Westburg is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

He hasn't suffered any reported injuries through the Orioles' first three games, so manager Brandon Hyde seems to be giving the 26-year-old infielder a planned day off for the series finale in Toronto after Westburg went 6-for-13 with three solo home runs, a walk and an additional run to begin the season. Jackson Holliday will slide over from shortstop to fill in at second base.

The Rangers placed Jung (neck) on the 10-day injured list Sunday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Jung battled neck stiffness late in spring training, but he was cleared ahead of Opening Day and started in the Rangers' first two games, going 3-for-7 with an RBI. However, he was held out of the lineup for Saturday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox after the neck spasms cropped up again, and the Rangers have now decided to shut Jung down for a bit. Per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy said that he's hoping Jung will need only a minimum-length stay on the shelf, so the 27-year-old third baseman could be back in action as soon as April 8.

The Orioles selected Bowman's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Bowman will likely work in middle relief, filling the spot in the bullpen opened up when Albert Suarez (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. The 33-year-old Bowman made 25 appearances at the big-league level in 2024 across stops with the Twins, Diamondbacks, Mariners and Orioles, submitting a 4.40 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB in 30.2 innings.

The Orioles placed Suarez on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to right shoulder inflammation.

Baltimore called up right-hander Matt Bowman from Triple-A Norfolk to join the bullpen as a replacement for Suarez. The veteran righty displayed diminished velocity in his season debut Friday, when he was charged with two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out two across 2.2 innings in a 8-2 loss to the Blue Jays. Suarez will be eligible for activation as soon as April 13.

Harris allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one over one-third of a scoreless inning to earn a hold in Saturday's 4-2 victory over Seattle.

Harris shuffled between Triple-A and the majors last season despite good numbers but finally established himself in the bullpen late in the year. He had a 2.50 ERA with a 19:8 K:BB in 18 innings after being called up from Triple-A in late August last season. He had a strong 24.1 percent strikeout rate at Triple-A last season and 20.0 percent in the majors, but will need to reduce his walks to stay up with the big club.

Ferguson threw a perfect eighth inning while striking out two Saturday against the Mariners to earn his first hold of the season.

Ferguson will be a key setup man for the A's after displaying strong strikeout rates as a rookie last season. He struck out 105 batters across 79.2 innings between the Athletics (51.1 innings) and Triple-A Las Vegas (28.1 innings) in 2024.

Coulombe allowed one hit and one walk in a scoreless inning Saturday against St. Louis.

Coulombe missed much of the 2024 campaign following surgery to remove bone chips from his pitching elbow, but has looked healthy this spring. He'll be a key lefty setup man for the Twins this season.

Alcala (0-1) took the loss in Saturday's 5-1 defeat to the Cardinals. He allowed three runs on two hits and a walk while failing to record an out in the sixth inning.

Alcala was hit in the shoulder area by a line drive on the first batter he faced. While he stayed in the game and there wasn't a report of an injury, he may have been rattled as he then had trouble throwing strikes. The right-hander has premium velocity and reached a career-high 101.2 mph last summer, and he could work his way into a high-leverage role if he can string together better results.

Ramiriez (wrist) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

The third baseman suffered a sprained right wrist on a stolen-base attempt during the third inning Saturday, so it's not a surprise he'll be out of the starting nine for at least one game. Ramirez is undergoing additional testing and should be considered day-to-day in the meantime. Gabriel Arias will shift to the hot corner while Daniel Schneemann starts at second base in the series finale at Kansas City.

Gasper got his first major league hit while going 1-for-3 in Saturday's loss against St. Louis. He went 0-for-18 in 13 games with the Red Sox last season.

Gasper was a surprise starter at DH against a right-handed pitcher, but Twins manager Rocco Baldelli was likely just getting some bench players work early in the season. Gasper looked healthy after suffering a left ankle laceration that required six stitches last week. His start also shows the Twins have confidence in him after he posted a .289/.404/.395 slash line this spring.
