Smith went 2-for-6 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 14-12 loss to Colorado.

Smith has been on a roll the last week, going 10-for-25 (.400) with three doubles, two RBI and three runs scored over the last seven contests. It's an encouraging sign for Arizona's DH against right-handers, who endured a 13-game stretch during which he batted .065 (2-for-31) prior to his recent upswing.

Thomas went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 14-12 loss to Colorado.

Thomas launched his first home run of the season in the fourth inning, giving Arizona a 9-6 lead in a wild game at Chase Field. He's maintained a respectable batting average all season but has seen his impact wane since a productive opening. Saturday's homer was his first extra-base hit in eight games and his second RBI in the last 14 contests. Thomas is batting .283/.331/.400 with one home run, 15 RBI and 12 runs scored through 38 games.

Hodge worked around a hit to pitch a scoreless inning Saturday in a 7-3 win over the White Sox. He struck out one.

Hodge got some work for the first time in three days with the Cubs up four runs, so he was unable to qualify for his third save of the season. However, the righty did manage his second straight scoreless appearance, which comes on the heels of allowing three runs while retiring only one batter back on May 11. Hodge should continue to see save opportunities, though Drew Pomeranz recorded the team's last save Monday and veteran Ryan Pressly may reenter the mix at some point if he solves his early-season struggles.

Hoerner went 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored and an RBI in Saturday's 7-3 win over the White Sox. He also stole a base.

For the second straight game, Hoerner tallied two hits and a stolen base against the Cubs' crosstown rivals. He's now up to 10 steals on the season, and the infielder should continue to run frequently after swiping 31 bags in 2024. Hoerner is also helping fantasy managers with a .285 batting average, which is slightly ahead of his career .278 figure.

Petty didn't pitch in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Guardians after being expected to operate as the primary pitcher.

The right-hander was initially listed as Cincinnati's probable starter for Saturday, but the Reds made a late pivot and had Brent Suter open the game. Suter tossed three scoreless frames to lead off the game, but rather than turning to Petty after that, manager Terry Francona opted to have five other relievers finish out the win. The Reds will continue to have an opening in the rotation until Hunter Greene (groin) returns from the injured list, but Petty may not receive another start after getting lit up for 13 earned runs with a 7:8 K:BB in his first 5.1 big-league innings.

Pagan struck out one and didn't allow a baserunner in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Saturday's 4-1 win versus the Guardians.

The right-hander needed just 10 pitches to retire the heart of Cleveland's lineup and record his 11th save of the year. After a stretch in which Pagan gave up six earned runs in seven appearances, he's delivered two straight clean outings to begin the series against the Guardians. He's thrown just 26 pitches between the two appearances, but the fact Pagan has pitched in the past two games could affect his availability for Sunday's series finale.

Helsley picked up the save Saturday against the Royals. He didn't allow a baserunner or record a strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Helsley retired the side in order on 12 pitches as he delivered his sixth straight scoreless outing to tally his ninth save of the campaign. The right-hander's 1.44 WHIP is still a bit high, but overall he's been effective early in 2025 with a 2.81 ERA and 16:10 K:BB over 16 innings.

Mikolas (3-2) earned the win Saturday, allowing two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings against Kansas City. He struck out four.

Mikolas generated just three whiffs but worked efficiently, as he needed only 76 pitches (50 strikes) to get through six innings. It's the second quality start of the year for the right-hander, and he's gone 3-0 with a 1.30 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB across 27.2 frames in his past five starts. A home matchup with the Diamondbacks likely waits for him next weekend.

Suarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three total RBI against the Rockies in a loss Saturday.

Suarez hit a run-scoring single in the first inning, belted a solo homer to left field in the fourth and notched a sacrifice fly in the fifth. The veteran third baseman has racked up three RBI in each of his past three contests and now has driven in 37 runs this season, tied for fourth most in the majors. Suarez is also tied with teammate Corbin Carroll with 14 home runs and is well ahead of pace to finish with 30-plus long balls for the sixth time in his career.

Freeman went 4-for-5 with two runs scored in Saturday's 11-9 loss to the Angels.

Freeman has a pair of four-hit efforts over his last six games. He's batting .441 (26-for-59) over 15 contests in May, adding eight extra-base hits and 17 RBI. The first baseman's .375 batting average ranks second to only Aaron Judge (.402) through Saturday's action. Freeman has added a fantastic 1.115 OPS, nine home runs, 34 RBI, 26 runs scored and no stolen bases through 35 games as he continues to receive treatment on his surgically repaired right ankle. While that ongoing recovery will prevent him from making much of an impact with speed, he's more than made up for it with his elite and dependable bat.
