Garcia went 1-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional RBI in Monday's 11-1 win over Milwaukee.

Garcia took a 93 mph fastball from Elvin Rodriguez deep for a 428-foot solo home run to center field in the second inning, and the former drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh frame to bring in another run. Garcia manned third base in his last two outings but got the start in center field Monday, and his utility should allow him to see every day work. He's gone 5-for-13 with two solo home runs through the first four games of the 2025 season.

India went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Monday's 11-1 win over the Brewers.

India was given the green light to play Monday after being removed from Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Guardians after being struck on the helmet by a pitch in the ninth inning. It didn't appear to affect him Monday, as he led the team with three hits including a two-run single in the seventh to expand the Royals' lead to eight runs. Following his 0-for-5 effort on Opening Day, India has gone 6-for-11 with two walks and two RBI across his last three outings.

The Athletics optioned Harris to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Harris was sent to the minors to clear a spot on the 26-man roster for reliever Angel Perdomo, whom the Athletics claimed off waivers from the Angels. After he was unable to win a spot in the Athletics' season-opening rotation during spring training, Harris headed to the bullpen and collected a hold in his lone relief appearance Saturday against the Mariners prior to being demoted. Harris could get stretched back out as a starter with Las Vegas.

The Blue Jays could start Lucas on Wednesday versus the Nationals, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Kevin Gausman is currently penciled in for Wednesday, but they could push him back to Friday if Lucas isn't needed in relief prior to Wednesday. The Blue Jays are in need of a fill-in starter for Max Scherzer (thumb), and it seems they're leaning toward Lucas over Yariel Rodriguez.

The Blue Jays could push Gausman's next start back to Friday against the Mets, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Gausman is currently scheduled to take the ball Wednesday versus the Nationals, but the Blue Jays might have Easton Lucas start that day if he's not needed in long relief before then. There does not appear to be anything wrong physically with Gausman, as this would simply give him a couple extra days of rest and also allow him to face the tougher lineup.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Varsho (shoulder) felt good after playing catch out to 150 feet Monday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Varsho has been gradually increasing his throwing distance since the early stages of spring training, and the Blue Jays are confident that he's trending in the right direction as he works his way back from rotator cuff surgery, which he underwent last September. Varsho will likely need to extend his distance to around 175 to 200 feet before he would be considered ready to play the outfield in rehab games. Since Varsho is fully cleared to hit and was able to get in plenty of at-bats during the Grapefruit League as a designated hitter, he likely won't need a lengthy rehab assignment before the Blue Jays bring him back from the 10-day injured list. He could be trending toward a mid-April debut with the big club.

Burr (shoulder) is throwing on flat ground but is not ready to throw off a mound yet, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Burr missed all of spring training and landed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation. While it's certainly a good sign he's able to play catch, the reliever does not appear to be close to returning.

Rodgers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Rodgers started at second base in the Astros' first two games of the season and went 0-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts, but he's now ceded the keystone to Mauricio Dubon and Jose Altuve on consecutive days. Altuve is still expected to see the bulk of his playing time in left field this season, but Rodgers may struggle to carve out a full-time role while Dubon remains in the mix at second base.

Altuve is starting at second base and batting leadoff in Monday's contest against the Giants.

Altuve manned his new left field position in all three games of the Astros' opening series against the Mets, but he's back at his old spot for the series opener versus the Giants. He remains the team's primary left fielder, but Altuve will still play second base on occasion, and doing so Monday with flyball pitcher Ronel Blanco on the mound for Houston makes sense. Mauricio Dubon is handling left field.

Adell (hip) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

He'll head to the bench for the second day in a row while he manages a tight left hip, but Adell said his condition is improving and he expects to be back in the lineup Tuesday, per Fletcher. Kyren Paris will pick up another start in center field in place of Adell.
