  • Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Dominant finish to regular season

Schlittler (4-3) picked up the win Saturday, scattering two hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings in a 6-1 victory over the Orioles. He struck out nine.

The nine Ks were a career high for Schlittler in his 14th big-league start, and Baltimore didn't get a runner past second base over the right-hander's 97 pitches (63 strikes). He wraps up the regular season with a 2.96 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 84:31 K:BB in 73 innings, and while the Yankees have veteran options like Max Fried and Carlos Rodon available, Schlittler has made a strong case to have a significant role in the team's postseason rotation plans.

  • Coby Mayo 1B | BAL

Orioles' Coby Mayo: Swats 11th homer

Mayo went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Yankees.

The rookie spoiled a combined shutout bid for the Orioles' AL East rivals when he took Paul Blackburn deep in the eighth inning. Mayo has a mediocre .694 OPS over 291 plate appearances on the season, but the 23-year-old is ending the campaign on a high note as he stakes a claim to the starting first base job in 2026, batting .410 (16-for-39) over his last 14 games with four of his 11 homers on the year.

  • Orioles' Tomoyuki Sugano: Rocked in final 2025 start

Sugano (10-10) took the loss Saturday as the Orioles fell 6-1 to the Yankees, giving up four runs on five hits -- including three home runs -- over 4.1 innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

The 35-year-old righty tossed 48 of 73 pitches for strikes before getting the hook, but Sugano may have been catching too much of the plate -- Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Ryan McMahon all took him deep in the first two innings. Sugano lost his last five decisions to put his first North American season in the books, with his last win coming Aug. 14. Over 157 innings for Baltimore, he posted a 4.64 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 106:36 K:BB.

  • Keider Montero SP | DET

Tigers' Keider Montero: Goes 4.1 innings vs. Red Sox

Montero didn't factor into the decision Saturday against Boston, allowing one run on five hits across 4.1 innings. He struck out seven.

While Montero had a short leash Saturday, it was a strong bounce-back outing for the right-hander, after he gave up three runs in three innings while walking four against Atlanta his last time out. The 25-year-old Montero will finish the regular season at 5-3 with a 4.37 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 72:31 K:BB across 90.2 innings.

  • Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Smacks another solo homer

Aranada went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during the Rays' 5-1 loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

The Rays struggled to generate any offense in Saturday's loss, though Aranda supplied the team's only run with a solo homer off Yariel Rodriguez in the sixth inning. Aranda has belted a home run in each of the two games he's played in since returning from the IL on Friday and is up to 14 on the year. He has an .883 OPS with 55 runs, 22 doubles and 56 RBI across 417 plate appearances this season.

  • Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Belts 13th homer of 2025

Kirk went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Toronto's 5-1 win over Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Kirk -- who entered Saturday's tilt having gone 0-for-20 with one RBI across the last six games -- gave the Blue Jays a four-run lead in the seventh inning with a 432-foot solo shot to left field. The 26-year-old catcher is up to 13 home runs on the season, which is as many as he tallied across the 2023 and 2024 campaigns combined. Even with his recent struggles at the plate, Kirk is enjoying a strong season in which he's slashing .278/.345/.404 with 43 runs, 17 doubles and 70 RBI across 501 plate appearances.

  • Royals' Jac Caglianone: Not starting Saturday

Caglianone isn't in the Royals' lineup for Saturday's game versus the Athletics.

The Royals will keep Caglianone in the dugout Saturday following an 0-for-8 stretch at the plate across his last three games. His absence will allow John Rave to start in center field and bat ninth.

  • Brett Harris 3B | ATH

Athletics' Brett Harris: Sitting down Saturday

Harris isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.

After having his four-game hitting streak snapped Friday, Harris will retreat to the dugout to begin the Athletics' penultimate regular-season contest. Darell Hernaiz will slide over to third base as a result, clearing second for Max Schuemann.

  • Sammy Peralta RP | LAA

Angels' Sammy Peralta: Called up Saturday

Peralta was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Peralta will return to the major-league bullpen following a demotion Monday, replacing Luis Garcia (oblique) after he was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday. Peralta owns an inflated 8.38 ERA and 2.07 WHIP with seven strikeouts over 9.2 innings in four appearances with the Angels in September.

  • Ernie Clement 3B | TOR

Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Contributes four runs in win

Clement went 2-for-3 with a two-run double, two runs scored and a steal during the Blue Jays' 5-1 win over the Rays on Saturday.

Clement got the Blue Jays on the board early with a two-run double off Joe Boyle in the second inning before crossing home plate one batter later. Clement got on base for a second time in the fifth, and after successfully stealing second base, he was brought home on a Nathan Lukes single to give Toronto a 4-0 lead. Since Sept. 1, Clement has slashed .286/.321/.416 with two steals, 14 runs, 10 doubles and nine RBI across 82 plate appearances.
