Palencia tossed 1.1 scoreless innings of relief with a strikeout to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 win over the White Sox.

Palencia got the last out of the bottom of the eighth inning, ending a three-run White Sox rally, and then breezed through the ninth for his 14th save of the year in 15 chances. The righty has been particularly good lately, as he's now rattled off 10 straight appearances without allowing any earned runs. That's allowed Palencia to lower his ERA to a sparkling 1.43, and he's cemented his status as the Cubs' closer, with the likes of Ryan Pressly, Caleb Thielbar, Drew Pomeranz and Ryan Brasier working in setup roles.

Bogaerts went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-2 victory over the Cardinals.

The San Diego shortstop produced his team's eighth run of the contest when he launched a 375-foot long ball off St. Louis reliever Andre Granillo in the seventh. Bogaerts has been a steady performer in July, hitting .292 (24-for-82) with two homers, three steals, 10 runs scored and six RBI across 22 games. Through 423 total plate appearances, the 32-year-old is slashing .265/.339/.383 with 16 steals, 45 runs scored and 36 RBI.

Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 win over the White Sox

Hoerner extended his hitting streak to five games, and he's now batting .353 in nine contests following the All-Star break. The speedy infielder has been an effective leadoff option against lefties recently, and while he batted eighth Sunday with the White Sox starting righty Grant Taylor, Hoerner still managed to make a fantasy impact. He's a reliable option in all formats, particularly due to his ability to swipe bases, as he has 19 steals this season in 22 attempts.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Sunday's 5-4 win over the White Sox. He also stole a base.

Crow-Armstrong continued his strong second half of the season, as he recorded at least one hit for the seventh time in eight games following the All-Star break. In this stretch, the young outfielder is batting .313 with nine extra-base knocks and two stolen bases, pushing him to 29 steals for the year to go along with 27 home runs. Crow-Armstrong is having an MVP-caliber campaign, and he's been an elite fantasy contributor.

McGreevy (2-2) suffered the loss Sunday against the Padres, allowing seven runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.2 innings with two strikeouts.

After some shaky defense behind him in a first inning that saw two San Diego runs score on two hits, a walk and an error, McGreevy was never able to fully right the ship in this contest. The St. Louis right-hander wound up conceding a career-worst nine base knocks (three doubles and six singles) in this 99-pitch outing. Across 33 total frames, he now sports a 4.91 ERA, 3.27 FIP, 1.21 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB. The 25-year-old is currently slated to face the Padres again in his next start on the road next weekend.

Kolek (4-5) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over six innings to pick up the win Sunday at St. Louis. He struck out two.

The San Diego righty limited the Cardinals offense to just one extra-base hit -- an Alec Burleson two-run homer in the sixth -- as he looked sharp in this 98-pitch appearance. This marks the fourth quality start of the season for Kolek, who should remain in the rotation for another turn given this performance. He'll carry a 4.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 56:26 K:BB across 79.2 frames into a rematch with the Cardinals at home next weekend.

Machado went 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI in Sunday's 9-2 win at St. Louis.

The San Diego third baseman is now riding a streak of five games with multiple hits, as he knocked his 26th and 27th two-baggers of the season off Cardinals starter Michael McGreevy. This performance marks the 25th time Machado has collected four or more hits in a game during his 14-year career. The seven-time All-Star is now slashing .300/.360/.506 with 19 homers, 66 RBI and 61 runs scored in 453 total plate appearances.

Schmitt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Schmitt will take a seat for the second Sunday in a row, breaking a streak of four consecutive starts. Brett Wisely will check in at second base in place of Schmitt.

Vientos is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Vientos went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's win over San Francisco to extend his hit streak to six games, but he's not in the starting nine for Sunday's series finale. Starling Marte will bat sixth as the designated hitter against Giants lefty Matt Gage, who is serving as an opener ahead of righty Carson Seymour.
