722 OPS.

Naylor went 3-for-4 with a home run and three total RBI in Wednesday's 9-0 win over the Orioles.

Naylor opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the first inning before extending the lead to 5-0 with a homer off Dean Kremer in the fifth. While the home run was Naylor's first this season, he's gotten off to a nice start with Arizona, going 16-for-47 (.340) with a .929 OPS, nine RBI and three stolen bases through 13 games.

Carroll went 2-for-4 with a home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-0 win over the Orioles.

Carroll extended Arizona's lead to 2-0 in the third inning with a 413-foot blast off Dean Kremer, his fifth long ball of the year and his second in as many days. Carroll has been red hot at the plate recently, going 8-for-16 with five extra-base hits in his last four games. He's now slashing .320/.424/.740 with 11 runs scored and eight RBI through 13 contests this season.

Pfaadt (2-1) earned the win Wednesday over the Orioles, allowing four hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out three.

It was an impressive outing from Pfaadt, who's now won back-to-back starts while lowering his ERA to 3.50 through his first 18 innings. While the 26-year-old Pfaadt has yet to log more than five strikeouts in a start this year, he's posted an encouraging 2.1 percent walk rate. Pfaadt's currently lined up to face the Marlins on the road next week in his next outing.
