  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Royals' Adam Frazier: Sitting against lefty

Frazier is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona.

Frazier's defensive versatility has earned him a regular spot atop the Royals' batting order, but he'll take a seat Tuesday against a left-handed pitcher. The lefty-hitting Frazier is batting 5-for-33 with a homer and five runs during July.

  • Leody Taveras CF | BAL

Rangers' Leody Taveras: Out of Tuesday's lineup

Taveras is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Taveras will sit Tuesday after a stretch of 16 straight starts during which he posted a .283/.328/.434 slash line. Wyatt Langford will shift to center field while Robbie Grossman receives a start in left.

  • Kyle Isbel CF | KC

Royals' Kyle Isbel: On bench against LHP

Isbel is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Isbel will yield to Garrett Hampson in center field with southpaw Jordan Montgomery on the mound for Arizona. Isbel went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run during Monday's series opener.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Playing games soon

Dominguez (oblique) took live batting practice Monday in Tampa Bay and is expected to join Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to play in games "within a week," Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Dominguez sustained a strained left oblique in mid-June and was expected to miss up to eight weeks. However, he's ahead of schedule and will return before August. Still, it's likely that Dominguez will be eased into action. The 21-year-old outfielder has a 1.044 OPS in 37 plate appearances with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season and could be a candidate to join the Yankees later in the season.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Receiving Tuesday off

Seager is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Seager started the previous 15 games but will sit Tuesday after going 1-for-16 over the past five contests. Jonathan Ornelas will receive a start at shortstop versus White Sox lefty Garrett Crochet.

  • Tommy Pham DH | CHW

White Sox's Tommy Pham: Out of White Sox lineup

Pham is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers.

Pham homered in Monday's extra-inning loss to the Rangers, but he will begin Tuesday's contest on the bench. Gavin Sheets will be deployed in right field by the White Sox.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Tigers' Javier Baez: Not in Tuesday's lineup

Baez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Cleveland, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Baez started the previous three games after missing a couple contests due to a back injury, and he'll sit Tuesday while in the midst of a 6-for-48 slump. Zach McKinstry will start at shortstop and bat eighth for Detroit.

  • Red Sox's Isaiah Campbell: On Triple-A IL with elbow injury

Campbell was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday with right elbow inflammation, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

It's not clear how long Campbell might be sidelined, but certainly he won't be an option for Boston's bullpen anytime soon. The 26-year-old has been tagged for 13 runs (12 earned) over 6.2 innings with the Red Sox this season but has pitched well at Worcester, holding a 2.20 ERA and 19:5 K:BB across 16.1 frames.

  • Riley Greene LF | DET

Tigers' Riley Greene: Absent from Detroit lineup

Greene is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

Greene isn't dealing with any known injury, but it's a little odd to see him sitting out against righty Xzavion Curry, especially since he was just out of the lineup Saturday versus a left-hander. The Tigers are going with an outfield of Justyn-Henry Malloy, Matt Vierling and Wenceel Perez on Tuesday.

  • Tyler Holton RP | DET

Tigers' Tyler Holton: Starting bullpen game

Holton will start Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Holton will be the first reliever to take the mound for the Tigers during what's slated to be a bullpen game. The 28-year-old isn't likely to work more than three innings before handing the ball off.
