Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Exits after collision
Mateo was removed from Tuesday's game against the Marlins due to a left arm injury, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Mateo collided with Gunnar Henderson after both players dove for a groundball in the third inning, causing Mateo's arm to bend awkwardly. Mateo was immediately taken out of the game and replaced by Ramon Urias, and the Orioles' training staff will presumably take him in for imaging to determine the extent of his injury.

The Angels designated Hiura for assignment Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
The return of Luis Rengifo (wrist) from the IL on Tuesday will leave Hiura without a spot on the active roster, and because he has no more options remaining, he will also lose his spot on the 40-man. The 27-year-old has slashed an incredible .360/.429/.853 through 85 plate appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake, though he managed just a .296 OPS in 10 games with the Angels.

The Mariners recalled Locklear from Triple-A Tacoma, and he's starting at first base and batting sixth Tuesday against the Angels.
The Mariners have elected to move on from first baseman Ty France, and Locklear will now have the opportunity to secure the starting role after posting an .887 OPS between the Double-A and Triple-A levels this season. The 23-year-old received his first taste of the majors in June while France was banged up, but Locklear was sent back to Tacoma after just 11 games. He's poised for a longer stay this time around as one of Seattle's top prospects.

He's generated a slashed .235 average and .736 OPS across 90 games with the Rainiers this minor-league season, and his return to the majors comes with Julio Rodriguez (ankle) and J.P. Julio Rodriguez CF | SEA
Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Lands on IL
The Mariners placed Rodriguez on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right ankle sprain, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Rodriguez suffered the injury after crashing into the outfield wall during Sunday's contest. He was initially labeled as day-to-day, but after further evaluation from the Mariners' training staff, the team has elected to sideline the 23-year-old for at least 10 days rather than attempt to rush him back into the lineup. With Rodriguez out, the door is open for Jonatan Clase and the newly recalled Cade Marlowe to see playing time in Seattle's outfield.
