Estevez (1-0) picked up the win in 10 innings Sunday at Detroit, pitching two scoreless innings with a strikeout. He allowed no hits and one walk.

Estevez worked the ninth and 10th innings to pocket his first win with the Royals. Despite a shaky 5.4 BB/9 through 10 innings this season, the veteran right-hander now sports a 0.90 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB. Estevez is also 5-for-6 on save chances and remains cemented as the closer over Lucas Erceg in Kansas City.

Wacha did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Tigers, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

The 33-year-old looked sharper in this 89-pitch performance, generating an impressive 14 whiffs while scattering seven singles. The Tigers plated both runs against Wacha in a four-hit fifth inning. Despite not completing six innings in any outing to qualify for a quality start this season, Wacha has been respectable, pitching to a 4.15 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB across 26 innings. He is currently scheduled to draw his next start against the Astros at home next weekend.

Kwan went 1-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Pirates.

Kwan got the Guardians on the board with a third-inning home run. It was the fourth homer of the season for Kwan, who's hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 15-for-43 (.349) with three home runs and 11 RBI.

Pederson was held out of the starting lineup against a right-hander Sunday against the Dodgers.

The hot-hitting Josh Smith filled in at designated hitter against a right-hander, which has been Pederson's role. Unfortunately for Pederson, a season-opening slump (3-for-55, .055) may cost him some starts in the short term.

Smith started at designated hitter against a right-hander and went 3-for-4 in Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Dodgers.

Smith replaced a struggling Joc Pederson, who's batting just .055 (3-for-55). The season-opening slump may eventually cost Pederson his job as the DH against righties. Smith is hitting too well -- he's up to .378 following Sunday's loss -- to ignore and could gain a greater share of starts at DH going forward.

Wells went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 4-0 win over Tampa Rays.

Wells put the finishing touches on Sunday's victory, taking Garrett Cleavinger deep in the top of the ninth inning for New York's final run of the game. The catcher is now batting .197 with four home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored over 61 at-bats in 19 games this season. After homering in each of the first two games of the season, Wells has now hit a more modest two more home runs since that hot start.

McKinstry went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Sunday's 4-3, 10-inning loss to the Royals.

McKinstry has moved up to third in Detroit's batting order recently due to a hot start to the season, and he kept on rolling Sunday. The utility player is now batting .288 with an .809 OPS, both of which would be new career highs. McKinstry has also tallied 11 runs scored and 11 RBI across 21 games played.

Holton (1-2) allowed an unearned run across two innings of relief to take the loss Sunday against the Royals in 10 innings. He struck out three.

Holton didn't allow any hits or walks, but a Bobby Witt sac fly in the bottom of the 10th inning brought home the automatic baserunner and gave Kansas City a 4-3 win. The lefty reliever hasn't allowed an earned run across his last five appearances, during which he's struck out six batters in 5.1 innings. For the season, Holton now has a stellar 1.54 ERA as he continues to serve as a reliable bullpen option for the Tigers despite the losing record.

Grisham went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and three strikeouts in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Rays.

Grisham started the game off with a bang, launching a solo home run off Ryan Pepiot as the Yankees' leadoff hitter. The outfielder has now gone deep in back-to-back games and six times overall this season. Grisham is batting .320 with six home runs, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored over 50 at-bats in 20 games in 2025.

Pepiot (1-3) was tagged with a loss after he pitched six innings, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven batters in Sunday's 4-0 defeat to the Yankees.

Pepiot bounced back well after surrendering six runs over six innings in his last start Tuesday against the Red Sox. One of the right-hander's biggest problems this season has been the long ball, and he surrendered two more Sunday. Trent Grisham launched a solo shot in the first inning before Cody Bellinger went deep with a solo homer of his own in the top of the sixth. Pepiot has now given up eight home runs over his first five starts of the season. He'll carry a 4.82 ERA and 1.50 WHIP into his next projected start Saturday in San Diego.
