The Mariners promoted Emerson from Double-A Arkansas to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Divish notes that Tacoma needed help in the infield, so Emerson is in line for his first taste of Triple-A. He's been scorching hot for Double-A Arkansas of late, as he was riding a nine-game hitting streak prior to his promotion. Emerson will finish his time at Arkansas with a .282/.360/.430 slash line with three home runs and seven stolen bases in 161 plate appearances.

Blubaugh will start Tuesday's game against the Rangers in Houston, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Blubaugh will be taking the hill on three days' rest, but because he tossed just one inning and 19 pitches in his relief appearance in Friday's 11-3 win over Atlanta, he should be relatively fresh. Prior to that appearance, Blubaugh covered 3.1 frames in a Sept. 9 relief outing in Toronto, so he should be able to provide some length in his upcoming start. He's made four appearances for Houston through the first few weeks of September, firing eight scoreless innings while striking out nine and walking three.

Alvarez is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his left ankle Tuesday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

The results of Alvarez's imaging will presumably determine whether he'll require a stint on the injured list. He exited Monday's matchup against the Rangers after slipping on home plate and was later diagnosed with a left ankle sprain. It's also worth noting that he was spotted leaving the clubhouse on crutches and wearing a walking boot, per Chandler Rome of The Athletic. Zach Cole would be next in line for chances in left field if Alvarez is ultimately forced to the IL.

Mangum went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 2-1 extra-innings loss to the Blue Jays.

The Tampa Bay outfielder nabbed second off Toronto reliever Jeff Hoffman in the ninth to become the third Rays player to reach the 25-steal mark this season (following Jose Caballero and Chandler Simpson). Since the All-Star break, Mangum has been a regular in the lineup, playing roughly 85 percent of the time (45 out of the team's 53 games) and hitting .273 (41-for-150) with 12 stolen bases, 13 runs scored and eight RBI. Overall, he is now slashing .295/.332/.363 with 36 runs scored and 36 RBI in 387 plate appearances.

Fisher (7-0) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, to pick up the win in Monday's 2-1 extra-innings contest against the Rays. He struck out four.

Fisher worked a scoreless 10th and then returned with a one-run lead in the 11th to slam the door on the win. The Toronto righty has been dynamic out of the bullpen this season, producing a 2.78 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 60:16 K:BB over 45.1 total frames. Despite being in a middle-relief role, Fisher is an intriguing fantasy option down the stretch for those looking to protect pitching ratios.

Hanifee was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, per MLB's transactions log.

Hanifee will retreat to the minors after spending the last month with Detroit. During that time, he posted a 2.35 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with five strikeouts over 7.2 frames. Brant Hurter was recalled in a corresponding move.

Boyle took a no-decision in Monday's 2-1 extra-innings loss to Toronto, allowing three hits and no walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Boyle was recalled from Triple-A Durham for this start and posted arguably the best performance of his three-year career against the division-leading Blue Jays. The right-handed flamethrower generated a respectable 11 whiffs out of his 78 total pitches to notch his first quality start of the season. Across 42.2 total frames, Boyle now sports a 4.64 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 44:21 K:BB. If he remains in the rotation, his next start would line up to either come against Boston at home this weekend or on the road at Baltimore early next week.

Yesavage took a no-decision in Monday's extra-innings win at Tampa Bay, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out nine.

The rookie right-hander set a new Blue Jays record by notching nine punchouts in his MLB debut. Yesavage featured a three-pitch mix anchored by a four-seam fastball that averaged 94.6 mph. The East Carolina product generated an astounding 19 whiffs out of his 69 total pitches, living up to the hype generated by his 41.4 percent K-rate in 98 minor-league innings across four stops. The only blemish on Yesavage's line was scored via a Yandy Diaz RBI double in the first. Given the positives from this performance, the 22-year-old is likely to stick in the Toronto rotation and could line up to pitch this weekend at Kansas City.

Hurter was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Monday, per MLB's transactions log.

Hurter missed time at the end of August due to a back injury, but he's since returned to health and will now get a chance to help the major-league team down the stretch of the regular season. He's performed well in his last 10 appearances for Detroit, posting a 1.20 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over 15.0 innings.

Alvarez left Monday's game against Texas with a left ankle sprain, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Alvarez suffered the injury while crossing home plate and was unable to continue. The club has yet to comment on whether he'll require a trip to the injured list, though more information on his availability moving forward should come to light over the next day or so.
