Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen: Cleared for mound work
Gallen (shoulder) is expected to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Gallen showed up at the ballpark Monday and played catch two days after being removed from his start in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Padres. The right-hander expects to make his next start, which will likely come Friday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Adrian Del Castillo C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Adrian Del Castillo: Returns to action
Del Castillo started at designated hitter and went 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in Tuesday's 11-2 loss to the Brewers.
Del Castillo, who was removed from the team's previous game Sunday due to a finger injury, only needed Monday's off day to get back in the lineup. He's hit a recent dry spell, going 1-for-16 over the last five contests, which dropped his average to .224 through 14 games.

Tyler Black 2B | MIL
Brewers' Tyler Black: Drives in three in three-hit night
Black went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 13-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Black turned in a strong performance at the plate, recording hits in three straight innings, including a two-run single in the fifth that helped spark Milwaukee's big offensive night. The outing marked his first career multi-RBI game in 26 MLB appearances. Since being recalled, Black has made an immediate impact, going 5-for-13 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Gets minimal run support in defeat
Ohtani (2-1) took the loss against Miami on Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out nine batters over six innings.
Ohtani was his own worst enemy in the second inning, as he hit Agustin Ramirez with a pitch and subsequently committed a throwing error to gift the Marlins a run. The two-way star yielded just one more run -- only his second earned run allowed so far this season -- the rest of the way, but the usually potent Dodgers offense was able to muster up just one run of support. Ohtani wasn't his sharpest Tuesday, especially in terms of control (his four walks were a season high), but he still pitched very well with 13 whiffs, nine punchouts and his fifth consecutive quality start to begin the campaign. Ohtani didn't serve as a hitter Tuesday, and Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said before the game that the team could occasionally hold Ohtani out from hitting on days he pitches throughout the campaign, per Jack Harris of the California Post. If that happens often enough, it could have a small impact on Ohtani's offensive stats, though it may also help him continue his dominance on the mound. As it stands, he's been one of baseball's most effective hurlers in the early portion of the season, recording a 0.60 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 34:9 K:BB through 30 innings.

Tyler Phillips SP | MIA
Marlins' Tyler Phillips: Logs save sans Fairbanks
Phillips recorded a save against the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing one hit over one scoreless inning. He didn't walk or strike out any batters.
With Pete Fairbanks (hand) landing on the injured list earlier Tuesday, Miami turned to Phillips in the ninth inning while holding a one-run lead. The right-hander got the job done, working around a one-out infield single to prevent Los Angeles from catching up. Phillips blew a save chance one day earlier, but it's hard to blame him for that, as he inherited a one-out, bases-loaded situation after Fairbanks exited with his injury. The Marlins may ultimately opt for a committee approach to closer while Fairbanks is sidelined, but Phillips figures to factor into the mix for save chances during that time, as he's posted a strong 1.47 ERA along with a 1.36 WHIP and 19:12 K:BB with two saves through 18.1 innings spanning 10 appearances this season.

Janson Junk RP | MIA
Marlins' Janson Junk: Logs another scoreless outing
Junk (2-2) earned the win over the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing three hits and issuing one walk while striking out four batters over six scoreless innings.
Junk thoroughly handled the Dodgers' talented offense, holding Los Angeles without an extra-base hit. He escaped a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the first inning and then breezed through his remaining five frames, as the Dodgers were unable to get another runner to second base while he was in the game. Junk has won each of his past two starts, tossing a combined 11 scoreless innings during that span. The right-hander's lack of strikeouts (he has just 21 punchouts through 33 frames on the campaign) limits his fantasy appeal, but Junk has otherwise put up good numbers this season, registering a 3.00 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through six starts. He's lined up to next face the Phillies at home.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Continues strong start to season
Bogaerts went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs.
Bogaerts plated the Padres' first run with a solo blast to left field in the second inning. It was his fifth home run through 28 contests on the campaign, which is nearly half as many as the 11 he knocked across 136 regular-season games last year. Bogaerts has added a .286/.364/.448 slash line and three stolen bases, making him a mildly pleasant surprise for fantasy managers who roster him.

Pete Crow-Armstrong CF | CHC
Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong: Snaps homer drought Tuesday
Crow-Armstrong went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run and a walk in an 8-3 win against the Padres on Tuesday.
Crow-Armstrong provided Chicago with a trio of insurance runs in the seventh inning with a 410-foot blast to center field. The long ball was his first since April 7 -- a span of 19 games. Crow-Armstrong went deep 31 times during the regular season last year, but he's hit just two home runs through 30 games so far in 2026. He's added 10 RBI, 18 runs, six stolen bases and a .241/.309/.339 slash line.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Padres' Walker Buehler: Doesn't complete five frames again
Buehler tossed 4.2 innings against the Cubs on Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four batters in a no-decision.
Buehler didn't give up a destructive number of runs, but he tossed just 48 of 92 pitches for strikes and was pulled before he could complete five innings. It was the second straight start and fourth time through six outings this season that the veteran righty has been unable to go five frames. Buehler has pitched to a poor 5.40 ERA and 1.56 WHIP with a 24:12 K:BB through 25 innings, but he's remained in the injury-plagued Padres rotation. With that said, San Diego signed Lucas Giolito to a contract last week, and Griffin Canning (Achilles) is in the midst of a rehab stint, so it's fair to wonder if Buehler will be able to hold on to his starting spot when those hurlers join the big-league club.

Sal Frelick RF | MIL
Brewers' Sal Frelick: Reaches four times, homers in win
Frelick went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and three runs scored in Tuesday's 13-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Frelick turned in one of his best games of the season so far, reaching base all four times he came to the plate. The outfielder led off the second inning with a solo homer off Merrill Kelly, his second of the season and first since he homered Opening Day. Despite the impressive performance, Frelick has struggled in April, entering the game batting .203 with an 8:10 BB:K during the month. He's now slashing .217/.323/.313 with two doubles, eight RBI and 14 runs scored across 100 plate appearances.
