Chase DeLauter RF | CLE
Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Out again with wrist issue
DeLauter (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Baltimore.
He's missing a fourth straight contest due to a sprained right wrist. DeLauter reported improvement pregame Monday and seems to be trending toward avoiding the injured list. However, with the Guardians having an off day looming Thursday, it wouldn't be a surprise if DeLauter remains out until Friday. Angel Martinez will be in right field, and Jo Adell will serve as the designated hitter Tuesday.

Austin Martin LF | MIN
Twins' Austin Martin: Set for rehab games
Martin (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.
Martin is ready to test things out in a game setting after missing the last three-plus weeks with a strained left hamstring. The Twins are idle Thursday before beginning a homestand Friday, and Martin should be activated at some point during that homestand.

Wade Meckler LF | LAA
Angels' Wade Meckler: Sitting out versus southpaw
Meckler is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Boston.
The left-handed-hitting Meckler will often play against lefty hurlers, but he'll begin Tuesday's contest on the bench as the Red Sox send southpaw Patrick Sandoval to the hill.
-
Jac Caglianone RF | KC
Royals' Jac Caglianone: Remains out Tuesday
Caglianone (elbow) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Caglianone will be absent from the lineup for the third straight contest as he recovers from a left flexor strain. The Royals conclude their series with the Diamondbacks on Wednesday before they're idle Thursday, so it wouldn't be a surprise if Caglianone remains out of commission until his club begins a road trip Friday. Matthew Lugo will patrol right field for Kansas City on Tuesday.

Aaron Judge RF | NYY
Yankees' Aaron Judge: In right field, batting third in return
Judge will start in right field and will bat third Tuesday versus the Rockies in his return to the lineup.
Judge is finally back in the Yankees' lineup after missing more than three months of action with a stress fracture in his ribs. Because he's been out so long and skipped a rehab assignment, the Yankees plan to ease Judge back into an everyday role. That's expected to include early removal from games and some extra days off.

Jarren Duran LF | BOS
Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Duran is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.
Duran went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer in Monday's series opener to bust out of a 3-for-35 slump, and he'll take a seat Tuesday against Halos lefty Reid Detmers. Roman Anthony will shift to left field while Jahmai Jones picks up a start as the designated hitter.
-
Willson Contreras 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Willson Contreras: Takes on-field batting practice
Contreras (hamstring) took batting practice on the field at Fenway Park on Tuesday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Contreras is also expected to do some running on the field during Boston's series against the Angels that runs through Wednesday. It hasn't been determined yet whether Contreras needs a short rehab assignment before returning to the active roster. If he skips one, he could be activated as soon as Friday. Contreras has been out since late August with a left hamstring strain.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand 3B | BAL
Orioles' Christian Encarnacion-Strand: On bench Tuesday
Encarnacion-Strand is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians.
Encarnacion-Strand started the previous five games and will get a breather Tuesday after going 5-for-19 (.263 average) with two doubles, a homer and three RBI during that span. Coby Mayo will replace him in the lineup as the designated hitter while Blaze Alexander shifts to third base.
-
Mickey Gasper DH | BOS
Red Sox's Mickey Gasper: Taking seat Tuesday
Gasper is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.
Gasper started the previous eight contests and will receive a day off after batting .231 (6-for-26) with a double, three homers and a 7:6 BB:K during that span. Willson Contreras (hamstring) could be back from the injured list as soon as Friday, but the Red Sox may try to keep Gasper in the lineup however they can given his recent offensive production. Nick Sogard will pick up a start at first base Tuesday while Andruw Monasterio handles the keystone.
-
Adley Rutschman C | BOS
Red Sox's Adley Rutschman: Exiting starting nine
Rutschman is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Angels.
The switch-hitting Rutschman has been better against righties (.789 OPS) than lefties (.640 OPS) this season, so he'll get a break as the Angels send southpaw Reid Detmers to the hill. Connor Wong will do the catching and will bat ninth for the Red Sox.
