The Dodgers activated Yates (hamstring) off the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Yates went on the IL due to a hamstring injury May 18 and didn't end up needing a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated. The veteran reliever should immediately move back to a high-leverage role in the Dodgers' bullpen and could get some save chances with Tanner Scott having some uneven outings of late and the team not committed to a full-time closer. Yates' activation was part of a series of pitching roster moves by Los Angeles on Saturday, as the club also activated Michael Kopech (shoulder) from the 60-day IL, designated reliever Chris Stratton for assignment and placed starter Tony Gonsolin (elbow) on the 15-day injured list.

Kopech missed the first two-plus months of the campaign after developing a shoulder impingement during spring training. The righty reliever began participating in minor-league rehab games in mid-May and posted an 8.53 ERA and 2.21 WHIP over 6.1 innings across nine appearances, though he gave up just one run in four frames over his final five rehab outings. Kopech could regain a high-leverage in the Dodgers' bullpen, though the team may elect to bring him along slowly considering the amount of time he missed. To make room on the 40-man roster for Kopech, Los Angeles designated fellow reliever Chris Stratton for assignment.

The Dodgers placed Gonsolin on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to right elbow discomfort, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Gonsolin last started Wednesday when he allowed three runs (two earned) over five innings in a loss to the Mets. The right-hander began the campaign on the IL due to a back injury, but this is the first word of Gonsolin dealing with an elbow issue. It's unclear how Los Angeles will immediately replace Gonsolin in the rotation, as the team activated a pair of relievers -- Michael Kopech (shoulder) and Kirby Yates (hamstring) -- from the IL on Saturday.

Lee isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup versus Atlanta, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Lee will begin on the bench for the second time in San Francisco's past seven games. The rest day doesn't seem to be performance-related, as Lee has reached base safely eight times (on four hits and four walks) over his past three contests. With Lee out of the lineup Saturday, rookie Daniel Johnson is starting in center field and batting leadoff.

The Marlins optioned Soriano to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

Soriano was called up from Jacksonville on Tuesday and got into one game while he was with Miami, allowing one run on four hits while striking out two batters over two innings against Tampa Bay on Friday. The righty reliever will now return to the minors to make room on the Marlins' roster for Connor Gillispie, who was recalled in a corresponding move.

The Marlins recalled Gillispie from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

Gillispie struggled with Miami earlier this season, posting an 8.65 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB over 26 innings while going 0-3 across six starts. He was sent to the minors in late April and has posted a 4.38 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 17:12 K:BB over 24.2 frames across six outings (five starts) with Jacksonville. Currently, the Marlins' starter for Sunday's matchup versus the Rays is listed as TBD, so Gillispie could take that turn in the rotation.

Cruz is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.

Cruz's last day off was May 19 -- since then he started 16 straight games and posted a .902 OPS with four home runs and six stolen bases, albeit with a 34.7 percent strikeout rate. The exciting center fielder will rest to begin Saturday's matchup while Alexander Canario starts in center. Meanwhile, second baseman Nick Gonzales is sliding up to the leadoff spot typically occupied by Cruz.

Cardinals manager Oli Marmol has confirmed that McGreevy will be called up from the minors to start Sunday's game against the Dodgers, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

McGreevy was effective in his lone major-league outing this season, tossing 5.2 scoreless frames with five strikeouts, one walk and just one hit allowed against the Mets on May 4. The right-hander has also fared well with Triple-A Memphis, posting a 2.78 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 58:12 K:BB over 55 innings. Marmol indicated Saturday that McGreevy's spot with the big club won't be a one-off this time around, per John Denton of MLB.com.

Walker picked up a blown save in Friday's 5-4 extra-inning win over Atlanta, allowing two earned runs on three hits -- including one home run -- while striking out one over 1.1 innings.

Walker struck out the lone batter he faced in the sixth inning. However, he struggled in the seventh, surrendering a single and a two-run homer to the first two batters he faced. The right-hander threw 18 of his 27 pitches for strikes, marking his highest pitch count this season. Walker has appeared in five games since being removed from the closer role, during which he has been charged with three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out two across 3.2 innings.

Bivens (2-2) picked up the win in one-third of a scoreless 10th inning during Friday's 5-4 extra-inning victory over Atlanta.

The 30-year-old was in the right place at the right time Friday, retiring Atlanta's final batter before Tyler Fitzgerald scored the game-winning run for the Giants in the bottom of the 10th. Bivens now owns a 3.07 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB across 29.1 innings in 19 games this season.
