  • Twins' Ronny Henriquez: Back with big club

The Twins recalled Henriquez from Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday.

He'll join Minnesota as a replacement in the bullpen for left-hander Kody Funderburk (oblique), who was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Henriquez had previously made two appearances for the big club this season, striking out three over three scoreless innings.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: On bench, could lose everyday role

LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

The veteran infielder has a .472 OPS through 39 games this season and is hitting .154 with one extra-base hit in 39 at-bats during July. According to Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News, manager Aaron Boone wouldn't commit to LeMahieu being back in the lineup in Monday's series finale, perhaps signaling that the 36-year-old's time as an everyday player could be nearing its end.

  • Jake Meyers CF | HOU

Astros' Jake Meyers: Clubs 11th homer in win

Meyers went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's win over the Mariners.

Meyers took Ryne Stanek deep for a two-run shot in the top of the seventh to put Houston on top 3-2, giving the outfielder his third home run in his last five games. Meyers has also hit safely in six of his last eight contests, tallying six RBI and seven runs over that span. However, he's still batting just .151 (8-for-53) in July with one multi-hit performance.

  • Yainer Diaz C | HOU

Astros' Yainer Diaz: Slugs homer in win

Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Mariners.

Diaz singled in his second at-bat and later added a solo homer in the eighth to extend Houston's lead to two runs. The long ball was Diaz's eighth of the season and his first since June 7 against the Angels. It also marked his sixth multi-hit performance this month, during which he's now batting .306 (19-for-62) with 11 RBI and six runs scored. Additionally, Diaz has hit safely in six of his last seven games.

  • Jo Adell RF | CLE

Angels' Jo Adell: Swipes another bag

Adell went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in Saturday's loss to Oakland.

Though the Angels have been thumped in two straight games coming out of the break, Adell has been a bright spot, going 3-for-6 with a pair of thefts and a pair of walks. While he's still hitting just .197 on the campaign, the outfielder has put together a five-game hitting streak during which he's batting an even .500 (7-for-14) with a homer, six RBI and four free passes. Though his batting average has been a drain in fantasy, Adell's provided some useful production with 15 long balls and 12 steals overall.

  • Tigers' Kerry Carpenter: Shifts to 60-day IL

The Tigers transferred Carpenter (back) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Carpenter has been on the shelf since May 29 with a lumbar spine stress fracture and didn't resume hitting and taking part in a running progression until the All-Star break, so the move to the 60-day IL won't affect his timeline for a return to Detroit. Though he'll be eligible for activation beginning later this week, Carpenter will first need to ramp up his baseball activities further, then head out on a multi-game minor-league rehab assignment before returning from the IL. The transaction freed up a spot on the 40-man roster for first baseman/outfielder Bligh Madris, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Toledo ahead of Sunday's game in Toronto.

  • Abraham Toro 1B | BOS

Athletics' Abraham Toro: Logs full game at Triple-A

Toro (hamstring) started and played a full game at third base for Triple-A Las Vegas in its loss to Salt Lake on Saturday, going 2-for-4 with a run.

Toro led off and kept up the hot hitting he'd flashed while putting in three rehab appearances with the ACL Athletics over the All-Star break. The ability of the 27-year-old to both play a full game and hit well versus a higher caliber of competition certainly bodes well for Toro's chances of activation from the IL following his second scheduled game with the Aviators on Sunday.

  • Josh Hader RP | HOU

Astros' Josh Hader: Collects 20th save

Hader picked up a save over the Mariners on Saturday, allowing one walk over a scoreless ninth inning while striking out two.

Hader entered the contest with a two-run lead in the ninth and retired the first two batters before surrendering a walk to Jonatan Clase. The veteran reliever then made short work of Luke Raley for the third and final out, securing his 20th save of the campaign and his eighth in the month of July. Hader has also posted two strikeouts in four of his last five appearances while not allowing a hit over that stretch.

  • Ryne Stanek RP | STL

Mariners' Ryne Stanek: Takes loss in return Saturday

Stanek (6-3) was charged with the loss against the Astros on Saturday, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a walk over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one.

Stanek was making his first appearance since being pulled due to back spasms from an outing against the Angels in the final game before the All-Star break. The right-hander was tasked with preserving a 2-1 lead when entering in the seventh, but he immediately faltered by walking Jeremy Pena and then allowing a go-ahead two-run home run to Jake Meyers. The light-hitting Mariners were never able to make up the deficit, saddling Stanek with his second loss in the last three decisions. Stanek was able to throw 25 pitches overall, so unless reports indicating otherwise emerge, it appears his ineffectiveness Saturday was unrelated to any aggravation of the injury.

  • Easton Lucas RP | TOR

Tigers' Easton Lucas: Summoned from Triple-A

The Tigers recalled Lucas from Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.

Lucas will provide a fresh arm for a Detroit bullpen that was forced to cover the final seven innings of Saturday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jays after starter Reese Olson (shoulder) exited early. The southpaw reliever has previously made three appearances at the big-league level this season, all with Oakland. He had compiled a 4.38 ERA and 1.40 WHIP while striking out 32 batters over 24.2 innings at Toledo after Detroit claimed him off waivers in May.
