Pratt is slashing .239/.331/.351 with four home runs, 13 steals, a 10.1 percent walk rate and a 15.1 percent strikeout rate in 54 games for Double-A Biloxi.

Pratt's 27.5 percent hard-hit rate is actually pretty strong, especially for a young shortstop at Double-A, but Pratt has managed just one home run while hitting .223 over his last 36 games. Pratt is the fifth-youngest qualified hitter at Double-A, as he won't turn 21 until August. Given the strength of his hit tool and the fact he isn't an extreme groundball hitter (40.6 GB% at Double-A), Pratt should access more game power as he adds strength to his 6-foot-3, 206-pound frame.

Chandler gave up one earned run on zero hits and four walks while recording just two outs in Wednesday's start for Triple-A Indianapolis.

Chandler now has three four-walk starts in his past seven, logging a 3.81 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 34:19 K:BB in 26 innings over that stretch. The young fireballer was dominant in his first six starts of the year (1.42 ERA, 0.67 WHIP, 36:7 K:BB in 25.1 IP), but it's possible he's trying too hard to force a promotion from Triple-A. Regardless, it doesn't seem like a promotion is imminent after he walked in a run and failed to complete the first inning Wednesday.

Bird struck out five batters over two perfect innings of relief in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Giants.

Though he has yet to record a save this season, Bird has quietly emerged as an indispensable piece in the Colorado bullpen. He hasn't allowed an earned run in any of his last 10 appearances and has been scored upon just three times in 22 outings dating back to April 15. Over that span, Bird owns a 1.16 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 41:8 K:BB while collecting one win and seven holds in 31 innings. With both Zach Agnos and Seth Halvorsen having faltered in their recent late-inning opportunities, it wouldn't be surprising if Bird was called upon for a save chance in the near future, though the 12-55 Rockies haven't had many leads to protect all season.

Law (forearm) threw a successful simulated game Wednesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

He's slated for two more simulated games on Saturday and Tuesday. If that goes well, Law will then head out on a rehab assignment. The veteran reliever has been sidelined all season with a right forearm strain but finally appears to have turned the corner in his recovery.

The Rockies plan to activate Gomber (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list to have him start Sunday in Atlanta, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Colorado's decision to option No. 5 starter Carson Palmquist to Triple-A Albuquerque earlier Thursday seemed to signal that Gomber was on track to rejoin the rotation, and the 31-year-old has now been confirmed to make his 2025 debut with Colorado this weekend. After experiencing shoulder soreness in spring training, Gomber was expected to be in line for a brief absence to begin the season, but he had a setback coming out of a March 28 rehab outing with Albuquerque that extended his stay on the IL. He was cleared to resume his assignment earlier this month and has looked sharp in his starts with Double-A Hartford and Albuquerque, covering eight innings and striking out eight while allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks between those two outings. He tossed 69 pitches in his latest appearance Tuesday and should be ready to handle something close to a typical starter's workload Sunday.

The Brewers transferred Woodruff (shoulder/elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Jacob Misiorowski, who has been called up to make his major-league debut Thursday. It does not change Woodruff's timetable, as he has already missed 60-plus days and recently had a setback on his rehab assignment when he was struck in the pitching elbow by a comebacker. Woodruff hasn't resumed throwing and will need a couple more rehab starts before being considered for the Brewers' rotation.

The Brewers optioned McGee to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday.

McGee was with the big club for a couple days, allowing one run over three innings in his lone appearance Wednesday versus Atlanta. He's clearing out to make room on the roster for the arrival of Jacob Misiorowski.

The Brewers selected Misiorowski's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Thursday.

Misiorowski is set to make his major-league debut Thursday with a start against the division-rival Cardinals. The 6-foot-7 right-hander earned a call-up after collecting a 2.13 ERA and 80:31 K:BB over 63.1 innings with Nashville. Misiorowski has dealt with control problems at times in the minors, but he has big strikeout upside and warrants rostership in virtually all fantasy formats.

Freeman is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Giants.

Mickey Moniak will receive the start in right field Thursday, but Freeman seems to have at least temporarily supplanted him as the Rockies' preferred option at the position against both right- and left-handed pitching. Freeman had started in each of the Rockies' first nine games of June, going 12-for-27 (.444 average) with one home run, two stolen bases and a 4:0 BB:K.

Hiura is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Giants.

Hiura will take a seat for the series finale after starting at first base and going 1-for-5 with an RBI in the Rockies' first two matchups with the Giants. Orlando Arcia will fill in for Hiura at first base Thursday.
