Dodgers' Max Muncy: Hits homer in win

Muncy went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run during Friday's 5-4 win over the Royals.

Muncy has been running hot at the plate. Including Friday's effort, he is 7-for-16 with four home runs and 15 RBI over his last four games, carrying the load for a Dodgers squad that has won five games in a row. The 34-year-old is up to 53 RBI while slashing .251/.377/.465 on the season.

  • Padres' Logan Gillaspie: In midst of rehab assignment

Gillaspie (oblique) began a minor-league rehab stint June 17 and has thrown 5.2 scoreless innings with a 5:0 K:BB over three appearances.

Gillaspie pitched in three games with San Diego in April before landing on the injured list April 27 due to an oblique strain. The right-hander has thrown more than one frame in each of his three rehab outings so far, and he appears to be prepping for a multi-inning middle-relief role upon his potential return to the Padres. Gillaspie could be ready for activation at some point in July.

  • Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Leads off game in style

Ohtani went 2-for-3 with a triple, a home run, two walks and two RBI during Friday's 5-4 win over the Royals.

The 29th home run of Ohtani's season led off the game, and he added his seventh triple of the season as well. The 30-year-old has now had at least one hit in five straight games, going 7-for-17 over that stretch with two triples, four home runs and 10 RBI. The reigning NL MVP is putting together another fantastic campaign, slashing .295/.396/.649 in 81 games this year.

  • Dustin May SP | STL

Dodgers' Dustin May: Battles to no-decision

May took a no-decision after throwing four innings, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three in Friday's 5-4 win over the Royals.

May battled through his shortest start of the season. Walks were again an issue for the 27-year-old -- after three more walks against the Royals, he has now walked 13 batters over his last four starts. It will be interesting to see how the right-hander will hold up over the second half of the season, as he's already up to over 82 innings on the year, well past his previous career high of 56 innings.

  • Juan Soto LF | NYM

Mets' Juan Soto: Continues to mash in June

Soto went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 9-1 loss to Pittsburgh.

Soto was responsible for the Mets' lone run, as he took Mitch Keller deep to center field for a 416-foot solo home run. Soto is the fourth player to reach 20 home runs this season, 11 of which have come since the beginning of June. His performance at the plate this month has increased his OPS to .911 across 363 plate appearances, which is tied with Kyle Tucker for ninth best in the majors among qualified hitters.

  • David Peterson SP | CHC

Mets' David Peterson: Gives up five runs in loss

Peterson (5-4) took the loss against the Pirates on Friday, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five across 4.2 innings.

Peterson yielded four of his five runs in the second inning, with the Pirates driving in runs in four consecutive plate appearances, and he didn't get enough run support to escape with the no-decision. Peterson strung together seven quality starts in eight outings after the beginning of May, but he has given up five earned runs in back-to-back appearances, which has inflated his numbers to a 3.30 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 83:34 K:BB across 95.1 innings. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, which is lined up for next week at home against the Brewers.

  • Spencer Steer 1B | CIN

Reds' Spencer Steer: Smashes career-high three home runs

Steer went 3-for-4 with three home runs and four RBI in Friday's 8-1 win over the Padres.

Steer blasted a career-high three long balls, and it was also his second career multi-homer effort. The first baseman has begun to settle in at the dish following a sluggish start to the season, which saw him bat .185 and slug .285 over his first 34 games. Across his last 154 plate appearances (41 outings), Steer is slashing a healthy .308/.338/.507 with 16 extra-base hits, 20 RBI, 13 runs scored and three stolen bases.

  • Tommy Pham LF | NYM

Pirates' Tommy Pham: Drives in two runs

Pham went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 9-1 win over the Mets.

Pham capped off a four-run second inning with a fielder's choice RBI before driving in a run on a single to center field in the seventh. Pham has logged at least one hit in each of his last four games, going 8-for-15 (.533) with two doubles, one home run and eight RBI over that span.

  • Bryan Reynolds LF | PIT

Pirates' Bryan Reynolds: Smacks three-run homer

Reynolds went 3-for-5 with a double, a three-run homer and an additional run scored during Friday's 9-1 win over the Mets.

Reynolds crossed home plate in the fifth before extending the Pirates' lead to seven runs in the sixth on a three-run homer to right field off Blade Tidwell. Reynolds has struggled at the plate for most of June, but he has started to heat up and has four multi-hit games over his last five starts.

  • Mitch Keller SP | PIT

Pirates' Mitch Keller: Captures second win of 2025

Keller (2-10) earned the win against the Mets on Friday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out four across 5.1 innings.

Keller allowed one baserunner or zero in each of the first five innings he pitched, with his lone blemish coming in the fourth, when he yielded a solo home run to Juan Soto. Keller has given up three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his last 11 starts, but he was finally able to get run support from the Pirates batters and came away with his first win since March 28. Keller now has a 3.90 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 77:25 K:BB across 99.1 innings this season. He'll look for his third win in his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Cardinals.
