Vasquez (9-6) earned the win Friday against Minnesota, allowing two runs on two hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out three.

The right-hander worked in bulk relief his previous time out, but he started Friday's contest and completed seven frames for the second time this season. Vasquez hasn't been tagged with a loss since late June, and in nine appearances (five starts) during that span he's gone 3-0 with a 3.65 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB across 37 innings. Even when the 27-year-old is pitching well, the lack of strikeout potential and inconsistent role limit his fantasy upside.

Crow-Armstrong went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Crow-Armstrong did some early work, ending the nine-pitch opening at-bat with a homer. This was his career-best 32nd long ball of the season and his fifth over his last five games. The star outfielder is now batting .279 with a .932 OPS, 80 RBI, 91 runs scored, 31 stolen bases, 25 doubles and seven triples over 129 contests. Crow-Armstrong has had a little less consistency in August, batting .260 (20-for-77) over 19 games this month, but he's also hit a quarter of his homers this year in that span.

Bregman went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Bregman homered in the first and ninth innings, ending a seven-game stretch without a long ball. The third baseman's big performance still wasn't enough for the Cubs, but it was a positive to see him get back on track in the power department. For the year, Bregman is batting .258 with a .765 OPS, 18 homers, 66 RBI, 71 runs scored, 24 doubles, one triple and three stolen bases over 126 contests.

Boyd allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Friday.

Boyd's troubles with the long ball continued -- he gave up one homer, a three-run blast to Cal Raleigh, as the Mariners rallied ahead in the second inning to answer the Cubs' hot start. That's now eight homers allowed in August for Boyd after he allowed just six long balls across his first 12 appearances of the year. The southpaw is at a 4.15 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 71:28 K:BB through 91 innings over 16 games this season. His next start is projected to come in Arizona.

Fernandez went 1-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 9-0 win over the Reds.

Fernandez has now started at third base in four consecutive games while Nolan Arenado is limited to serving as the designated hitter. Fernandez has gone 5-for-13 over those games, so he could end up hitting his way into a more permanent spot in the infield. For the year, he's batting .264 with a .672 OPS, three home runs, eight steals, 16 RBI, 25 runs scored and nine doubles over 193 plate appearances.

Tawa went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 9-0 win over the Reds.

Tawa recorded his fourth multi-hit effort over his last nine games. He has been productive at the plate in August, batting .288 (21-for-73) this month while adding nine RBI and five steals over his last 19 contests. Overall, he's hitting .240 with a .687 OPS, seven home runs, seven steals, 30 RBI, 24 runs scored and 10 doubles across 72 games.

Moreno went 2-for-5 with one RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 9-0 win over the Reds.

The Diamondbacks showed no hesitation to run early in this contest, and even the catcher got involved. Moreno hadn't swiped a bag or even made an attempt to since June 12, a game that also came against the Reds. He's on a 14-game hitting streak, going 22-for-59 (.373) in that span. For the season, Moreno is batting .308 with an .854 OPS, 10 home runs, five steals, 63 RBI, 55 runs scored, 26 doubles and one triple over 100 contests. This is already a career year in most areas for Moreno, and he will tie his career high in steals if he records one more.

Carroll went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 9-0 win over the Reds.

Carroll has two steals over three attempts over his last five games. The star outfielder is 18-for-21 on the basepaths this season. His numbers are mostly down across the board compared to last year -- Carroll is batting .248 with an .834 OPS, 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 80 runs scored, 27 doubles and 15 triples over 125 contests. He's been a little more consistent in August, batting .257 (18-for-70) with a 12:14 BB:K this month.

Perdomo went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 9-0 win over the Reds.

Perdomo has a multi-hit effort in each of Arizona's Friday games during August. Since he racked up four hits last Friday, he had gone just 1-for-17 at the plate over the following five games before breaking out of the slump with this effort. Perdomo is hitting .248 with a .733 OPS, nine home runs, 44 RBI, 61 runs scored, 18 doubles, six triples and 17 stolen bases over 124 contests.

Lawlar went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a third RBI and two total runs scored in Friday's 9-0 win over the Reds.

Lawlar had the Diamondbacks' lone homer in this blowout win. He had gone 0-for-10 with five strikeouts over three games after returning from a two-month absence due to a hamstring strain. Lawlar has the inside track for starts in center field, but that could change if he struggles to find consistency at the plate. He's batting .283 with a .790 OPS, two homers, seven RBI, eight runs scored, two doubles and four stolen bases over 16 contests in the majors this season.
