  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Reds' Gavin Lux: Idle against southpaw

Lux is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

With southpaw Austin Gomber on the mound for Colorado, the left-handed-hitting Lux will take a seat after he started in each of the Reds' last seven games. Lux will give up his spot in the lineup to Santiago Espinal, who starts at third base while Noelvi Marte serves as the Reds' designated hitter.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Rockies' Orlando Arcia: Retreating to bench Sunday

Arcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Arcia had picked up starts in the middle infield in three of the Rockies' previous four games, but he'll head to the bench Sunday even while second baseman Thairo Estrada (thumb) remains out of the lineup. Estrada will likely be ready to go for the start of the Rockies' second-half slate, and shortstop Ezequiel Tovar (oblique) could also be activated from the injured list coming out of the All-Star break. Arcia is batting .188 with two home runs and five RBI in 27 games since signing with Colorado in late May.

  • Austin Warren RP | NYM

Mets' Austin Warren: Sent back to Triple-A

The Mets optioned Warren to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

After serving as the Mets' 27th man in Thursday's doubleheader with the Orioles, Warren was returned to Triple-A on Friday before being recalled later that day. He didn't end up making an appearance over the last two days and will once again return to the minors, this time to clear a spot on the active roster for Sean Manaea (elbow/oblique).

  • James Wood RF | WAS

Nationals' James Wood: Long starting streak ends

Wood is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

After starting 174 consecutive games to begin his tenure with the Nationals, Wood will receive his first day off in more than a year while he preps for a busy week in Atlanta, where he'll be participating in the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game. He's also in the midst of a 3-for-29 slump since a five-hit game July 3 versus Detroit. Alex Call will spell Wood in left field in the Nationals' final game of the first half.

  • Jordan Beck LF | COL

Rockies' Jordan Beck: Not in Sunday's lineup

Beck is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Beck started the previous four games and will hit the bench Sunday after going 4-for-15 with a walk and six strikeouts. Yanquiel Fernandez will receive a start in left field and bat sixth in the first-half finale.

  • Tink Hence RP | STL

Cardinals' Tink Hence: Back on IL at Double-A

Hence (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Springfield on Saturday.

Hence didn't make his season debut until late May as he recovered from a right rib cage strain, but it's not clear whether this latest trip to the IL is a recurrence or a different injury. The 22-year-old has been limited to just 21.1 innings in 2025, allowing five runs with a 14:6 K:BB over 10.2 frames during his time with Springfield.

  • Rockies' Hunter Goodman: On bench for first-half finale

Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Goodman started the first two games of the series in Cincinnati and will take a seat Sunday after going 1-for-6 with two walks, a triple and a run. Austin Nola will step in behind the plate to catch Austin Gomber for the final game before the All-Star break.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Absence continuing Sunday

Estrada (thumb) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Estrada suffered the thumb injury in Monday's loss to the Red Sox and will head into the All-Star break having sat out five straight games. The 29-year-old seemed to have avoided a serious injury when he had X-rays come back negative, so he should be good to go for the start of the second half Friday versus Minnesota.

  • Eric Wagaman 1B | NYM

    Marlins' Eric Wagaman: Resting Sunday

Wagaman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Wagaman will hit the bench after he had started at first base each of the previous four games while going 1-for-13 with two walks. Liam Hicks will cover first base in Wagaman's stead.

  • Graham Pauley 3B | MIA

Marlins' Graham Pauley: Moves up to majors

The Marlins recalled Pauley from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday. He'll start at third base and bat eighth in the Marlins' series finale versus the Orioles.

The 24-year-old will fill in for Connor Norby (wrist), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. While Norby is on the shelf, Pauley could end up seeing the bulk of the stars at the hot corner, though the Marlins may shield him from left-handed pitching. Pauley posted a poor .545 OPS In 89 plate appearances with Miami earlier this season but had been sporting a hot bat at Triple-A prior to his latest call-up, slashing .395/.452/.789 with four home runs over his last 10 games for Jacksonville.
