Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Moves to third in order
Semien batted third and went 1-for-5 with a run scored in Monday's 6-3 win over the Cardinals.
Texas manager Bruce Bochy tweaked the batting order, having Semien hit third for the first time this season. Josh Smith, who had been batting third, took over as the leadoff hitter. Bochy told Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that the change was part of integrating Josh Jung into the lineup. "We're just tweaking it a little bit here," the manager said. "With Jung coming back, you're gonna see a little different lineup. So we wanted to take a look at it here in this series and maybe farther." It's unclear if the switch was for only right-handers or all pitchers. Jung, who was activated off the 60-day injured list Monday, did not play in that night's game, so more changes could be coming once Jung returns to the field.

Walker Jenkins CF | MIN
Twins' Walker Jenkins: Promoted to High-A
The Twins promoted Jenkins from Single-A Fort Myers to High-A Cedar Rapids on Monday.
Jenkins' 2024 debut lasted one plate appearance before a strained left hamstring cost him two months, but since returning to action for Fort Myers in early June, he's been outstanding. The 19-year-old delivered elite walk (18.7 percent) and strikeout (11.2 percent) rates and slashed .279/.408/.426 over 152 plate appearances at Single-A to earn the promotion.

Anthony Volpe SS | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Volpe: Homers out of No. 9 slot
Volpe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run against the Phillies in Monday's 14-4 victory.
Volpe batted out of the No. 9 hole for the first time this season, but that didn't seem to effect his approach at the plate. The shortstop built onto a big Yankees lead in the eighth inning, swatting a two-run homer to give the team a seven-run advantage. Volpe has homered three times in his past seven games and is batting .313 (10-for-32) with four RBI over that stretch.

Ben Rice DH | NYY
Yankees' Ben Rice: Knocks seventh homer
Rice went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run against the Phillies in Monday's 14-4 victory.
Rice hit one of six Yankees homers in the contest, smashing a solo shot in the second inning. The rookie had been cold coming in, slashing just .107/.229/.214 without a homer over his previous nine games. It remains to be seen what the Yankees will do on the final day before the trade deadline, but Rice appears to have a path to a near-everyday role at first base -- at least until Anthony Rizzo (forearm) return to health -- after J.D. Davis was designated for assignment Sunday.

Juan Soto LF | NYM
Yankees' Juan Soto: Knocks in three runs Monday
Soto went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and three RBI in Monday's 14-4 thrashing of Philadelphia.
Though Soto didn't get in on the six homers New York racked up in the victory, he collected the team's only two doubles and was one of three Yankees with three RBI. The slugger has at least three hits on 11 occasions this season and has knocked in at least three runs 12 times. Soto has tallied 10 multi-hit performances over his past 15 games and is slashing .406/.479/.859 with six home runs, 14 RBI, 16 runs and a stolen base over that span.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Goes deep twice in rout
Chisholm went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, three total RBI and a walk in Monday's 14-4 win against the Phillies.
Chisholm made his first career start at third base Monday and excelled at the plate, swatting his first two homers since joining New York via trade Saturday. Though Chisholm started in center field in his first contest with his new club, manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that the veteran could see ample time at third base, which is a big need for the team's offense given DJ LeMahieu's struggles this season. Chisholm has gone 3-for-9 with Monday's two long balls over his first two games as a Yankee.

Aaron Judge RF | NYY
Yankees' Aaron Judge: Launches homers No. 38 and 39
Judge went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in a 14-4 rout of the Phillies on Monday.
Judge got the scoring started with a solo homer in the first inning and added a two-run shot in the seventh. The slugger has gone deep four times in his past four games, raising his season total to a league-high 39 long balls. Judge has driven in 10 runs over the four-game span and is up to 99 RBI on the season, 14 more than the batter (Jose Ramirez) with the next-highest total.

Luis Gil RP | NYY
Yankees' Luis Gil: Gets lots of run support in victory
Gil (11-5) earned the win over Philadelphia on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings.
Gil was given a 3-0 lead after two frames, and despite allowing a run in each of the third and fourth innings, he cruised to his 11th victory of the season as the Yankees offense piled on 14 runs by the end of the contest. The right-hander tallied 14 swinging strikes en route to eight punchouts and gave up just one extra-base hit (a solo homer). Gil's three-game streak of allowing just one run came to an end, but he did pick up his second with over his past three starts.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Records 24th steal
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Monday's 8-5 win over the White Sox.
Since Garcia was dropped from the leadoff spot July 7, he's batting .327 (16-for-49) with three extra-base hits and three steals over 15 contests. He's hit atop the order twice in that span, but has most often batted eighth and occasionally seventh. It appears he's doing more with less, and his speed makes him an interesting fantasy option even without the leadoff gig. Garcia has a career-high 24 steals to go with six home runs, 45 RBI, 64 runs scored, 18 doubles, five triples and a .238/.287/.350 slash line over 104 contests this season.

Hunter Renfroe RF | KC
Royals' Hunter Renfroe: Hits 11th homer
Renfroe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 8-5 win over the White Sox.
Renfroe is batting .300 (9-for-30) with three homers and 11 RBI over 10 games since the All-Star break. He also has a 6:6 BB:K in that span. The outfielder has had a difficult first year in Kansas City, but it looks like he's turning things around. Overall, Renfroe has a .234/.314/.415 slash line, 11 homers, 41 RBI, 33 runs scored, 15 doubles and one stolen base through 86 contests.
